Chapter 8 lovely female

"Hey, Mom, can I borrow some of your clothes for Kyra?" Lucas asked his mom.

"Lucas, haven't I always told you to be prepared? Every male knows they need to have clothes ready for their mates. But look at you... you're as clueless as a goldfish!" Gina, Lucas mom, started ranting in an overly dramatic tone.

Black lines on Lucas face. "Mom!" he shouted, trying to interrupt her.

But she just kept going, oblivious to his protests.

"MOM!" Lucas shouted even louder, desperate to get her attention.

"Cub, now you're shouting at your own mother!" Gina started crying dramatically "woooo... woooo"

"Mom, stop crying! Don't make a scene! It's embarrassing! At least think about my image in front of Kyra," Lucas pleaded.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Gina let out an even louder wail, causing everyone around to cover their ears. Now they understood where Lucas got his singing skills from.

"Mom, you always told me that with my brains, I'd never find a mate. But who knows... maybe I'm the favorite of the Beast God after all! And got kyra" Lucas declared loudly, causing Gina to stop crying, with snot running down her nose.

"Really?" she sniffled, looking at Lucas with surprise.

Lucas nodded vigorously. "Absolutely!"

"Fine then, Cub. I'll send the clothes to you myself, with one of Daddy's hands," Gina agreed, finally relenting.

"Mom, you're so kind," Lucas said, laying on the flattery.

"I know, my dear Cub," Gina replied, hugging her son tightly. They both embraced each other emotionally

"Wait, is she Lucas mate?" Sally whispered to Gia and their other female friends, who had beaten up Lucas earlier.

"Yeah, she's pretty, right?" Gia remarked.

"Look at her long red hair and hazel eyes. She looks like an angel," Sally commented.

"I feel sorry for her. Why would she want to mate with Lucas?" one of the other girls chimed in.

"I say we take revenge on Lucas!" Sally declared, whispering a devious plan to the others.

"Thank you," Kyra smiled at Lucas, touched by his gesture of asking his mom for clothes for her.

"No need to thank me," Lucas blushed, feeling her eyes on him. Of course, he could only be shy in front of her.

But their sweet moment was interrupted by a familiar voice calling out, "Lucas."

Lucas turned to see Sally, the evil female, and her group approaching, and he gave them a stink-eye.

"Is beating me up not enough for you?" he asked sarcastically, while Kyra noticed the dark circles under his eyes and started feeling sorry for him.

"You know why we beat you up, right?" Gia spoke, with a self-righteous tone.

Lucas panicked and looked at Kyra, who was now staring at them with her big, beautiful hazel eyes.

"Listen, Kyra... Actually, Lucas..." Sally suddenly began, trying to get Kyra's attention.

"Huh?" Kyra looked at her. Sally suddenly desire to pinch her soft pink cheeks. She thought, 'What the heck did that jerk Lucas do to deserve this karma and end up with such a lovely female'

"He promised to mate with me! But then I found out from my friend that he promised the same thing to her, and not just her, but our whole group of friends!" Sally declared dramatically.

"The whole group of females?" Lucas' mom, Gina, exclaimed, crying out, "I know you're desperate, but you don't have to ask every female for a mate!"

"Mom!" Lucas was furious.

"What?" Gina shrugged. "I mean, it would be embarrassing if the whole group of females rejected you, wouldn't it?"

"Mom!" Lucas stomped his feet in frustration.

"I-I mean... what if all the females actually accepted you?" Gina quickly corrected herself.

"But I never promised them anything! I only have eyes for my Kyra!" Lucas shouted, defending himself.
