Chapter thirty-four: Help

After Tom, May, and Li Xian had left, Rick decided to visit Miss Tasha. He seriously needed someone to guide him with his metal element.

For a while, he had been trying to use a new metal skill but, he could not come up with any.

I better use my teleportation. If my parents find out I will be leaving the house for a while, they won't allow me, he mumbled to himself.

If he told his parents about his new element they might tell everyone else hence, he could only ask Miss Tasha for help since she already knew about his metal element.

After making up his mind, he decided to stick to the latter decision he made. After all, his parent won't find out he left the house.

After deciding, he activated his magic circle before using his teleportation.

Shit, he mumbled to himself. He was only able to teleport about seventy-five meters and Miss Tasha's house was about two thousand five hundred meters away.

I better go back to get my wallet, he uttered as he used his teleportation to return to his room before using his teleportation again.

I feel faint, he grumbled. He has used teleportation three times in a row so, his energy had already been used up.

Even an ant could beat him up right now.

[Nb: an ant can not beat up a human, the author is just exaggerating.]

After some time, he finally arrived at Miss Tasha's house. 

"Knocks."

Who could be knocking at my door now? Miss Tasha asked herself. She wasn't expecting anyone at this particular time so she was surprised.

Who is that? She asked as she peeped through the door hole before noticing it was Rick.

You, she let as she opened the door for him. He had nearly given her a heart attack earlier so she was a little bit mad at him.

Sorry, I should have given you a call and told you that I was coming over, said Rick awkwardly. He was so concentrated on learning a new metal element skill that he forgot to inform her before coming over.

Anyway, why are you here? Miss Tasha asked him more gently this time. After hearing his explanation, her anger had begun to dissolve.

I came here to lend a magic element book guide, he told her. When he had unlocked his time element, she gave him a book guide that contained the moves of most time magicians' basic skills.

If that's why you came here, then I can't help you. I only got the one for time magic because I bought it as a kid, she told him.

Back then, she wished to get time magic but in the end, she could only get water and ice magic. But when she noticed Rick was the only person who unlocked tome magic, she decide to give the book to him.

Hmm, can I get one in the market? I don't have money so could you help me buy it? He asked her.

He was currently short on funds, so if he wanted to buy a guidebook, he would need her help since she had so much money and she was very influential.

Is your brain flooded with water? She asked. There was no guidebook found in the market, it could only be gotten in auction houses.

And as for her money, she wasn't going to give him easily else, he would treat her as a bank which he could borrow funds from.

"Oh," he replied to her before continuing"if you help me, I will owe you a favor". He thought guidebooks were very common. He never thought they could only be found in auction houses.

Since you owe me a favor, I will consider helping you, she told.

Consider, Rick felt his heart all of a sudden. He had slinked out of his house because of a single book but now, he was going to return empty-handed.

Fine, I will help you, Miss Tasha told him after noticing his gloomy expression. She had almost burst out laughing after seeing his expression.

After hearing her reply, he suddenly felt better. He had never been played with like this before just because he needed help.
