Chapter 15

[Touko's POV]

I find myself in front of the door of Akizono Kanna's apartment or Aki-nee, she is a friend of mine and is a descendant of a succubus just like me.

*Knock* *Knock

After knocking it didn't take long for Aki-nee to open the door.

"Ara? Touko-chan, welcome, come in, come in, don't stay outside." - she said and after saying that she stepped aside.

"Mmm..." - I nodded as I entered her apartment.

"Sit down. Do you want something to drink?" - She asked me.

I nodded, but I didn't say anything else, she knows what kind of drink I had.

"But I'm surprised you came to see me on a Sunday. I thought that after you told me you found someone to stay with, you wouldn't leave him alone for a day." - She said as she brought me a juice she took out of her refrigerator.

"Haruka went out early and I came to ask you for help." - I told her, feeling a little embarrassed by what I said, normally I wouldn't do this, but she has more experience than me.

"Ara, what could have happened that the cute touko-chan came to ask me for help?" - She commented while making exaggerated gestures, but said. - "Tell me from the beginning... In detail"

I then began to talk a little about this week, she listened to what I said in silence and only when I finished speaking did she speak.

"Mmmm... Who would have thought that the serious and antisocial touko-chan could be in love in just a week..." - She commented making me frown.

"I didn't say I was in love..." - I told her, I just told her that I felt upset with Haruka for going with another girl and not coming back early.

"Oh, poor Touka, either you're trying to ignore it or you really haven't noticed." - She said with a sigh and then commented. - "Now I would really like to meet the boy... Do you think that if I go I could..."

"You can't meet him!!" - I interrupted her, surprising myself for having done it, but I still have the thought that if Haruka meets Aki-nee it would be bad, for both of us, but then I realized that she was smiling.

"See, Touko-chan, if you really weren't in love you wouldn't react like that. You are very possessive, we both are, but if you weren't in love you really wouldn't care if I did it with him, or am I wrong?" - She said with a smile while looking at me, I avoided her gaze.

Then I didn't answer but took a long sip of my drink because even though I tried to ignore it, it was true what she said.

'Am I that easy to fall in love with?' - I asked myself after I stopped drinking the juice, I never thought I would fall in love with a boy in just a week...

"You're not, touko-chan, but that boy must be someone special to make you fall in love so quickly. Now I'm really curious what kind of boy he is." - She said as if she read my thoughts.

I hate it when she does that, it's supposed to be impossible for someone to do that because I keep an expressionless face most of the time, but she manages to do it so easily.

"It's okay, you said you wanted my help, right?" - She said suddenly catching my attention and making me come out of my thoughts again.

"Then, I'll help you win him over, but you have to let me meet him." - She said with a smile on her face.

'...' - At first I didn't say anything and wanted to refuse, but then I thought. - 'Knowing her, she'll still go meet him even without my permission'

Then with a sigh I agreed with her while thinking. - 'Luckily Haruka isn't the type of guy she likes.'

That was my only consolation while Aki-nee was smiling happily.

[Haruka's point of view]

"And this is the last one... Finally..." - I murmured as I pulled my knife from the head of the zombie I just killed.

It has been about 5 hours since I entered the dungeon, 5 quite bloody and repetitive hours.

I did exactly what I said I would do, kill the zombies inside the houses.

This was mostly annoying because I had to be very careful of the zombie leader of the adventurers who walked around the town like a guardian.

His senses were very strong, he managed to see a chicken that was quite far from him. Yes, he can see, so zombies maintain or regain their senses as long as they are or become stronger.

So my journey through the town was quite stressful, but thanks to that it made me more careful and quiet when moving and so I earned this skill.

[Stealth: 5]: Skill that improves stealthy movements. It allows you to find the best places where you can step without making too much noise.

Then after killing 10 zombies silently without being noticed thanks to being able to avoid stepping on places that make noise, I earned this other room.

[Silent Attack: 2]: Skill that improves all attacks that are done silently by 20%. It increases by 10% each level.

I have been leveling up both of them, the first one quite quickly in my opinion, but the easy mode is over.

'Now it's time to kill all the zombies outside... This is going to be annoying.' - I thought as I looked out the second floor window of the house I'm in.

I have seen the leader zombie, but so far I haven't been able to see the other two adventurous zombies.

Also while I was going from house to house I was counting the normal zombies that were on the street, I even managed to kill 3, but there are still about 15 normal zombies that are spread throughout the town.

And that's not counting the zombie animals, this town has a small farm with some animals, I don't know how many there are exactly but from the few I saw, I noticed that they were also zombies.

'I thought that zombies didn't attack animals, but I realized that they attack everything that makes noise.' - I thought as I went down the stairs, I didn't forget to take out my sword and put the knife away since I wasn't going to need it now that I'm going outside.

Then I left the house and saw about 3 zombies in front of the house. I ran towards one of the zombies that had his back to me and killed him before he could react.

Now that I'm over my nerves, I can act better, faster and more accurately.

I managed to kill the zombie and before it fell I saved it in my inventory. One thing I've been doing is saving the corpses of the zombies in my inventory, since I plan to burn them after I finish killing all the zombies in the town.

Then the other two zombies had time to react and attack while I was killing their companion, but I crouched down and did a sweep that made the two zombies fall.

I killed one shortly after falling and the other before he could get up.

'I'm getting good at killing zombies...' - I thought, but then I changed my mind. - 'Well, normal zombies...'

I really don't see myself managing to do that with the leader zombie, call it instinct, but I feel that the battle against him would be quite difficult. Not impossible, but difficult.

But I didn't stay in thought any longer, but continued with my zombie killing spree.

[Sometime later]

Well, now that I didn't have to go into houses and avoid making too much noise, I managed to kill the last 14 zombies I had left in a short time.

Of course I was still alert and avoided making too much noise, I also avoided the zombie leader, but it was even harder than before because despite not leaving much evidence.

He still increased his vigilance as he made his guard rounds around the village and also when I was 2 zombies away from killing, I noticed that he brought his other two companions.

They stayed close to him in a formation with the leader in front, the mage in the middle and the swordsman behind.

It was strange to see three zombies walking in a straight line, but it seems that despite becoming zombies they still retain some knowledge, not just intelligence.

That small line serves to protect the mage zombie, who despite being magically in the same range as the two, is physically weaker. Of course, the leader and swordsman zombies have less mana than the mage zombies, although they both have more mana than me.

'So, how do I do this??' - I asked myself not very sure, if before with the leader zombie I thought it would be a difficult battle, now with the other three it becomes practically impossible...
