Chapter 2- Transported to Another World... For Just 24 Hours! Part 2

My mind becomes clear and my body doesn't ache. I keep my eyes closed a little longer, to stay out of reality. This might sound weird, but I would much rather stay in that dream, than real life. "Heh-heh, what are you even thinking, that dream was horrible." Even so, its still better than your miserable life. "I guess my minds got a point."

I open my eyes and to my surprise I'm outside. I jolt up from the ground and see a girl sitting a little ways in front of me. "No freaking way." I'm frozen still and keep staring at the girl who I had thought I just dreamt about. How is this possible? Wasn't that all just a stupid dream? Why am I not awake in my bed? Why are you complaining? Shouldn't you be ecstatic. You've now confirmed that you have been transported to another world. The realization of everything is still sinking in. I stare at the girl for several more seconds. As I do, I can see the resemblance of the girl from the memories and the girl sitting in the grass in front of me. I have a lot of questions, but the one I want answered out of all of them is, who am I in this current world.

I feel the same and sound the same. But since I don't have a mirror I cant see if I'm the same me as from before; in the looks department. Heck the me, from the memory, sounded like I did as a kid. I stare pensively at, whom I presume, is Lilith. More memories are coming back to me. The more I get; the more confused I become. "Well I guess it could be worse. I could've been sent here with nothing. At least I have a background; albeit one Im not familiar with."

A couple of giggles come from Lilith. This snaps me out of my train of thought. Before I can say anything, she speaks. "June you are just like you were when we were kids; always talking to yourself. But I guess if you didn't do that you wouldn't have your charm." I blush at this remark. She doesn't notice since she is still staring off into the distance. I walk up to her and plop down beside her. "So, it has been a while.' She says, this time, looking over at me. "Yeah totally. I haven't seen you since..." Actually, according to the memories, when is the last I saw her. All I recall is walking through the massive school gate and then, my mind draws a blank and skips to my family moving to Loutish; which is where I am now. I also believe that my family, here, was noble and that's why the school I went to was prestigious.

These memories are very impressive and hinder my comprehension of why the memories are here in the first place. I know they're not mine; even though they're technically yours now. Yes, I guess, but that's besides the point. They are seamless and coinciding well with the memories from my world; which is how I can get all this information easily. Still it bothers me that there is a huge gap from the time with Lilith to when we moved to Loutish. I am in another deep train of thought and she brings me back, again. "There you are, talking to yourself again." She says this with a hint of nostalgia.

I smile and then she asks me if I really cant remember what happened that day. Or any day till I moved here for a matter of fact. "Yeah...Um... I cant." I say with a hint of embarrassment. "Do you want to remember." My eyes light up with anticipation. "I do."

She scoots closer to me. I can feel my heart rate increase. "So, are you going to tell me all the blanks in my mind?" "No." "What; why?" I am confused at how Im supposed to know what happened if she doesn't tell me. "I cant tell you. Telling you would take too much time and I wouldn't be able to give you all the details. Furthermore, the last time I saw you was when 'that' happened." She sounds like she just thought back to a horrific time in her life. "If you don't mind me asking what is the 'that' you speak of?" I ask timidly. "You'll find out soon enough." It's always at another time. I want to know now. But I guess I can be patient. Especially since it sounds like 'that' was traumatizing for her. Even though that makes me want to know what 'that' is even more.

"Are you hungry?" This is a sudden change of topic. But know that I think, it does look around when dinner should be... 'Yes, I am starving." "Okay then lets go to the Lavish Inn to eat. Seven and Ivory are already there to meet with us." "Wait did you have this planned already?" "Maybe." She looks away and leaves my question with that. "When we get to the Inn, I'll also give you the ability to know what happened, sort of." That's not reassuring, but I got nothing else to do. "What are we waiting for lets go then." I know where the Inn is and get up to start walking towards it. The Inn is only about a mile from where we are. I can see the village where the Inn is from where Im at. Lilith gets up and we start to walk towards the Lavish Inn. The whole way to the Lavish Inn Lilith doesn't say a word to me.

We arrive, and the Inn is just how I, or should I say the other, remembers it. The outside is the run of the mill Inn from any anime known to Otaku-kind. The building is wooden, and the wood is worn. There is a porch area that is the same width as the whole building and leads to double wooden doors. The trademark sign is made of wood and on it is a mug of ale which mashes side by side with a bed. We head inside and to my surprise its crowded. Almost all the tables are full. I look to my left and see Lilith heading towards a table next to the stairs leading to the upstairs, where adventures stay to rest; not without a price, of course.

