Bee

I stood in front of Nymph with a smile on my face . I had been slightly worried he would not be pleased to find me at his school but he did not appear mad , only surprised .

" What are you , how are you ... Bee , how are you here ? " he asked me and I explained to him .

Gus had told me earlier in the morning that he had talked to a friend of his who was a janitor at Nymph's school . He had asked his friend , if he needed an " extra hand " and his friend had agreed .

Gus had then taken me to a place called a ' Bus stop ' where he had taken me into town again . We had gone into a building with old rusty doors . Inside were stairs and many rooms. In one room we found a man , who I believed was also Gus's friend . They had chatted and Gus had asked his friend for a ' solid ' .

They then began talking about photographs , papers and money . This did not make sense to me and I ignored most of it . After awhile they asked me if I wanted my picture taken ... I had hesitated but Gus had told me it was a way to see Nymph and I had readily agreed .

I proceeded to take several pictures and when they finally stopped , they asked me which one I preferred . I had looked at the small pictures in my hands with a frown. What was the point of this choice ? I had wondered , all the pictures looked the same . I choose one and Gus's friend took it away , behind a red door .

We had then sat for nearly two hours , before his friend returned . When he returned , he had a black bag with papers and a small card . On the card was the picture of me , except it was not me . I asked Gus what this was for and he said he would tell and show me on the way to school .

We arrived at a large building with a flag infront of it . I asked if this was Nymph's school and Gus said yes . I wanted to see Nymph but Gus said for me to come with him first .

We soon met a man with grey hair and glasses . He looked frail and old but smiled when he saw Gus .

" Hey Old Lu , how are you ? " Gus had said and the old man gave him a handshake .

" I'm as good as I'll be . How about you Gus , still single and jobless ? " the old man said and Gus frowned .

" I'm just waiting for the right job . " Gus said folding his arms , " And speaking of job , I need you to hire my friend over here ."

" Mmm seems like a stiff guy to me . " the old man said turning to me , " How are you ? "

" I am fine , how are you ? " I asked politely and the man nodded his head.

" Well , he speaks , but can he clean ? " the man asked Gus and Gus laughed .

" He learns fast and he listens well . You won't regret it ." Gus said , " So he's hired ? "

" Give me a moment to get in with the school and to teach him ... which means he'll be done by this afternoon ." the old man said with a smile .

" That's my old Lu . Knew I could count on you ." Gus said , " Listen Bee , if you want to see Yuree , do what he says , got it ? "

I nodded my head and turned to the old man waiting for his instructions . He told me to follow him and we went to a room where there were bottles and things on shelves and racks with blue clothes.

" Put those on and take that mop . I'll be back in five minutes ." The old man had said pointing to the clothes and a stick with a strange end . I had changed from my other clothes and put them down . I had put on the strange blue clothes and picked up the mop .

" Good , that's nice . But you might want to take off that mask . " the old man said and I nodded my head . I took my mask off and put it with my clothes .

" Now come on , I need to show you how being a janitor's assistant works ." the old man said and I followed him to a dumpster .

" I'm going to take the trash from here and you're going to clean this hallway okay ? " The old man said , he took the mop from my hand and showed me how to mop . He then took the garbage from the dumpster and I started to mop the floor .

We then went to the cafeteria where students were walking around . A few of the humans looked at me but I ignored them , I instead looked if I could find Nymph but I didn't . We then picked up the trash from the bins and it was then that I saw Nymph , in the back of the room. I was sad to see him leaving though .

" Is that the boy Gus said you wanted to see ? " the old man asked me and I nodded my head .

" Well , he seems to be going to the restroom . " he said , " You can go and check on him , I made that deal with Gus . But you have to come back here quick , you still have a job to do and being tardy on your first day isn't good ."

" Yes , sir ." I said but he waved his hand .

"

" Oh to heck with the sir stuff . Call me old Lu . " he said , " It's all anyone has called me for nearly ten years in this school ."

" Yes, old Lu . " I said and he smiled .

" Well , go on . Go to your little lover there." old Lu said and I nodded my head .

I had followed the way Nymph had gone but didn't see him . I found two boys talking to themselves and I hesitated before asking them if they saw Yuree Rosi .

" Umm yes , we did . " one of them said looking at me with wide eyes , " He went that way . " pointing to a passage .

" Yes ... that way ." the other one said pointing aswell and I thanked them and walked away . I heard some strange shouting from the boys as I walked away but didn't turn around . I had to find Nymph .

I saw a door down the passage and when I entered it , I was pleased to find Nymph . He was looking at the mirror on the wall and smiling strangely . When he turned around I instantly felt happy that he was close again .

" Hi Nymph ." I said with a smile and he said " Hi Bee ... Bee ! "

His eyes had opened wide and he'd looked at me up and down.He must have been curious about my clothes , I thought .

" Bee ... what are you doing here ? How are you here ? " he said looking at me .

" I came here for you ." I said simply , I then explained how I came to be there and everything that had happened that day . Strangely the more I told him , the more Nymph frowned . Was he angry at me , I wondered when I finished .

" Unbelievable . " Nymph said turning to the mirror , " A con artist , fake ID and a fast track job . What was Gus thinking ? "

" Nymph ... are you angry I came ? Do you want me to return to the house ? " I asked him unsure .

" I ... don't . I'm happy you're here . Relieved infact ." He said turning to me with a smile. " I never would believe you'd become a janitor or Janitor's assistant ."

" I find the job very mundane but if I can see you now then I do not mind ." I told him and I smiled again .

" That's great but are you getting paid ? " he asked and I tilted my head confused .

" Paid ? Do I have to be ? " I asked him and he shook his head .

" Nevermind , I'll talk about it with Gus when we get home . " he said , then a shrill sound started outside and he sighed .

" That's the bell . I gotta get back to class . " he said and I frowned confused again but I nodded my head .

" I will see you later Bee . I promise , it's going to be hard not too . " He said giving me a hug and I felt the warm feeling return , " You're a very good Janitor's assistant , I'm sure ."

He then turned around and left and I followed after to see him walk away .

I then remembered my promise to old Lu and went back to him .

I was sad that Nymph would not be around me all the time at school but I would try to be around him as much as I could .
