You shouldn't joke during meals

Shawn looked away when he heard talk about trust.... He didn't trust him at all and Lijun knew because it was of how reckless he was with his decisions and he always made them without consulting anyone.

"If you're going to say something then say it Shawn since when have you hesitated to tell me something with that blubber mouth of yours?" Lijun asked while his eyes were on his phone a smirk appearing on his handsome face as he looked at the headlines. Wasn't he a genius to tell that reporter to put up that headline? Shawn frowned he wasn't even done talking. But he continued." By the way boss, your brother.... He went back to France when you were gone for your business trip" said Shawn knowing someone was going to be in trouble. "So is that what you were hesitant to tell me about?" asked Lijun with so much indifference. "The thing is, he will be back after a few days... Cause you can easily buy some young dude to give you those all the time!"Yep, all the answers to his stepmother were always harsher than the last. Their relationship was mutually based on hate and insults mostly coming from him." Lijun quickly hang up leaving his stepmother talking to herself.

" Mama issues? "asked Shawn sarcastically earning him a head slap from Lijun." Shouldn't you be driving to Miss Wang's home? "

Lijun quietly smiled knowing his witch of a step mother wasn't his problem at that moment but right now his mind was on his accident fiancee." Sir, are you sure about visiting her home now with all that happened?"

"Won't this make me a doting and caring fiancee cause am sure my darling is stressed because everyone knows our little secret.... I will go to the Wang mansion to take my future bride home... Aren't I a genius Shawn?" asked Lijun excitedly as he smiled to himself. Shawn nodded hesitantly." So what will you tell her parents? "

" It's not like she's a minor or something you know. If you so badly want to know then let's continue with our journey " Lijun said smiling.

"Lixi darling tell me exactly about this secret relationship you've been having with Mr Jiang because I just find it hard to believe that....

Lixi said while looking at Lisa who was tightly grabbing the wine glass with all her might,the poor wine glass looked as if it was gasping for air.

They were at the dining table and things were not so cool yet. The mother and daughter duo weren't done taking in what the reporters kept blabbing. Lisa didn't even want to turn her phone on talk more of the television which now to her had become an enemy. She didn't want to see the notifications which would remind her of the pain she was suffering.

"There's nothing to say on our relationship that's why it's called a secret father."

"But we as you're parents at least we should have known this whole thing. Imagine if the reporters were to ask us Lixi what were we to tell them?"

"*Cough cough *dad you shouldn't joke during meals see you almost made me cough on my drink by referring to yourself and your wife as parents. I wish the reporters could just ask you questions.... Not even complicated ones just the basics so that they could know what kind of parents you are! "

'Bang' came the sound when Mrs Wang interrupted the father daughter duo from their conversation because they were acting as if she wasn't there. She had banged the glass table to have their attention." Mother you could have just spoken and we could have listened to you" said Lixi with all the sarcasm she could afford in this world. "I've heard enough of this stupid girl..... So what if she is even married to that man?" This words she said got her several glares from three different people. Lisa who was trying to be calm all this while and just saw how wild Lixi had gotten glared at her mother wondering if her mother just said married, so she was here dying inside while her mother was talking about marriage and had already planned it out? Way to go mum of the year.

Lixi didn't like the thought of being called stupid but she didn't want to retaliate until the woman stopped her hysterical shouting. Mr Wang looked at his wife wondering whether she didn't see how hard he was trying to coax Lixi to tell the truth so that they could get behind this once and for all.

"Lixi if what you say is real why isn't he here to explain himself and declare everything before us? I know why because all this is just a fake no man will ever like you no one" she looked like she was assuring you that and convincing herself more than telling Lixi... This made her look like a mad woman.

"I think I've lost my appetite" declared Lixi as if those words were just not said to her. She carefully stood up and went upstairs to her room.

There where she was left alone and away from them all, she felt a lump growing in her throat and everything that happened that day now flowed as her mind processed it all.

She remembered the slap her father delivered onto her the insults that she was usually used to but today it seemed to sting more than usual. Remembering how she defended her mother made it hurt most. Lixi sat cuddled up while she removed muffled sounds coming from her sobs which she didn't want anyone to here cause that would bring joy to Lisa and her mother.

Lixi couldn't believe how strong she was today never in her life could she believe and not even in her wildest dreams could she believe she could stand up to her sister and step mother. It made her feel free to do and say what she wanted this made her feel like a free bird from a terrible master. She secretly thanked Lijun for this little scandal.

Then it hit her mind. What if the crazy man decided to come to her house?This made her quickly stand up and wipe her tears she paced around the room quickly.