At the table are the two girls who aided in the murder of the thugs. I grab the seat closest to the stair well. Lilith sits in the chair across from me. "Heeeey you're the guy that Lilith decided not to kill." The girl on my right said. So, she didn't tell them that I was coming? "Um-m-m yeah..." She just must bring up something embarrassing. "Sister don't speak such nonsense. You knew good and well that this young man was coming to dine with us." This time the girl on my left said. So, they did know I was coming. That does make things a little less awkward. "Sorry sis; I was just messing with him." She looks down flustered. I know these types of characters. The girl on my right is the social happy-go-getter type; while the girl on my left is the uptight intelligent type. I am happy at how unoriginal the fantasy world I was transferred to is.

Lilith starts to speak. "June these are my closest friends. The girl to your right is Seven." "High-ya its nice to meet ya." Seven stood up and waved both hands in my face, besides the fact that we were no more than a couple feet away. Yep she is one hundred percent the cheery ditzy type. Lilith introduces the girl on my left. "And this hear is Ivory." "It is a pleasure to meet one of Lilith's childhood friends. I hope that we can get along." She stands up and gives a slight bow. That's amazing I never thought anyone would ever bow to me. Not to mention she is confirmed to be the intelligent polite type. Besides the fact that she killed someone without batting an eye; albeit a bad guy.

I stand up and introduce myself. "It is very nice to meet you Seven and Ivory. I also hope that we can all get along." I say with a nervous smile. Look at this, your harems already starting to develop. Trust me, me, you don't have to tell me twice; Im already ecstatic.

Im curious about Seven and Ivory. From what Im seeing they look related. They both have a well-endowed body and light brown skin. The only real notable difference is the way they style their dark black hair. Seven has her hair flowing down below her shoulders like a stream of calm water. Moreover, Ivory has her hair in a pony tail; which makes her look more mature. Also, their eyes are different. The colors are the same, green and blue, but which eye is that color is different. Sevens right eye is blue and left eye is green. While Ivory's eyes are the opposite. Still there is no denying how beautiful they are. Now time to confirm my suspicion.

"I was wondering, are you two sisters." "Ye-a-s!" "Yes." Two very different ways to say the same thing, but still the same. "Yes, Seven and I are twins..." "Yep that's right, but Ill always be older than you Ivory." Seven says with a prideful look on her face. Ivory's face turns red, "It doesn't matter who came out first we are still the same age." I would have never guessed that Seven was the "older" one, but then again it happens all the time. When you least expect something, usually that something happens. I change the subject. "So how did the two of you meet Lilith." Seven and Ivory look at each other then over to Lilith. Its like they were asking Lilith if they could tell me something, except without saying anything. Lilith gives the girls a nod of approval.

"Ivory I'll let you tell him... You know how hard it is for me to talk about 'back then'." She looks gloomy. "Oh, if its a hard topic to talk about. Then you don't have to..." I fade back in my seat even more uncomfortable than before. Of course, a question people normally ask each other, when they first meet, leads back to an atrocious experience. Ivory speaks, "No its fine Ill tell you how we met. It is hard to talk about, but since you will be traveling with us..." Wait. When was that decided? "it is only right for you to know our past." I know Im depressed and attempted suicide, however I don't like to hear sad and traumatic experiences of others.

"I'll go back to when we were fifteen years of age. Our family was very poor and lived in the slums of the Capital. The slums we dwelled in is called Muekina this name comes from the ancient language that every section in the capital is named with. Although we don't use that tongue anymore, but that is besides the point. Muekina translates to useless. So, from that alone you should be able to infer that we were the poorest of poor and disowned by all people in the kingdom. We were treated lesser than dogs. During this time our family was doing more than one questionable job. Still, even with, all the work we had barely enough food to stay alive. Our house was a mere box that barely kept the elements away from us."

She paused for second to compose herself. At the same time Seven was looking down; not letting anyone able to see her emotions. From this alone I could tell that I was in for a sorrow filled story. "One day out of Out of the blue three men came into our part of town. They were wearing black cloaks that covered their whole being. Their face was masked by shadows and their voice... Oh gods... Their voice was a low husk. With such malice and disgust that, till this very moment, I can hear it like the first. The evening they arrived we did not think much of it. That was until they came to our home. When they arrived, we thought them sketchy, but to be honest mostly everyone in Muekina was sketchy. Our parents greeted them, which was odd. Everyone our parents knew we also did. Our parents brought them to an ally on the right side of our home."

