My Nerd Mate: I Won't Let Her Go

She breathed in and out, trying to savor some air, she uttered, "I wish I_" She paused and tried not to open her eyes to meet, her best friend, Fennick gaze because she knew she might have a change of heart. "I wish not to have a mate! I wish I had no mate! I wish I won't find my mate and I wish he doesn't find me either!" Aurora swore never to have a mate when her grandmother told her she will die just the same way her mother died because of her mate. Every year on her birthday, Aurora visits the spring to say her wish (I wish not to have a mate!)  When she turned twenty-one, she went to the spring as usual and this time, Sage, was passing by and he happened to be the mate she never wished for. He fell for her beauty knowing she was his mate but when he heard her wish, he left in bitterness. Why would Aurora die when she meets her mate? What happens when she finds out the person she took as a friend was her mate?  Note: This story contains a lot of fantasy and has a different cliche from a normal werewolf book. Wax Relationship

The news of Sage becoming the Alpha soon reached the entire pack from region to region. Fortunately, everyone agreed to the King's decision and waited for the reigning of their new King. The day of the coronation was finally announced and invitations had reached all regions including the neighbourhood pack. The Alphas have agreed to attend the most remarkable crowning of the new King of Lock Hearts pack.

Nevertheless, Sage kept going for training from the King, his father, and high courts as well as the top elders in the pack. Since he was a smart learner, he was quick to understand each thing he was taught.

It was late in the evening and he sat beneath a tree in the garden closer to the pack building reading an old book that contains the principles of being an Alpha and the power they possessed. He didn't like the idea of being an Alpha but reading the book makes him want to become an Alpha as soon as possible. The book taught about the power and authority Alpha possessed and he was moved.

Just then, he noticed someone was babbling into his thoughts to speak with him. He gave way and he heard Aurora's mind link him. "Done with training?" She asked.

"What are you up to, your heartbeat races a lot," Sage said, ignoring her questions.

"Oh, that!" She uttered. "I am on a run."

Sage heaved a sigh of relief even when he was not happy that she left for a run without him. "That's better."

"When will you be done?" She asked again and he answered her this time.

"Until I'm done reading and explaining a book to the King," he mumbled.

"You told me you want to visit my home, what about later in the day?"

"Yes," Sage answered. He had asked Aurora about him visiting her and Sora since the King had advised him to see Sora.

"See you soon," she said and cut off their mind link.

Sage nodded his head in agreement as though she could see him. He continued his book and was done with it, he packed the remaining book he had been reading and headed to the King's chamber. On his way, he met Rae who bowed in respect, making Sage go into shock. Why has Gamma bowed to him? He laughed and shook his head instantly when he grasped why Rae had bowed to him.

"You don't have to be formal, whereas you'll be my Beta," Sage said more like a reminder and Rae chuckled.

"Of course, Alpha Sage," Rae teased and they both ended up laughing at Rae's joke.

They started walking side by side to the King's chamber. "You're supposed to join me in training, Rae," Sage conceded.

Rae giggled again. "I don't have to join you since I'll be taking the orders from you."

Sage scoffed, "Whatever."

"How's your mate?" Rae inquired and Sage stopped on his track.

"How did you know that she's my mate?" He answered Rae's question with another question.

"Did I just spill that?"

"Yes you did and I don't know how you got it into your mouth," Sage mocked and followed after him.

"I guess I stole it from someone," Rae said and turned back to face Sage. He glances at him for some moments before veering back.

"What's wrong?" Sage asked but Rae didn't say anything not until they got to the entrance of the King's chamber.

"You have to keep her safe. Caren might come back," Rae warned, tapped Sage's shoulder playfully and turned to leave.

"Why_" Sage paused when he saw Rae wasn't going to give him a befitting answer.

"Mrs Horatio!" Aurora called her grandmother as soon as she and Sage entered her cottage. "Where are you?" She demanded but got no response as always. "I know you can hear me!" She yelled this time. She knew her grandmother could hear her even if she was sleeping. Hearing people talk in the dream was part of the powers Sora possessed as a wolf.

Aurora decided to let her be since she only wanted to introduce Sage to her as her official boyfriend.

Aurora hit Sage hard on his shoulder, "What are you doing?" She asked as Sage arched his eyebrows at her needing an explanation for her tap.

"Stand up!" She ordered and Sage did as told confusingly.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Everything's wrong since you didn't get my permission before you settled down," she bellowed.

Sage scoffed. "Meaning?"

"Meaning?"

"I don't need permission from you before I can make myself comfortable," he said as he took steps towards her.

Aurora laughed. "I caught you," she said and placed her hands on her hips. "I was only trying to tell you that you should see my room first," she mumbled, earning a 'Are you okay?' look from Sage.'

Aurora smirked at him, grabbed his hand and began to drag him up the stairs leading to her room. She opened the door and as soon as they got in, Sage jammed the door closed and gripped her hand tight, hauling her closer to him.

"I'm going to punish you," he growled as he bent his head below her neck, pushing her hair backwards.

"I would love you to do that," Aurora giggled when his tongue trailed her neck to her collarbone. "You're a bad boy!"

"You don't like it," Sage muttered, pecking her exposed neck.

Aurora tilted her head backwards to her arousal and moaned. "I love it."

"Good," Sage said and jerked her away from him, making her stagger to the back.

"Sage!" She growled, maintaining her stance. "You're a jerk!" She cursed.

"You started at first. I_," he paused and shut his eyes when someone tried to talk to him, through mind linking.

"Where are you?"

"Why do you want?!" he snapped when he heard Rae's voice.

"Give me an answer!" Rae snapped back.

"With Aurora," Sage mumbled and moved to Aurora who was watching him knowing what he was doing. He carried her up in a bridal style while she wiggled in his arms.

"Good. We need you two down here as soon as possible," Rae conveyed and Sage groaned at him. When he was starting to have a good time with his girlfriend, Rae was going to ruin it.

"Where are you?" He asked Rae, still having Aurora in his arms, he moved closer to her bed.

"At the slave's dungeon, the mills," Rae revealed but when he got no answer, he asked, "Are you there?"

Sage placed Aurora on her bed and climbed onto her as she wrapped her hands around his neck.

"Sage?"

"We'll be there in a few minutes," he proclaimed and shut his mind. He looked down at Aurora who was having a cute smile on her face.

"We need to go," he announced and took her lips, savouring her for a few seconds and pulled away. "We'll return to this when we get back."
