Chapter 10- Addie – Shopping Part 5 Volume 4

***ADDIE'S POV***

The entire shop around us was silent. All my guests were as still and silent as church mice. No one wanted to be the first to break the stillness that had settled around us, because they didn't want to be the ones responsible for making the situation worse.

Luckily, they didn't have to worry about that. It was going to be Queen Mallory herself that broke the eerie calmness that had filled the space. I even saw the shopkeeper looking around as if he was trying to find a place to hide. Somewhere he might not find himself in the crossfire between a princess and a queen.

"What…" Queen Mallory drew the word out as she started to speak. I could tell she was trying to intimidate me, but I wasn't having it. These were my people and my friends, and I wasn't going to let her treat them like that. "Did you say to me?" She finished her question with a death glare that, if looks could kill, would have ended me right then and there.
