Chapter twenty-eight: Die or live

Ben, we have been walking for hours now and we have not seen anyone coming to save us, Li Xian grumbled as he dropped to the ground due to exhaustion.

Li, are you okay? Emily asked when she noticed his situation was becoming worse.

I'm fine but, don't think we can make it out of here alive. If I had known I would have followed Rick instead.

Ben, you were so careless back then. You brought an assassin to kill Rick without considering our lives, Rebecca told Ben.

Who cares besides, my only goal was to kill Rick not to harm you guys, and he and his teammates should have been dead by now, Ben smiled with a wicked grin.

Ben, why don't we continue our journey, and if they can't keep up, we have to leave them behind, Dave announced.

After splitting up with Rick and his teammates, they had been getting attacked by monsters and had almost run out of energy. Even a level 10 monster was now a problem.

Okay, Ben answered as he and his servants walked away.

 Suddenly, Rick appeared in front of all of them before shouting I found them to the rest of the troops who were several meters away.

Rick, Ben mumbled angrily. He thought he had already been killed by the monsters but now, he was standing in front of them. He had to kill him, it was a die-or-live situation.

Ben,  hope you didn't forget our bet. You have already become my pet, Rick told Ben while patting his soldiers.

 I am going to kill you, Ben shouted in rage as he suddenly shot a lightning bolt at Rick.

Time barrier, Rick used his magic to evade the surprise attack.

Ben, is that his you have been behaving? Miss Tasha asked Ben after noticing what he had done. She thought he would be happy that Rick saved his life by finding him but instead, he decided to kill him.

Miss Tasha, Ben blurted out in surprise. He didn't expect his class teacher to be with Rick and now, he might have to repeat the year one class because of his attitude to Rick.

Rick, how were you able to survive the attack from the monsters? We all thought you were dead, Emily asked.

Everyone had almost died after getting attacked continuously by the monsters even though they had a large group unlike Rick and his teammates that we're only three.

We followed the path of the mysterious man else we would have been killed by now, I replied to her.

So you were using them for your escape, you are very smart, she replied with a thumbs up.

Anyway, we have to investigate both of them or else, your lives will constantly be in danger, Miss Tasha told everyone. 

Miss Tasha, you remember the group that was chasing me for the katana and the man who also used time magic were behind this besides, I recognized his voice but decided not to talk else, I will be killed.

Hmm, Miss Tasha mumbled before we started going to the base.
