14: My Act Is Too Good

Leo's face paled. His wife denied his past relationship with him.

"Mister, I request that you go out of my unit or else I will be forced to get you out of here", Raiver said sternly.

Leo who is in a state of shock, couldn't process what Raiver have said. He couldn't make the decision on the spot!

"Mister?", Leo snapped out of his trance and look at his wife's gentle face.

It is obviously that Raiver wanted to throw him out of the room. After all, Leo is a stranger and they did not know each other.

This could be called trespassing!

However, Raiver still wanted to be kind and asks the stranger named 'Leo Gruigel' to get out of the unit quietly.

Leo bit his lower lip and looked at Raiver's eyes with resolve.

"Can-can we have a talk?", said Leo with hopeful gazed in his eyes.

"Why would Mister Gruigel want a conversation with me?", Raiver tilted his head in confusion.

"Because I am the father of your child"

This statement surprised Raiver. Raiver looked at Leo's face. Because of this, Raiver's face came closer towards Leo.

This move made Leo blush. But he didn't back down. He needed to get his wife's time to talk to and convince him to go home with him together with their child.

Indeed, this man in front of Raiver looked very much alike his son. It is like a mini-me of Leo. This made Raiver to tear up and slapped Leo's face.

Leo got stunned of this face slap.

It is obviously his first time getting slapped in the face!

No one has ever done this deed to him.

Not even when Raiver and Leo were still married!

Leo gritted his teeth. It's his fault why his wife is like this. He needs to endure it.

"You said you will take responsibility for this! But you ran away! Even though I am an orphan, I thought that you would be different than the others! I hate you!", Raiver keep on throwing light punches unto Leo's chest.

Raiver is breaking down. All the pain that he kept just to stay strong for his child bursts in front of Leo. Raiver slid down to the floor while weeping. He covered his face.

Seeing his wife's state made Leo's heart throb with ache. His heart feels like smashed by a wrecking ball. His guilt kept on hammering his head. It's eating him alive.

He can't bear to see his love of his life crying his heart on the floor.

Enough please dear God!

'I don't want to see Raiver suffer anymore please!', Leo cried.

He sat on the floor and hugged Raiver. Raiver accepted Leo's arms around him and cried harder. Crying his eyes out.

They stayed in that position for minutes before they calmed down from all the crying.

Leo gently wipes Raiver's wet eyes with his handkerchief. On the other hand, Raiver leaned on Leo's shoulder.

He is tired from crying like a baby. Both remained silent. Enjoying the warmth of each other.

"I hate you, you know?"

"I know and I'm sorry"

"I was in my heat period. I didn't get a chance to hear your name that night. All I can think of is to ease my heat. But you came and… and all you left is your number", Raiver narrated.

This made Leo to go in confused state.

Didn't he and Raiver a married couple before their divorced?

They created their own son before their divorce if he is not mistaken. According to the record of the hospital, Raiver is two months pregnant when they got divorced.

So how come that Raiver can't remember any of this? Raiver's memory is kinda different from his.

"I tried calling you after I discovered that I am pregnant. But you said you will take responsibility, so I waited. I waited for you to come and get me! Then I heard you're getting married?! I HATE YOU!!!", Raiver started to shed tears again.

Leo could only rub his back while listening. He already contacted his secretary to bring in the news to his family.

He also ordered to fix the issues regarding the red lights that he passed through.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry"

"You should be! You left a gorgeous omega in the air only to get married to a snake! I'll never forgive you!", Raiver tightened his embrace unto Leo.

Leo didn't know how to respond but to hug his dear wife back. Having no clue as to why Raiver is spouting nonsense, Leo just go ahead and went with the flow.

'If it means to be able to take his wife with him, I will just go on with this and figure out things later', Leo console to himself.

"I know I'm a jerk for leaving someone as hot as you. I'm an idiot. Please, I'm sorry. I did cancel it just for you"

"But still, God knows when you two have s*x or kissed. I hate you for touching him. For whispering sweet words to him. It should've have been me not him", Raiver pouted.

This brought a smile from Leo's face. The atmosphere between the two became much lighter than before.

"I've got nothing to say but sorry my dear. Please forgive me"

Since Leo had his chin on top of Raiver's head, he naturally couldn't see what Raiver's face is making.

Raiver with his devil smile, pretended to be so hurt. Gosh, bawling his eyes out for this act hurts his tear glands. If one would to see Raiver right now, one would say that he is a fine actor alright!

'Heh! You want my apology? Let's try and make you crawl out for my heart you damn b*stard!'

Raiver trembled from the wind that passed by his units' terrace. Leo used his body to block the cold breeze from that is blowing from the terrace to make sure that his wife stays warmed.

"Do you know how hard it is to raise a baby? People keep saying that it is not my own. That I kidnapped the baby", Raiver continued his act.

Why not go beyond the story that he had made up? Since he already planned on acting the 'losing the memory act' of his, it would be better to add some spice to it.

Make it more dramatic, so that the doctor's findings will make his condition much worse in the Gruigel's eyes.

Make them suffer more from their guilt.

'I'm so bored anyways. Might as well go extreme. I just wished I could remember what I've just said to him or I'm screwed'

Leo didn't know what to say. People will definitely doubt Raiver for having a baby that have the characteristics of a Gruigel.

But that is not the issue now. Now that Raiver have calmed down, he needs to convince Raiver of taking him with him and their child.

"I'm really sorry my dear. Can you give me another chance?", Raiver pushed Leo a little so he could look at his eyes.

The seriousness in Leo's eyes made Raiver gulped. It was this easy to manipulate him into taking him to his house? No wonder, that snake was able to brain wash this invincible tyrant they say.

"If…if I somehow gave you another chance, I'm scared that your family and the society will not like me. After all, I am an orphan with no stable job and have no money. They will think of me as a sl*t", Raiver's eyes is filled with worries.

He can endure it if he is to be the subject of persecution in the high society. But what about his son?

He can't endure it if they started to say rubbish about his precious one.

Leo grabbed Raiver's chin to look at his eyes. Determination filled Leo's eyes.

"I will not let them have a say about you. And don't worry about money, I can give you how much you want, even my entire share in the family business. Also, don't worry about my family not liking you. They are eager to see you especially our son", Leo reassured his little wife.

'Now that's what I'm talking about! Give me money! I think I've met my sugar daddy'

Raiver is currently jumping his butt in his mind. If it is this easy to manipulate Leo Gruigel then Raiver would really want to smack the back if his clone's head.

His clone is too unemotionally available, a pushover and is too kind for his own good.

He didn't even use his fragile looking body to get the people's sympathy and his ex-husband's affection back. His clone is too scared to fight back.

But now that Kallen is occupying Raiver's place, he will make sure to train this idiot to be a loyal fan of his. Maybe turning him into an obsessive one will be nice. So that he will not be swayed by those words of gold diggers and b*tches.

Seeing the hesitation of Raiver, Leo firmly held his wife's body on his. He smiled and kissed Raiver's forehead.

"What about our son?"

"Of course, he will be with us"

Raiver bit his lip before nodding.

Receiving Raiver's approval, Leo's heart jumped out of his chest and dances.
