Gu Yuanxing

Dilireba and Deng Lun turn to see a lady with a princess hair braid wearing a royal purple starmist gown, sparkling as she elegantly walks towards them. It was Gu Yanxing, the apple eye and the princess of the Gu household.

Deng Lun unconsciously let go of Dilireba and step away from her.

Deng Lun stared at Gu Yuanxing for a few minutes before letting out a sound.

" Yuan- Yuanxing… Xing'er is it really you?"

" En."

With that reply Deng Lun walk towards her cautiously, thinking that he is imagining things again. And so he decided to test her.

" Saudade-"

" The love still remains… Dummy, I'm not back for just three years and you are forgetting-"

Before she could finish, Deng Lun rushed toward her and hug her tightly.

" Xing'er… Xing'er! It's really you! Where have you gone all those years? I... missed you."

However, even though the reunion was touching, deep inside Deng Lun felt disgusted touching her, but he endured before stepping away from her.

Gu Yuanxing asked Deng Lun, " Can I be your partner for the first ballad?"

Along the touching moment, they forgot about Dilireba, but because of her last sentence, Deng Lun was reminded she was still there. When they are happily united, Dilireba was standing on the sidelines, feeling excluded and thinking that she may disturb them. She understands that both of them need some privacy and she was being the villain or the third wheel getting between them. Dilireba decided to leave them in their world.

" Wait!" Deng Lun said when he notices that Dilireba was going somewhere else.

Dilireba turned around asking, " What?"

However, she is stunned for she only turns around for a few seconds but many of the guests had already surrounded Deng Lun asking him to dance with their daughters even though he already has a wife.

" Put on a show with me and dance."

" …"

On the first dance, Deng Lun and Dilireba dance throughout the floor as the crowd dissipating, feeling disappointed.

After the dance, Dilireba wanted to go somewhere else.

Deng Lun told her that she can go and he will pick her up after the party, but reminded her that she cannot let the paparazzi took a photo of her with someone else especially if it were a male or else she would still be punished.

Dilireba went to the dessert table and started eating, however for some reason she didn't have any appetite. She only ate 7 cupcakes, picking at her food waiting for the party to end. Her thoughts always wander back to Deng Lun. [Why am I still thinking about him? Our marriage is arranged and we don't have any affections towards each other. It is destined to end without any good ending. But... why am I feeling so empty?]

The banquet soon ended. Dilireba went outside to wait for Deng Lun. She waited in the cold for half an hour, however, there was no sign of Deng Lun.
