Chapter 480 Aunt

As the former city leader went with her people to the Third Realm. A surprising visit from Margaret came along.

"Shall I escort them to Eden?" Margaret asked in a weird tone.

"Sure. That makes things simplier." Rex replied with a worried tone.

As the group entered the Stairway, Rex felt a wave of emotion that seemed like the former city lord was close to him.

"Must be my imagination." Rex thought.

He continued to get the final stuff he needed done in order to advance into the Fifth Realm.

Meanwhile

The former city lord recognized Margaret. This meant that the boy that they met was Rex. Upon seeing that, the former city lord wanted to talk to Margaret.

"Greetings, how is the lovely lady doing today?" The former city lord asked.

"You can stop the pleasantries, Aunt Yuuka. This is a matter of life and death for your sister." Margaret replied in a hushed tone.

"Oh geez. Cut the crap, we are both grown and have lovers in our life. Can you just be quiet about the bull crap and talk?" Yuuka said angrily.

"Fine. I am doing terrible now that you are alive. Care to ask something else?" Margaret asked.

"You girls were always like that. Always everything about Rex, even when others tried to help. You five would always shut everyone else out. So, do me a favor and try better to not allow yourselves to get stuck. Once you are, you will never recover." Yuuka replied in a heartbroken tone.

The tone that Yuuka used made Margaret truly wonder what had happened in the past ten years. Margaret felt a little regret for speaking so bad. That did not mean that she would not keep her word.

"Tell me, what actually happened over ten years ago in the lab." Margaret said.

"It started with a revelation on human DNA. We actually found a way to genetically make two of the same person.

Imagine, everyone in the world having twins and the experience from both keeps advancing both to make one grand person. No matter how long or how many tries it takes. Rex was supposed to be the first person. A major problem came across.

When the testing sample came in, the DNA had already been changed to support cultivation. That change was unknown to us.

We began to figure out why the DNA had mutated.

Even though Rex was almost nine, he had willing signed the papers to allow his blood to be drawn and used three times.

The blood inside the vials changed on the trip to the lab. When we compared the DNA when it was drawn again. There was a major difference.

First, the blood had already adapted to cultivate. We found that out with the help of the Big Three. Second, Rex's blood was naturally trying to stop him from cultivating.

When the final attempt came. I stopped and tried someone else's blood.

When he placed a fetus inside a birthing pod. The fetus began to change and make shape of the person. That should not have happened so suddenly. It should have accepted the blood and allowed it to transform over years not hours.

An emergency happened, someone found out about the research. No one knows who or why. I still keep in touch with everyone else who is alive. For matters unknown, a bomb was placed near each of the corners of the lab. Poisonous gad entered the air ducts and slowly entered the fetus, which was now a full grown male.

The person woke up and started to beat on the birthing pod. I shut down the power to the birthing pod. A primal instinct to survive made the male go berserk.

When the next button got pressed, several explosions came from the welcoming center. Several innocent people got hurt and a couple died upon the blast going off.

Lucky for us, we had a separate system to be able to get out. The male was nearing death and using his breath to write the words, "Death to each of you".

The male passed away. We all went our separate ways within the Nine Realms. Thanks to the Big Three. I made the town a workshop for studying cultivation.

The other eight have made similar cities in the Realms. One thing is certain, I still dream about the man writing those words. The eyes clear as day angered by the actions.

Margaret had a bad feeling about what was going to happen in the future. Her instincts became true, a week later the person trying to find clues about Yuuka would see her in Eden.
