Chapter 10

Dani woke up excited for the day and immediately texted Kenji. After she sent her message she placed her phone down on the night stand and got out of bed to get ready for the day. She took a quick shower before getting out into the cold bathroom and quickly getting dressed.

She wore dark blue jeans and a yellow sweat shirt that Tony got her a few years ago on a trip to the beach. She blow dried her hair so that it wouldn’t freeze in the cold winter air and the went to do her make-up.

Meanwhile, Kenji was curled up in bed still thinking about his father and his father’s new family. He was heartbroken and there was nothing else on his mind.

Dani was patiently waiting for the time that they planned, distracting herself with talking to Tony and coming up with new writing prompts for stories she wants to write in the future. She couldn’t help the excitement she was feeling as she waited for her date.
