Chapter 4:-ENDER
Huff! Huff!
I was rushing into the forest blindly with all my might. My legs were hearting, my whole body was covered with scratches and cuts from the trees.
Rumble!
A flash of light illuminating the world around me. I saw the sky and I could vaguely see the stars in the sky and a moon but all of it was covered in dark clouds.
"Shit"
I had to find a shelter or something similar to it fast or it will not be good for me if it starts to rain.
Boom!
"Fuck"
A huge lightning bolt falling near me scared the shit out of me making me fall flat. As I fell to the ground all my strength left my body, I could not stand at all, my legs were hurting like crazy. Not having any energy in my body I could only lie there.
I felt something cold drop on my face. Seeing above I realized it had started raining.
All around me, I could see plants I have never seen before. Some plants' leaves were in black, almost camouflaging in the environment. There was also a white colour flower that was glowing and brightening the forest. In the low light of the flower, I could faintly see a dark small creature making a chirping sound. I could hear the pattering and chirping from everywhere. It looked like a magical forest. The trees were as high as the sky and had patterns on its trunk in such a way that the rainwater was collected in it reaching the soil near its root. But the water collected near me was red.
Move!
I could feel myself on the brink of unconsciousness but I could not, I COULD NOT STOP. I had to move anyhow, run and not stop till I can find a place to take shelter.
Move!
In my mind, all the good memories were playing. When I first confessed my love to my first crush, the day I was leaving the orphanage, My first salary, and the moment of my death.
Move!
And so I did, even though I was feeling intense pain I stood up and took a step forward only to fall. But that could not stop me as I had to move.
Through sheer willpower, I dragged my body forward. It did not matter if my body was cut in countless places or if my legs could move.
I somehow dragged my body forward using whatever energy was left in my body.
I did not know how long I moved but my senses were getting dull, I could hardly see what was in front of me, I could not hear from one ear, and one of my legs had completely stopped working.
I could see something in the distance but not clearly. It could be dangerous but I took my chances and reached near it.
It was an old wooden house abandoned for a long time. I came near it and used whatever strength I had to open the door.
Opening the door, I went inside the house and closed the door. As soon as I closed the door, all the strength left my body, and I fell straight down and lost consciousness.
Chirp! Chirp!
The sound of something woke me up early morning. As soon as I woke up I stood up and picked my sword. I started cautiously seeing the house and was on full alert.
The house itself was made of wood. There was a damp rotten smell in the air. Parts of the house were broken and everything was slightly wet. Many broken wooden pieces were just lying around in the house. There were some broken pieces of furniture. The windows had no glasses at all and the sunlight was entering the room from the windows illuminating the room. Outside I could see an endless forest. I just kept staring at the magical forest.
There were all kinds of plants and flowers covering the earth and the trees so high it was covering the sky. It was hard to explain in words because of how magical it felt.
It took some time before I came back to my senses and then I checked the whole house and I was sure that it was safe for the time being, I sat down on the ground. Not having completely recovered from my fatigue, it did not take me time to fall asleep.
All the structures around me were made of some sort of sandy material. There were no fixed shapes of anything, they were all changing in their form, sometimes they were god, and sometimes they were man and woman, other times me.
Everything felt old yet new, odd yet smooth, ugly yet beautiful. My head felt as light as a feather.
But there was something wrong in this place. Something I could not put my finger on. Forcing my mind, I came into focus and saw the place.
"Dream, not this boring one again"
It was not the first time I came to this place, it was my dream. And I was Lucid dreaming. Not the first time I had these, I could change anything here with little to no pressure.
Everything around me changed to my home.
Director - "Where are you looking?"
I was sitting in the director's office, for another lecture because I did something wrong.
Noah - "Thank you, for everything you gave me in life, Thank you"
Director - sigh "What am I even going to do to you? Go play, no lecture for you today."
All started to flow like sand trying to form something but it could not. Without my knowledge, I was crying, only now I realised how much I want to meet him. But it cannot be made possible, not anymore. I have to move on in my life, I cannot keep ruminating about the past.
When I calmed down a saw the place I saw the sand was flowing on and on but there was one thing still in the world, A Sword.
It was a majestic sword formed entirely out of sand and there was some special aura around it attracting everything. I started to move towards it and as soon as I held it, I opened my eyes.
The feeling of holding that sword was not the same as the one I was holding. That sword was magical and that's just it, it cannot be real.

My mood instantly became better after seeing my status. It was beautiful and my nerdy side instantly got to understand every parameter of it.
AFFINITY was self-explanatory, it's just your affinity with elements like Fire, Water etc.
POINTS might be something like the stats point which I can invest into my stats to increase it.
LUC being LUCK, API for APPEARANCE, CHA for CHARISMA. I won't comment on API and I guess Cha is ok too but Luc is at another level. I just hope it's not that effective in my life and I can increase it so that it won't hinder my life.
MISCELLANEOUS was the total of my CHA, API and LUC, not sure why it's written like that.
WIS is WISDOM, PER is PERCEPTION, and INT is INTELLIGENCE but all of their specific use is yet to be seen.
MENTAL same as MISCELLANEOUS being the sum of INT, PER and WIS.
AGI for AGILITY for my movement speed maybe? DEX for DEXTERITY for my body Health, I hope? And STR for STRENGTH
For my strength, Obviously.
PHYSICAL is the same old as the MENTAL just the sum of STR, DEX and AGI.
MP for my magic capacity and HP for my health capacity, not sure about the recovery rate, and the thing in the bracket may be some sort of Modifier but I will have to see that in future.
Age 16, and male human and my name is ETHAN WINTERS from now on. No problems there and good that my age is in middle adolescence, this helps me in being under the radar as a minor learning to face the world.
LEVEL 2 and EXP will need further data collection to say anything more.
CLASS is my class and it is UPGRADER, not understanding what and how much I can upgrade I touched it and an explanation came up.

Just this simple explanation opened up Pandora's box for me. When it says anything what exactly does it mean? Can I upgrade the shirt I am wearing or the sword in my hand or the broken wooden pieces? Just the sheer amount of questions was hurting my mind.
Title is as the name suggests it's a title for my achievement and I get some bonus because of it. ON THE PATH OF ENDER the title showed on my interface, I could not understand its meaning so I clicked on it.
