The Luna's Teacher

Sage called a meeting and his associates were present to listen to him. They all bowed to greet their Alpha and Luna when they entered the hall.

Sage told them to take their seat while he sat down on his throne with Aurora looking all gorgeous and sitting beside him. She had asked him the other night about what he had discovered from his trip and he had told her to join him in their meeting so she could listen to every detail he had gotten from his journey.

Sage went on to explain how they got to know about the three combat skills and Aurora was questioned on how she knew about the skills that she was able to teach the pack fighters.

"I also heard that there are three skills. All I gotta do is learn the skill from my assistant and teach the fighters," she told them.

"Your assistant?" Sage queried.

"Yes, my best friend, Fennick," she answered, plainly trying not to share Sage her scornful look in front of his associates.

Sage mouthed, "Oh, I see. So you mean Fennick taught you about it?"

"Yes, most times when he goes out to another pack, he comes back learning new skills and he will teach me how everything works. That's how I was also able to teach the pack fighters," Aurora disclosed.

"We need to summon Fennick here, I hope he's still in the pack?"

Aurora told them to hold on for some minutes while she tried to reach out to him through the mind link. She did and he confirmed that he was still in the pack. Aurora then told him to hurry to the pack hall where the Alpha was asking for him. At first, Fennick refused but then he agreed when Aurora pleaded with him to show up.

While their conversation was going on, Sage was discussing with his others. Some while later, the giant hall door was flung open and Fennick walked in with his gaze landing straight at Aurora who gave him one of her sweet smiles and he returned it with his. He strode to the altar in front of the throne and paid his respect to the Alpha.

After Sage received his greetings, he spoke up, "Thank you for answering my request as soon as possible. I hope Luna had told you while I requested for you?"

Fennick arched his eyebrows at Aurora and returned his gaze to the Alpha, he shook his head, "No, she didn't. I thought she called me because you needed my presence, I don't know if there's something else to it," he told Sage.

"There's no need if she didn't inform you and of course, I will. She told us how you've been teaching her the combat skills and I called you to know where you learn these skills from."

"Well, as she knew that I've been visiting packs and as usual, I learn skills from the packs I visit. Not only me though, but some fighters also join me but since some skills are too hard to learn, they find it difficult to grasp it at first but I am gifted to do that," Fennick uttered and smirked proudly at his words.

"That means you've got a rare talent. Can you please discuss with us these skills and which pack you've got to learn each from?" Sage inquired.

Fennick bowed his head, "Thank you for giving me the opportunity," he said. "There are three types of combat skills which are the standard, premium, and golden skills. It's a newly created skill that's why the pack had not heard of it before. Also, I try to introduce it to the pack through the leader of the pack fighters. I have learned all skills but I am good with the golden skills because I have learned the highest skill in it," Fennick relayed and Sage continued to confirm his word with a nod of his head.

Sage expected more from Fennick but when he saw he didn't utter another word, he concluded he was done with his statement. "You've done great work in helping the pack discover the skills but can you remember which pack you've learned the golden skills from?"

"Sure. I learned the golden skill from our neighborhood pack which is the Autumn pack," Fennick answered.

Sage gave his Beta a side glance and returned it to Fennick. "You mean Authum pack practice the golden skill openly?" he requested and Fennick nodded in agreement. "Too absurd," Sage stated, referring to Rae. "You should know that we had an assassin's attack, did you have any suspects?"

"The Autumn will surely have no hand in this since the assassins also attack different packs," Sage said just like they had thought. "I don't have any suspect yet though I've not seen what the assassins look like and the type of skills they make use of," Fennick told the Alpha.

"They use the highest skill," Rae disclosed to him.

"Really? Wow… Those assassins will be so powerful. The highest golden skill is the mastery one can use to defeat a war."

"You will do me a favor, Fennick. I need you to visit the Autumn pack with some fighters and do some investigation on them. Try to know the number of people that are very good in the golden skill, then, find out if those shifters also have this badge with them," Sage instructed and pulled out the badge tied on his trouser. He threw it to Fennick who was quick to catch it. "Trace those shifters and give an account of their daily activities."

Fennick looked at the badge and uttered, "I'll do as said," he promised and tugged the badge into his pants, bowing before Sage.

Sage turned to all of them, "This is settled out for now and an investigation will be taken as from tomorrow in the pack to know if there is anyone in the pack helping out with the assassins or if they are the assassins themselves," he told them and they answered in agreement. Sage ended his meeting and took Aurora's hand as they walked out of the hall.
