A Spell Of Chastity

Once the spell was dashed onto the meal, it was quickly served to the old bastard by Cinder. He wolfed it down much like everything else, and in the meantime, Senya took the twin's meal to their room as well. As it all happened, I was sitting alone in the hotel's theater glaring at the blank screen with nothing at all playing.

In my mind, however, I was plagued by haunting memories. The memories of a past I've been trying to avoid through this job, however, the longer I stayed around these girls, the more I felt like confronting it.

'I need to close that chapter before starting something new…' Leaning back into the chair, I closed my eyes and stretched my legs forward to get a little more comfortable. Drifting back in time, I severed all ties with my present worries.

For a while, I only saw the dark, but then a door opened. Revealed behind it were screams of children, burning bodies, and the chuckles of monsters clad in human skin. Their mouths continuously widened as they laughed at the children, many of whom were the only family I ever knew.

The orphanage was burned, and the load of work on the so-called nuns was lifted drastically as well. Yet the horror didn't end. As time passed, the true nature of the place unveiled itself. Picked one after the others, the young boys were taken by slave laborers while the young girls were hurled somewhere far more horrifying.

In the end, few of us remained. However, by then, I had no one to call a friend much less family. Signing up for a job was my only way to escape, and so I did. Even so, the few days of adulthood that I was forced to live there were nothing short of torture. The robed women showed their true nature, they attempted to woo me with words, but when it all failed, they bound me with chains much like they did to the children.

The only reason I hadn't been sold to the slave drivers yet was because of my obedience, but now that I had rebelled, there was no way I could return there ever again.

"I'll burn that place myself, but this time it won't be the children that would burn with it," muttering to myself, I open my eyes to greet the present.

As my eyes once again adjusted to the darkness in the theater, I noticed someone standing near the curtain at the very front. Focusing my vision on them, I watched them turn around. Her eyes glowing violet in the dark gave away who it was.

"Senya?" I called out.

"What?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"What are you doing here?" Upon hearing my question, she spanned her bat-like wings wide and flew right over to me.

"I can ask you the same question," folding her hands, she stared at me before speaking further. "But I guess I'll give you an answer."

Letting her hands fall to the sides, she lowered the seat beside me and settled down on it. Arching forward, her elbows rested on her knees while her hands supported her head as she kept staring at me sideways.

"I sensed…Demons so I came," the words came to me as a shock, but she quickly clarified before I indulged the confusion. "And not the demon as in my people, but the more metaphysical kind. Regret, anger, guilt, anything that haunts you, I can sense it from miles apart, that's what us demons feed on."

"The negative aspects of life?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Although it renders the person weaker," taking a deep breath, she leaned back into her chair with her hands stretching backward. "It breaks them more and more with time until eventually comes a bridge between letting it go or letting go."

"Suicide?" I asked again, but this time she gave no answer.

Sinking into the chair as well, I feigned a smile and looked at her.

"If you were worried about me, then let me assure you I won't do it," reaching out to her, I patted her on the shoulder.

"Hell isn't a pretty place, so you better keep your promise," her reply, was it sweet or melancholic? I couldn't tell.

"Here you are!" Cinder's voice called out to us from the back all of a sudden. Looking at the entrance I saw her gesturing us to follow her outside. "Come quick! The plan worked!"

'Great…Now comes the hard part.' Making my way out of there with Senya in tow, I headed straight for the guest's room. Even from afar, I could hear him howling at the top of his lungs, but the intoxication in his voice muffled most words in his mouth.

By the time I arrived he was lying on the floor absolutely hammered out of his mind. The twins were gathered beside him with only towels wrapped around them.

"I suppose the night didn't go the way you expected?" I asked the drunken man with a mocking smirk plastered across my face.

Grinding his teeth, he glared at me as if he wanted to drill holes in my body through vision alone.

"What did you do to me?!" He yelled out loud.

"And what exactly has happened to you?" As I mocked him further, Rin and Maiko emerged from deeper inside the room. Giving them a nod, I had them take the girls back into the bedroom.

Looking back down at the drunk, I could no longer hold the urge to kick his teeth out.

"For murder of who knows how many?" Smashing his nose in with a single kick, I had him rolling on the floor. Holding my hands toward Senya and Cinder, I pulled them forward to take out their anger on him as well.

The demoness was the first to act as she slapped the old drunk with her heart-tipped tail. Building up her own courage, Cinder moved her hand across his body to shower glistering dust of flames.

"AHHHHH! ST-STOP IT!" He screamed, flailing around the floor like a fish out of water.

Getting down on my knees, I grabbed him by the face and forced him to look at me. He kept screaming for a few more seconds before I slapped him a few times with the back of my other hand.

"Don't worry, Master," seeing the fear in his shaky eyes, made me wanna laugh. "We're not gonna kill you, but just like that now useless dick of yours, I'm gonna make sure you'd be useless to the embassy."

Watching the horror settling in his heart, made me wonder just how many families he'd ruined when they pleaded to him with the same grim look.

"Glory to Humankind advisor, ahaha!" Rubbing it in, smashed his head against the tiled floor.
