Chapter 25: Trip

We had two more days of vacation and we spent them with the family and explored the forest. Jackson seemed to forget about the surging power between us and hadn't made a move towards me other than cuddling. I didn't mind at first, but as the days went on he seemed to be pulling away.

We drove home with Archer and Nash in the backseat talking about the pros and cons of living at the beach, school, and a girl who seemed to have caught both of their eyes. Jackson could have driven his motorcycle, but chose to hook it up in the back of my Gladiator trunk. As I drove he peered out the window and I was determined to not let his actions bother me.

When we pulled up my cousins took off and Jackson untied his motorcycle and picked it up placing in next to me.

"I have an idea, let's go to Ireland and see what my folks say about this, about us." He looked down the street and back at me. "If it will make you relax more, I'm in." He nodded and straddled his bike. "Pack and I'll get the tickets." He drove off speeding down the street as I grabbed my bag and headed inside.

"He is still flustered huh?" Dad said as I came into the living room. I nodded and emptied my dirty clothes into the washer. "He's on edge and quiet. I'm really not sure where his head is at." My phone buzzed and I pulled it out to see Paco's number run across the screen. "Hey Paco." He shusshed me. "Don't go with him. It will be dangerous and if you must. Stop by my store." He hung up before I could say anything.

I packed my bag for Ireland and walked down the sandy beach towards Paco's. His shop was closed. The bright store seeming dark, and less friendly than it's normal cherry self. I climbed the steps and Paco.opeend the door and shut it quickly behind him. He tossed two sacks at me. "Keep them on you at all times." I opened one to see a black crystal. "Tourmaline. It helps trap negative energy." I tied it around my neck and opened the second one. "Ring of Sol, protects you in the darkest places." I slid the dark stoned ring onto my finger.

"Trust no one. Not even your wolf in Ireland. There's a lot to loose on this trip." I nodded and for the firdt time very unsure of what he meant. "Paco why is he taking me there?" Paco smirked and tilted his head. "He wants to talk with his mother, a witch from the Ireland forest. He is afraid his chaos has entered you and possibly stolen some of his power."

I huffed and closed my eyes feeling the pressure of this situation. Going to another country, in another Alpha King's territory. "This is gonna suck." I let out as Paco tapped my cheeks. "Yes, but don't give in or give up. Fight with your strength." I gave Paco a hug, and he ushered me to the door. "Hurry he is going to be st the house any minute. Go!" I embraced him one more time and said thank you as I ran out his door and down the beach to see Jackson holding two tickets. "Tomorrow 5 a.m. we have a flight."

He held out a ticket and I took it careful not to touch his hand. "Paisley it will be different there. There are ruled we have to follow. I have to be more reserved, more statuesque. Meaner then I am here." I nodded understanding he didn't want to appear weak. "Just follow my lead okay?" Again I nodded, and careful not to promise anything as I headed inside. Jackson didn't follow me or come back to the house that night.

The next morning I readied the truck and said goodbye to my parents as my Dad gave me a warning with his eyes. "Something doesn't feel right." My Mom said as she hugged me. "I know I feel it too." She clasped my arm. "Come home as soon as it feels weird. She slipped me an open ended ticket and I quickly put it into another pocket. "Love you guys." They nodded and a knock sounded at the door.

Jackson stood on my porch wearing a nice pair of black slacks and a button down white shirt. His normal boots swapped out for dress shoes. Jackson's hair slicked back in a serious way he held out his hand. "Ready?" I nodded and glanced back at my parents one last time. The drive to the airport was in a limousine, not my truck. He played on a phone and seemed to be texting someone in a furious manner.

The driver eyed us through the rear view mirror, and I could understand why. Here sat a man looking like he stepped out of a business magazine, and I looked like a surfer girl. Torn jeans, new feathers of green with black bottoms, white ones, and my favorite burnt orange one. A grey sweater wrapped around my waist, and a teal tank top.

We exited the limo and walked into a side entrance. I grabbed my bag, as Jackson took it and tossed it back in the trunk. "We let others do that sort of thing." He said as he moved back to the sidewalk and thendriver unloaded my bag. "Jackson I dont know if I can do this." I mind linked, but he didn't slow down or andwer me as he moved across the sidewalk. I quickly followed behind him as a security officer held me back. "She's with me." Jackson clipped and he immediately released my arm. "Sorry miss." The tall security man said and I nodded hurrying behind Jackson. We walked up the plane steps.

