Chapter 187- Addie – Gifts (VOLUME 2)

**ADDIE'S POV**

After the monster was destroyed, there was a lot of thank you's given to me. I was feeling very uncomfortable with how much everyone was acting like I had done something truly spectacular. I just wanted to move on and do what I needed to do. I was here for a reason, and we really shouldn't spend too much time on the other things that weren't part of my mission.

With much insistence on my part, we moved from the square where I had killed the monster back to the room in Lord Calvin's home. I wanted to get away from the crowd that was insisting on praising me every chance that they got. This was moderately better, but not perfect. It seemed that Lord Calvin was of the same mind as his people. He was so thankful for me and what I had done.