Ivory takes a deep breath in and continued. "Our parents came back. This time with a smile on their face and each of them had a bag of coins. Personally, when I saw how genuine their smile was, I thought that maybe our time of being in misery were over. And we would be able to start a new beginning together..." She trails off and looks pensively into nothingness. "Ivory." I say sympathetically. "I'm truly sorry. Now where was I. Ah that's right. Now lets continue.

"Unfortunately, the situation was the opposite of what I hoped. Our parents had sold us to human traffickers. I can still see my parents' face when they took us away; no sense of guilt or sadness. To them we were a ticket out of poverty. Once we were out of our parents sight, they put blind folds around us and tied our hands and feet.

"During the first couple of hours we had no clue what they were planning to take us. Until the cloaked men took off our bondages and blind folds. What we saw were rusty bars on all four sides of us. On the floor of the damp room was a piece of cloth. That was our bed; if can even be called one. As we were placed in confinement, we were contemplating why our parents would do this. The two of us also had the idea that it could be a nightmare. That ideal was cut short. Not by the fact that we slapped each other with tremendous force, but by what the guy in the cloak said; when he came over from the commotion. 'I would recommend you two not mess up your pretty little faces, if you ever want to get out of here. The guys we service prefer clean and beautiful whores. Not ones which cut and pity themselves to death; literally. Heh-heh...' He said the statement with such a casual voice for a moment I thought he might be joking. How stupid that was. The realization was made known by his wicked crackle at the end."

I look over at Seven, she is still hiding her face, and I can hear a minute sob. Honestly all that I've heard up till now is barely sinking in. Even so, I focus back to her story. "After we finally realized we were there till we were sold off was such a shock that I don't remember much of our time there. All I do recall is the fact that we would have rather rotted in the cell than be sold and used as play things. Our wish did not last long. No more than two day later 'he' showed up." Ivory's voice goes deep with anger.

" 'He', whose name is less than dirt, bought us. When we got out of our confinement and travelled to his house, I was so terrified that I don't remember traversing at all. We arrived at his place and the first thing I noticed was knight gear structured on the wall. For an instance I thought we might have been saved, since he was a knight. That ideal was also wiped short. The next thing he did was put us in a hidden cellar towards the farthest back of his house. The room was dimly lit and cold. There were eight chain cuffs on the wall. The cuffs were enough apart that he could immobilize any one of our appendages."

Ivory involuntarily covers her body with her arms and shakes with fear. "I warn you what Im about to tell you gets graphic. If you don't want to hear what he did to us in our time, just let me know." I can tell that she is willing to tell me. However, I believe that she wouldn't say that if she wanted to relive it again. I don't respond right away. "Our first night there 'he' gave us a good meal and let us bathe alone; that would be the only night. Honestly the first night wasn't bad at all. If we weren't slaves of indecency it would have been a step up from where we were from before. Sadly, as you know by now, isn't the case. The following days were... Well..." She chokes up and I look over to see Seven covering her ears. "Well the whole day he made us..." I interrupt her hastily. "Ivory you don't have to tell me the details that hurt you and Seven the most. You can just skip the painful parts and proceed to where Lilith comes in." I look over to Seven and she lifts her head up and mouths the "words thank you." I also look towards Lilith who is unreadable.

Ivory, relieved, continues. "As you wish. We stayed at that hellish place for seven days and nights. Every day was the same routine eat, sleep, and pleasuring. Though the sleep and eating were usually apart of pleasuring. On the eighth day our salvation came. That day our lives changed. 'He' just finished with one of our sessions when there was a knock on the front door. I don't think 'he' expected this visit. When 'he' heard the knock, 'he' gave an infuriated look and before 'he' left to answer told us not to make a sound. I believe 'he' didn't cover our mouths because as a knight he had to keep his knightly persona by being kind and chivalrous. Only if his comrades and the commoners he helped knew the hypocrite 'he' was. So, whenever someone came, 'he' would answer the door quickly and try to get the guest away as fast and generously as possible; therefore, no time to cover our mouths.

" 'He' went up the hidden cellars ladder and we heard the door open in no time. We were surprised at what we heard over the muffled conversation; a female's voice. Above us we could hear the conversation start to die down. I wanted to muster up the little strength I had left to yell, but I couldn't. I had doubts in my mind such as, What if I failed to alert her? What if he hears me and punishes me? I don't want to go through more abuse... Then amid these thoughts I heard Seven speak. A weak voice trying to be heard. Seven was trying to yell, "help." Through all the pain and suffering she was still hopeful of escape. I knew her attempt was futile; she was treated with more force than me. Which yielded to her wanting to escape no matter the cost.

