Kyra smiled warmly in return. "That's the goal. With enough preparation, we won't be caught off guard."
The beastmen exchanged glances, their expressions lighter now, even slightly more at ease. "We take our leave now, female," the silver-haired one said, giving her a small smile. The others nodded in agreement.
Kyra stood up to see them off, offering a polite nod. "I'll see you all out."
But the beastmen raised their hands in protest, shaking their heads. "No need, female," the black-haired beastman said with a grin, his blue eyes twinkling with humor. "You've already done more than enough. We'll find our way. Besides, wouldn't want your mate to feel... protective," he added with a teasing smirk, clearly referring to the tension in the room.
