The Hunt

Jody got up before dawn. When she looked at him, Zev was still asleep. She smiled at him and carefully took his arm off of her. Jody went to the bathroom right away to take a shower. When she left the bathroom and saw that Zev was still asleep, she went straight to her friend's room. Jody didn't try anymore because they locked the door. She went straight to the stairs and found Loel putting the gifts away. She assumed he was busy and didn't see her, so she smiled.

"Hey!"

Loel was surprised by how quickly Jody spoke, so he turned around immediately. He couldn't believe how excited Jody was to surprise him. Jody sat beside him and held the presents. Loel took them right away and kept them from Jody.

"I'll just look at the gifts I'm not going to open," Jody said.

"It's no good to open it before Christmas," Loel said.

Jody smiled. "Hmm, do I have one?"

Loel smiled. "Of course!"

"Wow! Thanks!" Jody said, smiling.