A stewardess stood at the top and greeted us. Jackson said nothing as he pushed by her and found a seat at a table. I entered and apologized to her for his rude behavior. I turned to see white leather seats and a luxurious interior. Four seats around a table on the left side. On the right two seats and a white leather sofa. In the back was a small bar area and a hallway that seemed to lead to nowhere and a door for the restroom. which was clearly labeled on the door. I walked on and took a seat buckling myself in on the far side by a window.

The stewardesses introduced herself as Ginny and her red hair was tucked into a bun. She wore a navy pencil skirt, black shoes and a white button up adjorned with a black ribbon tie. I said hello and told her my name was Paisley as Jackson ignored us. As we talked Jackson yelled. "Let's go Damien!"

A voice answered back. "Yes your Royal Higness." The door closed and Ginny sat beside me buckling herself in. The plane started and took off the runway. Having never flown before I started to panic. Gunny turned and touched my arm. "Relax it will level out soon. Damien is a very good pilot." I nodded and when we leveled oit she quickly ran to the back. Ginny returned with a ginger water and handed it to me before handing Jackson a glass with amber colored liquid inside. "Thank you Ms. Ginny." I said and she sent me a small smile.

He was quiet and looked up from his phone to swi the glass before downing it. The whole trip he sat in the seat and I moved to the couch watching him nervously down drink after drink. I must have fallen asleep, because I woke up in a dark room. I sat up and felt around a soft bed. I peeled off the down comforter and felt the walls for a door. I found a handle and pulled it releasing the door and slid it open allowing light to illuminate the room behind me. I made the bed and walled out to see Jackson in the same spot.

I walled out and took a seat to see a small island. "Told you that pill would work Ginny." Jackson said as he downed his glass and handed her it empty. "What pill?" She glanced st me with a sad expression. "You drugged me?" Jackson shrugged as the pilot made an announcement that we where on the desend. "Why would you do that?" He ignored me so I stood up and tossed his phone across the room. "What happened to you?" His eyes shined gold and he stood up and grabbed me pushing me down into a chair and buckled me in. "Nothing happened. I am being the Prince." His eyes flashed as he picked up the phone and analyzed it.

He slid it into his pocket and took his seat just as the plane seemed to tip downward. He mind linked me. "I told you there where rules I had to follow. One is that no outsiders know where we are, and one is acting this way." I didn't turn and I shut the connection between us. He pulled on it, but I held firm. I glared at Ginny who had the galls to sit next to me. She looked over and I knew she felt bad, she whispererd in a sound barely audible to my wolf hearing. "Don't trust the staff, smell before you eat or drink. The King is ruthless of he doesn't like you or you waist his time." I nodded and she sat back.

This was a hell of a trip already, and I hadn't stepped off the plane yet. I went to exit the plane, but Jackson called my name. I turned to see him walk to the back of the plane. "Come on Paisley they hate to wait." I walked to the bedroom and watched as Jackson opened a closet and pulled out heels and a dress. "Change and meet me in the limo." He walked out and left me holding a forest green dress and matching shoes. "This is crazy I said as I dressed and folded my clothes and carried them out to the limo. Jackson grabbed my clothes and tossed them into my bag. He handed me a phone and he pulled the feathered clips from my hair.

"No stop." Jackson's eyes flashed and he tried to pull them out. "Jackson stop. I am not willing to change myself for them." He shook his head. "You don't understand." He said as the limo took off out of the small airport. "I don't because you won't tell me anything. You drugged me and shoved me in a room to play dress up." He huffed and held the two feathers he managed to unhook. "Take them out, as my mate there are certain standards you have to meet or he will obsolvd our bond."

"Then why did you bring me here?" I asked as he toyed with them. "Because it was needed." I scoffed and leaned away from him for the first time. "This isn't the eighteen hundreds women wear pants, they have their own style. This is not me." I gestured to the tight form fitting dress. "I know." He said with no emotion. "Take them out." I shook my head and he tossed me the jeans. "Then go as you, and we will see how it goes." I tossed the dress over my head and put back on my clothes.

Jackson shut a window between me and the driver, who was actively looking at me through the mirror. "Mind your eyes Finn." He clipped as the driver returned to looking at the road. He didn't look at me as we pulled up to a large iron fence. The car moved slower as it approached a large castle.
