Chapter 198 Moving up the coastline

Rex and the little fairies decided to move up the coastline. Lilith and the others would start the recovery of the people.

It was still night when Rex and the little fairies left. They wanted to explore the nearby cities.

Since a minute on Rex was not much. The little fairies happily set on their father's shoulders and head. The last one got to ride on the palms of Rex's hands.

A swift movement is all it took to reach the next city. Upon arriving there, Rex felt that someone or something was eyeing his fairy children.

He was not scared of it. He was scared of allowing children to roam free.

"I cannot allow any of you to fly freely. I am not sure what is here. Something is for sure eyeing each of you." Rex said.

They instinctly went into Rex's shirt. They held their heads out. They wanted to know what to look out for.

Rex began searching the city. It took nearly all day, and barely six families were alive. Rex decided to make the town his.

"System. How do I make the town mine?"

The fairies wanted to help their father. The fairies and Rex used their powers to move the entire town into a singular place. Once each building was connected, Rex made the town his.

He had searched from 4 am. to 6 pm. and it took an extra four hours to make the entire town his.

Since he now had a solid location to place people. He decided to relocate all the housing districts near the water.

This was to help unload the passengers that could not be in certain towns and would help relocate the ships to move outwards.

Placing the families inside new houses. The father and children began a trek to find whatever kept eyeing them.

No matter where Rex went. There was always a set of eyes on the fairies. Rex was getting anxious.

"No matter we will rest and move to the next town." Rex said.

The little fairies slept inside their father's shirt. The eyes that were watching Rex got angry.

"Whatever it is. I will not allow it to hurt my precious fairies." Rex had the determination and power to hold anything back.

He was unsure of what kept eyeing them. He barely got any sleep. He made sure to keep his focus on the eyes that were watching them.

The next morning came, and the five got into the shower. Rex felt the presence right out the bathroom. He wanted to smash the thing into pieces.

Just as he thought about it. The eyes went off. They were still focused on the fairies. Rex had grown tired of the game of cat and mouse. He was not going to be mouse in this game, and he had to get whoever or whatever out of reach of his children.

"I cannot allow just one to fly, but it would be better than allowing all of them to roam free." Rex thought.

He decided to make the conscience decision to allow one to fly. Whichever one did, they would have to fly within the grabbing range.

"When we arrive in the next large town. I will allow one of you to fly freely. You have to be within the grabbing range." Rex whispered.

The fairies huddled inside Rex's shirt. They began the debate of who would be the one to fly first.

Once the family was outside the house, a ship arrived, and Soni was the one on top of the ship.

"Is everything okay?" Soni called out.

"No." Rex thought.

"Yep. We just finished late, and are getting ready to move to the next town." Rex called out.

"What is wrong?" Soni thought.

"Okay. Make sure that everyone stays safe." Soni called out.

"The little ones are being targeted. I have to use one to be bait. I will not allow anything to harm her." Rex thought.

Their thoughts were able to be read by each other. Soni was angry. She was not willing to allow her children to be live bait.

"Why do you dare do that?" Soni was mad.

"That is the only way for me to catch this predator eyeing them. It always vanishes once it knows I know where it is." Rex thought.

"Be safe and keep everyone out of danger. If I hear that any danger fell to them. I will not allow them to spend any more time with you." Soni angrily started to set people inside the houses.

Rex and the little fairies kept moving forward. The city they reached was Tampa. This had Rex trying to find a way to keep the fairies safe. He darted to the closest road. He had to make sure that nothing could jump from the buildings. Once that happened, he made sure the only way to get to him or the fairies was behind or in front.

Rex found a good seating area and gently let one of the fairies go within arm reach.

A blur came in front of Rex. His reaction speed was slower than the blur's. He needed extra length to stop everything from turning bad.

He did not have it. A blessing was bestowed upon Rex.
