Departure pt 2

Derek hung up the phone. 

"Okay bye," Taaliyah and Derek bid farewell with Rini and her child who fell asleep in her arms. 

"Go in, the baby will catch cold," Derek said. 

"Ha, ha, yes I get it," Rini smiled.

"Thank you," 

"I don't want Taaliyah to make mistakes like me," Rini said. "You have always been her choice, she is not making mistakes this time," Rini wanted Derek to know that. Even though Taaliyah hid her relationship, Rini always knew what was going on between the two crack heads. 

"She has always been number to me too," Derek assured Rini. And he took off. Rini watched them until they disappeared and walked back home to put her child to bed. 

Derek remained silent all through his journey. They had a long distance to go, to get back to his place.
