Jungle Training - Part 1

That same day, Kalifa became very angry with Kaito for spying on her, for the rest of the day she didn't say a word. Kaku asked what was happening but neither of them answered.

The following days were the same, when Kaito tried to talk to Kalifa, she ignored him. Kaito, in turn, always apologized.

Kaku by his side stopped asking and continued talking to both of them even though they didn't talk between them.

The rest days are over and to Kaito's joy, Kalifa stopped being angry, but told Kaito not to spy on her again. Kaito swear not to do it again.

Kaito - (I don't want to be hit by Kalifa again) -

The first day of training the three together, they got up early, Kaito did his own warm-up exercises in the morning. And after breakfast they met in front of the main building of the camp to wait for the instructor.

The three after talking for a few more minutes, went to the training camps, for their luck the rest of the recruits were out of the camp and had the training camp for themselves.

During that week, the three trained separately, Kalifa found an instructor who knew how to fight with her legs and helped her learn the basics. On the other hand, Kaito along with a marine who agreed to help, trained Kaku in combat with two swords. Soon Kaku realized that he could combine rankyaku and fencing to fight.

For his part, Kaito trained the same routine he did in the past. The only thing he couldn't do was practice his devil fruit skills. Kaito needed a bigger space and he didn't want to get so much attention from Cipher Pol officers.

Kaito - (let's see what I can train… my style of rokushiki is similar or superior to that of Kalifa and Kaku, my fencing is still very good. As for my haki, the amount of haki that I can absorb and recover only with meditation and the practice has diminished, just as Rayleigh said to Luffy, now I can only increase and improve my fighting haki. But my bososhoku haki is already good, I think I could train my kenbunshoku haki more, maybe I can leave at the same level as Katakuri, that would be impressive, but it will take me a long time to do the same) -

The week passed quickly and soon the day came when they would be taken to the jungle. The three met with the instructor and he covered their eyes, then led them to a boat on the pier and took them to a desert island near the base island. Once they were taken to the center of the island, the bandages were removed and the instructor left.

Kaito - (well with my current observation haki level I can't feel anything further than five meters; I think it will take me more time yes in these years I only have this level) -

Kaito - normally in this type of training you do? -

Kalifa - the first thing we have to find a safe place to make a base from where we will act -

Kaku - after that we look for food and water for several days, during those days or we train or do the missions we are ordered -

Kaito - I see, in this case we have to defeat five wild beasts -

Kalifa - yes, but unlike the previous times we did this type of training, they have left us in the center of the island, on this island every time you approach the center, the wild beasts are stronger, and this is the first time we are in this area -

Thus, the three began to explore the area to find a suitable place to camp during those months of training in the jungle.

They were looking for a few hours to find a small waterfall, decided to camp at the foot of it and start looking for fruits or small animals to eat.

For their bad luck they only found fruits, although they could satisfy their hunger with them, they knew that meat would be the ideal to recover energy.

Kaku decided to try fishing in the river, since Kalifa did not know how to fish and Kaito wore gloves with kairoseki and did not like the idea of falling into the water, Kaito had thought of several countermeasures to tell the fact that he cannot swim, he had devised several plans that I could try, but at the moment I had neither technique nor ability to test them.

That day in the end Kaku had no luck and failed to catch anything, that night they had to settle for the fruits they had found.

Kaito - and how do you watch the surroundings at night? -

Kaku - normally as we were two people each slept four hours while the other watched -

Kalifa - but being three we can take three-hour shifts and so everyone can sleep for about 6 hours -

Kaito - OK, so I made the first guard -

Kaito watched as the two lay on the makeshift beds made of leaves and branches. Then Kaito continued watching the fire they made.

Kaito - (it's a good time to practice kenbunshoku haki and see if I notice anything around me) -

Kaito closed his eyes and began to focus on his spiritual strength and gradually dispersed it in his surroundings.

That was how Kaito spent his first night in the jungle with his two companions.
