Wenjay, a Chinese-American of mixed heritage, finds himself jobless and heartbroken. In a bid to stay in China, he enters a sham marriage with Mingyoo. Wenjay, previously a kindergarten teacher and now a writer of heartwarming yuri novels, has a knack for cooking, but he particularly loves the noodles Mingyoo makes. Mingyoo, however, is part of an organization investigating 'super brains'. When Wenjay stumbles upon a dark secret about Mingyoo's sister...
Mingyoo seemed a bit displeased with the nickname "JayJay" and frowned, asking Wenjay, "Who is he? Do you know him?"
"He's Leo Jow, the firefighter who saved Shawdow and me from the fourth floor that day," Wenjay explained. "The detail about Jim Guan wearing a 'Call of Duty' T-shirt was told to me by him."
"Oh," Mingyoo realized and nodded to Leo, "Hello."
Leo looked utterly lost, replying, "Hello." He then turned to Wenjay, asking, "This is...?"
"My boss," Wenjay introduced, "Mingyoo Jow."
"Oh, hello, boss!" Leo's eyes lit up as if he had found a savior. "My sister has gone missing. Can you please help me find out what happened? It's been a day and a night. Where could she, a single young woman, have gone? Was she kidnapped, like that researcher Han from the Optoelectronics Institute? Are there any criminal gangs targeting researchers recently?"
