10 A Warm Body(18+)

With that decided I headed straight for the guestroom and unlocked it from the outside. Waiting right by the door were the twins, far less upset about their predicament than last night. Looking past them, I saw the advisor sitting upright on the couch with a nasty look on his face.

"Thank you," said Mercy, the brunette twin as she passed me.

"We thought it through and well, that demon girl was right, living here would be better than selling our bodies out there," planting a brief kiss on my cheek, the redhead, Claire joined her sister as she walked down the hallway.

"Done eyeing them, you runt?" The hoarse voice of Genji brought my head back on my shoulders.

Stopping by the door, I glanced back at him from over my shoulder to sprinkle one last bit of salt on his injuries.

"And thanks for bringing those girls to me," wearing a smirk, I was on the verge of laughing. "I'll take good care of them in your place. Especially since you can't do anything with them anymore."

Even through my peripherals, I could see his head fuming. 

"Goodbye now, and if you need anything, get it yourself you pig," with that I left the geezer alone and made my way to check on the girls.

Since today there was nobody for us to take care of, I'd decided to cut the workday short and take a calming dip in the bathhouse. And of course, since the twins already had a plan to go there, we decided to have them join us as well.

With how everything was going, things were looking up. We'd already got a pawn like Genji in the inner workings of the embassy, but before making any moves, I wanted to make sure all bases were covered to not put any of us in danger. But before that, it was time to relax for once, relax with the people that with each day I was more and more inclined to call family.
