Chapter 188

"Daniel.." Lucky called when he and Minerva walked into the living room to find him leaning on the door. 

He did not respond in any way let alone even a hum or turning his head to look at them. 

The different smells if emotions wafting off of him in waves made it unbearable for Lucky. Minerva was silent not aware of what to do for the emotionally torn lad by the door. 

Lucky grazed his eyes on Daniel. He was still trying his best on not reading other people's minds with Hood's promise in mind but he was certain that whatever ran through Daniel's mind had to do with Maynard. 

"Um... I'll go make a cup of hot chocolate." Minerva offered, her eyes were still on Daniel but she could still feel Lucky's eyes on her. 

"What?" She questioned as she turned her head to look at Lucky. 

"Hot chocolate helps people. Stop giving me that look." She remarked before turning to go back to the kitchen thus leaving the two boys alone.
