Hidden Intentions

In the central college of Kanugo, someone was walking on the corridor of the first floor. It was Dr Felter, around whom the students were flocking to have their doubts cleared.

He was solving the doubt of a female student on the corridor.

"You should meet me after the day is over. I will explain this in detail," He said with sweet and generous smile.

Dr Felter was an old man without ant facial hair but had a face chiseled in perfect shape. It seemed like he was quite good-looking in his early days. He had grey hair cut in which was looking quite good on him.

"Okay, thank you, sir," The girl said and went away. He glanced at her butt and smirked as if his personality changed all of a sudden.

"Dad!" Someone called him from behind. He turned and saw Jessica coming towards him.

"How many times have I told you, Jessica? Call me 'Sir' in the college," He mentioned when she stopped near him.

"I am sorry, da…" She paused. "I mean, sir." Dr Felter shook his head sideways.

"Actually, I wanted to tell you something," She said.

"Yes?"

"I met someone who admired you, he wanted to meet you and was waiting for you outside the college gate," She said while walking side by side with him.

"Oh, is he still there?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, I took his number and will tell him to meet you once you are free," She replied. "Dad, you should have heard about his views on love."

"Oh, he seems like a wonderful person."

"He is…"

Dr Felter could see a different shine in his daughter's eyes. He just smiled from the corner of his lips and said, "I would like to meet him. Tell him to arrive at the home in the evening."

She nodded and was about to walk away when she was stopped by her father. "You seem quite happy today, Jessica."

She smiled, turned and walked away without giving a reply.

Meanwhile, in the police station, a police inspector arrived when Detective John was going through news articles on his phone.

"Sir, I have found out about Claire Hoover," The police inspector said upon arriving.

John raised his head and kept his cell phone on the table. "Yes? Tell me everything you came to know."

"Sir, according to her college friends, her mother passed away when she was really young. Her father had been taking care of her since that day. There was unusual in her life except one thing which I found strange."

"Strange? What is it?" John asked while squinting.

"Sir, she was in a relationship with a boy named Alexander Stone in her college for two years."

"What is so strange about it?"

"Sir, once their college term was over, he went missing."

"What?" John stood up with a quizzical expression. "What happened then?"

"Claire was not in the country as she was doing higher studies in foreign. Her college friends filed a missing complaint three years ago," The police inspector told.

"Is it in the records? Was he found?"

"No, sir. He was not found, neither dead nor alive. We have the registered complaint in our files though."

"Alright," John said while nodding. "Bring me the file. I want to check each every angle of this."

The police inspector had a question. "But sir, how do you think the missing complaint would be related to the masked serial killer?"

"I don't know yet, but this girl is somehow related to this case. I feel like this, my gut instinct is telling me this strongly. Bring me the file."

The police inspector nodded, left for a while and returned with the file. He opened it and has his eyes got expanded in surprise. He never thought that he would get a lead this way.

On the other hand, Professor Ryan was getting ready for his meeting with Dr Felter. He combed his hair in front of the mirror, wore the glasses he had kept on the table and tucked a knife in his pants behind his back. As he was about to get out of his room, his eyes fell on a drawer.

He walked to the drawer and opened it to see the blood splattered faceless mask. He was considering his decision to take it or not. He closed the drawer without taking it and left the room.

Meanwhile, in a dark apartment, someone entered. It was no one other than James who was upset when he came to know that Alex had returned in Claire's life.

He took out a bottle of liquor and poured it in a glass. He was looking quite angry from his facial expression.

He picked up the glass took a sip while walking towards a wall of his room. There was something stuck on the wall but it was not visible clearly as the lights were off.

He turned on the bulb after taking a sip from the glass to look at the contents stuck on the wall.

There were different pictures of Claire stuck here and there on the wall. Her social media accounts were stuck there, and her personal information was also stuck there which were written on the sticky notes. He had every kind of pictures of her. From young to adult, from school to college and from alone to with her friends. Of course, he had her pictures with Alex as well.

He could not control his anger when he looked at her with Alex. His face was telling it.

"Aaahh!" He screamed and threw the wine on the picture. "I won't let you get away this easily. Don't think you have escaped from me," He muttered and threw the chair aside which was beside him.

"Alex…" He threw the glass on the picture as well which broke when hit the wall. "I won't let you steal her away from me again. Even if I have to do anything…" He walked away from the wall and sat on the sofa. "Even if I have to do anything."
