Nayla sat next to Ardian who was already lying on the bed in the hospital room with an IV tube stuck in Ardian's arm with blood flowing in it.
"Does it hurt sir?" Nayla asked seeing Ardian's face a little sore and pale.
"Got used to this pain Nay." Ardian replied with a smile.
"Um, I'll be out for a bit, right sir? I will come back again." said Nayla could not bear to see sick people.
"Nay, eat in the canteen you haven't had breakfast since morning right?" Ardian asked before Nayla opened the door.
Nayla smiled then nodded slightly.
Nayla took a deep breath, leaning against the door of Ardian's room.
"Why is Ardian so very kind, when he doesn't have anything to eat himself but still has time to think about other people's stomachs."
Nayla blinked her eyes so as not to be dissolved by her heart starting to be touched by Ardian's kindness.
Feeling slightly disturbed, Nayla walked over to the information booth to ask who Ardian's doctor was.
After knowing that it was Doctor Ketut who handled Ardian, Nayla looked for Ketut's doctor in her office.
"Good afternoon Doc, I am Nayla, the family of Mr. Ardian's patient." said Nayla after being in the Ketut doctor's office.
"Good afternoon too Nayla, can I help you?" asked Doctor Ketut in a friendly manner.
"I want to ask about Mr. Ardian's current condition, Doc." said Nayla with a pounding heart.
"Em, Nayla already knows that she doesn't know Mr. Ardian's illness history?" asked Doctor Ketut, taking a list of Ardian's medical history.
"Don't know Doc, can the doctor tell me?" asked Nayla even more curious.
"Mr. Ardian had just suffered from kidney failure five years ago when he donated one of his kidneys to a patient who at that time was in critical need of a kidney. After two years since living with one kidney, Mr. Ardian has had kidney problems until now, have severe kidney failure and must undergo dialysis to survive." explained Doctor Ketut at length.
"That means it's been five years, Doc, Mr. Ardian lives with only one kidney?" asked Nayla attentively.
"Yes, it is like that, actually there is no problem for people who live with one kidney, if their lifestyle is healthy and awake, they don't work too much day and night, Mr. Ardian is a hard worker, so that is one of the reasons." said the doctor at length who knew Ardian's history of illness.
Nayla can only be silent, recalled his father who had also experienced kidney failure and had only recovered five years ago when his father got a kidney donor from someone who did not Nayla did not know who.
"Alright Doctor, thank you for the explanation regarding Mr. Ardian's illness." said Nayla with mixed feelings.
"If I may know what relationship Nayla has with Mr. Ardian?" asked Doctor Ketut before saying goodbye.
Nayla smiled shyly.
"I am the future wife of Mr. Ardian Doc." said Nayla with her face flushed red.
Doctor Ketut smiled meaningfully.
"Then I'll excuse me Sir, maybe Mr. Ardian has finished his dialysis." said Nayla, smiling then walked out of Doctor Ketut's room.
Hearing the story of Ardian's illness history made Nayla have no appetite for going to the canteen, but her steps led her back to Ardian's room, where he was lying after doing dialysis.
Nayla opened the bedroom door slowly and saw Ardian's face, which was a little fresh, compared to before the dialysis this morning.
Ardian smiled when he saw Nayla return.
"Have you eaten Nay?" Ardian asked looking sad at Nayla.
"No, I can't find my favorite food, sir." replied Nayla giving reasons.
"How about we go to the cafeteria with sir?" Nayla asked, having the idea that Ardian would also fill his stomach, which was also not filled with food.
"Wait Doctor Ketut first Nay, if Doctor Ketut said that I was stable, he was usually allowed to go home immediately." said Ardian, who was happy with Nayla's invitation.
Nayla was silent sitting beside Ardian, after a few minutes Doctor Ketut came from behind the door smiling at Ardian and Nayla.
"How did Mr. Ardian feel better after dialysis? Better to do dialysis routine sir, Don't forget what kind of day will be, Mr. Ardian will drop too, what's more now that there is a prospective wife who is so attentive to Mr. Ardian." Said Doctor Ketut which made Nayla embarrassed, and made Ardian confused but happy.
"Doctor Ketut knows where?" Ardian asked hanging his question.
"From Mr. Ardian's future wife who came to my place to find out about the progress of Mr. Ardian's illness, wasn't that right Nayla?" Doctor Ketut asked Nayla, whose face was already flushed with embarrassment.
Ardian's heart melted in disbelief at what he heard, if it wasn't Doctor Ketut who said it, Ardian might not believe it, This was Doctor Ketut himself who said it and Nayla herself did not deny it when Doctor Ketut asked her.
Ardian's eyes could not stop looking at Nayla's face, which was lowered in shame.
"Mr. Ardian's results are stable so don't forget that next week you have to be on time for your dialysis, sir?" Said Doctor Ketut reminded Ardian.
After Doctor Ketut left, Nayla walked over to Ardian and helped Ardian who tried to sit up.
"Shall we go to Nay's canteen?" Ardian asked carefully, not wanting to make Nayla in a bad mood.
"So sir, you haven't eaten yet." Nayla replied helping Ardian to his feet so he would not fall.
"Are we there now?" Ardian asked again looking at Nayla with a dreamlike feeling.
Nayla nodded, releasing her grip after Ardian walked slowly out of the room.
Nayla walked following Ardian who was walking slowly beside her.
Arriving at Nayla's canteen, she took the initiative to quickly find an empty seat.
"We sit there Mr. Ardian." said Nayla, unconsciously grabbing Ardian's hand and led him to walk towards the designated table.
Ardian's heart trembled again, really Ardian didn't know what to say with Nayla's change of attitude, change because of starting to love him or because of the deals that have been made.
"What do you want to order, Nay?" Ardian asked after they sat down and a waiter came and offered Ardian and Nayla the menu.
"I'll just drink, sir." replied Nayla who still had no appetite after knowing all the stories about Ardian.
"Then I'll just order a drink, too." Ardian said calmly.
"It can't be that, sir, Mr. Ardian is sick so he has to eat." said Nayla, not wanting Ardian to do anything.
"You also have to eat Nay, so you don't get sick like me." said Ardian staring into Nayla's beautiful face.
"Alright sir, we order the same food." said Nayla, finally giving in for Ardian, who needed food intake.
