65. Can I have your autograph, please??!!

# Sorry guys for not posting any chapters for a while.. My tab was not properly working and so I couldn't write any new chapters.... I'll try posting regularly from today....

Lara quickly jogged towards the door and opened it.

" HELLO!!", a group of people wished her just as she opened the door.

Lara smiled seeing all her colleagues stand in front of her door, each holding a small gift.

" Hello!! Come in..", she waved happily and said with a smile. All of them walked in one after another.

While walking in, all of them except Miles, were looking at her house in awe.

The previous night when they received Lara's address, they were all shocked. She lived in a house in Maple Street.

Maple Street was one of the few areas in the country where the elite families settled. Getting a house in such a posh area would take quite some effort and required an enormous bank balance.

This further deepened their suspicions about Lara's identity.

" Your house is so beautiful…", Sarah commented while looking around in awe just like the others.

" Thank you", Lara responded to Sarah's comment with a smile.

While others were busy admiring the house, our Mr. Miles was busy admiring a certain someone.

Miles couldn't tear his eyes away from Maria. She was wearing a simple black satin body hugging dress that reached down till her knees.

Even Lara was dressed in a style similar to Maria. She was wearing a black jumpsuit with spaghetti straps that hugged her body at the right places, accentuating her perfect curves.

Both of them were wearing the same jewellery. A simple white pearl necklace and pearl studs paired with a pearl bracelet.

Their attire was simple and casual, yet elegant. Outfits that anyone could wear to a friendly gathering.

Miles was just staring at Maria while the others were busy with the house which he had already seen and stayed a night in.

" No way…!!" George suddenly commented in a tone of utter disbelief before jogging towards the wall filled with photos.

Everyone's attention naturally shifted to where George was looking excitedly.

" You are the daughter of the legendary scientists, Leo Wright and Luna Banks!!!", he yelled in a tone filled with excitement and anticipation.

" He is a bit of a science maniac", Sarah, who was standing beside a confused Lara, whispered into her ear.

Lara was very startled seeing George's reaction. She had known that there were a lot of people who admired and respected her parents and their work, but she had never seen or heard of a fan like George who was reacting as if her parents were Top Tier Hollywood celebrities.

" Yes, I am their daughter.", Lara replied to George's statement.

" Oh my god!! Oh my god!! Can I have your autograph, please??!!", he squealed with pleading eyes.

" Umm… You like my parent's work, then why my autograph??", she asked George with a complicated expression on her face. Somehow, it didn't make sense to her in whichever way she thought about it.

' Why does he want my autograph??', she thought in confusion.

" I know. I know…. But you are their child. Meaning, both of their coolness and awesomeness is a part of you… Their blood flows through your veins… Sorry I mean DNA", he immediately countered.

" And these hands… These holy hands… They are definitely a creation of those gods!!", he stated while looking at her hands as if they were made out of diamonds and sapphires.

Now Lara seriously wanted to ask him if he had lost all his bearings. If she had known that this was the reaction she was going to receive on revealing her identity, she would have never done that.

Seeing that the situation was becoming very awkward, Miles stepped forward.

" Get your bearings together George. You are making our host uncomfortable.", Miles said while giving George a smack on his forehead.

George immediately snapped out of his trance and looked at Lara apologetically." I am sorry Lara.. I just… I was just very shocked and overwhelmed on suddenly finding out that you are the daughter of my idols…

So sorry for making it very awkward….", he apologized while scratching the back of his head with a sheepish smile.

" It's okay", Lara replied with a chuckle.

She was repeatedly praising Miles in her heart for if it hadn't been for his timely intervention, the situation would have become extremely awkward.

Meanwhile, Miles signed in relief. Crisis averted. If Liam would have seen the way George was looking at Lara's hands, he was sure that Liam would have killed George by now.

Suddenly, something dawned upon Sarah and realization hit her very hardly.
