**ADDIE'S POV**

I followed Violet into the room then. Letting her take me over to where she had a bath waiting for me.

"It is best that you are wearing no makeup, Princess Addie. And that your hair is not pulled back. This will keep you from feeling uncomfortable later."

"Understood."

The next hour passed in a blur. I took my bath, which turned into a long and relaxing soak that actually did help me to calm down a little bit. After the bath, I made sure that I was thoroughly dried off before Violet rubbed a scented oil onto my skin.

"This here is to make sure that your skin is primed for your first shift. When we're young, we begin putting this on regularly after a certain age. We do so to make sure that when we shift our skin is soft and changes shape easier. After the first shift, things are a lot easier."