"I saw her determination and hated myself for giving up without thinking about her. I could hear the door closing and without thinking yelled as loud as I could. 'Help!' I could only get that word out before I heard the door click and heavy footsteps coming towards us. Before we knew it 'he' was coming down. By observing 'his' body language I could tell 'he' was enraged. 'He' came down and ran full force at me, not giving Seven a second glance since he deduced that it was my voice. I tried to evade, my chains locked and constricted my range of motion. 'He' lunged on top of me and started what we had been enduring ever since we got there.

I was tired and weak. I gave up with resisting and excepted the fate the gods had bestowed upon me. Surprising me, Seven drawled out the remaining of her energy and screamed at the top of her lungs. He was baffled by the screech and got off me and went over to her. 'He' yelled, "Shut up! You Slut!" and swung his right hand down with vigorous force. I witnessed that day what true power is. A massive gush of wind blew through the cellar door and stopped right in front of him. 'His' hand did not connect with Sevens face, but with the hand of another. Standing with 'his' hand was a female in knights' armor. The same as 'his'. 'He' shrilled in agony. She broke 'his' hand without effort. At this point I was so exhausted from all the abuse and use of a play thing I collapsed from exhaustion. The last thing I remember from the cellar was 'His' hand being crushed like an insect; and of course, 'his' agonizing scream."

Ivory takes a big breath in and gives a look of relief. "I came to, bewildered, and the first thing I notice is the gorgeous starry night. That night was the definition of peace. Not the slightest breeze of wind; only the lovely sounds of wild animals. As you can imagine I was taken aback as well as confused. Once I was done admiring the night sky, I noticed a familiar voice and one not so. I got up on the back of a small cart being dragged by a horse. In front of me were Seven and my savior, best friend, Lilith. After the realization sunk in that I was free I got to know Lilith. I'm not going to say it's been the easiest road. I mean I still have nightmares about the horrors we went through. But I say overall it has been an amazing two years. The end..." She takes an enormous deep breath, followed by an elongated breath out.

Ivory and Sevens story is sinking in slowly. Honestly after hearing the story I have a couple questions about more that took place down the road. Another thought comes to mind. Doesn't this sound like a plot point. Two beautiful girls you'll be traveling with were subjugated to sickening duties. So, it seems like this world wants you to feel bad for these two girls. June, how pitiful; how much more cliched will this world be? I couldn't agree more. I mean don't get me wrong I feel bad for them both. What they went through is inhumane and horrific, but it feels a little forced to me. This trope is over used many times. Even if this is reality and not some light novel or anime... I don't know maybe my own depressed self can't find me to be fully emotionally fit for real people.

I get off my thought and resume being apart of my new reality. "Im terribly sorry that happened to you. And to you too Seven. I could tell that you took the brunt of the assault. I am, however, honored that you would trust me enough to tell me; even with the fact that we just met." I say deep serenity. Seven responds with her usual energetic joyful self. "No pr-ob-lem!" I go to ask Ivory how old they are, although I think I know, when a waitress comes by. She is wearing average waitress attire, consisting of a white under shirt, black vest, and pants. At least her looks aren't average; in a way. If we are talking on basis of anime. It is yet another cliché that the waitress is gorgeous. But based on everyone I've seen from my prior memories and the people in the village she is a ten out of ten.

"How are you folks doing this fine day." She says with a slight country accent. Lilith answers for everyone. "We are doing fine." She says this with an obvious fake smile and a tinge of irritation. What happened to her? I know shes capable of being unfriendly, she did orchestrate a murder, but what did this poor waitress, doing her job, do to her. "We would all like water and for food..." She tilts her head "...We would like whatever's your specialty." "Okay I will bring everything to Y'all shortly." She gives a genuine smile and meets my gaze. My cheeks flush and I smile back. Im flummoxed to see a slight look of disgust when I return the smile. Ah that's right I have below average looks. Well I've now confirmed that I also look the same. Now I'm more depressed. Don't worry too much about it at least you're with three beauties that don't seem to mind your subpar looks. Thanks... I guess.

The waitress walks back to prepare our order. My opinion of her has changed. Maybe that's why Lilith was on the offense. Lilith could have known her dirty personality. Thinking that shes better than everyone else. What just because shes pretty? She thinks she can look down on people less attractive than herself. Personality is what matters anyway. Good looking people make me irritated. Only when they don't acknowledge you in a positive light. Right? Yeah Maybe. Urgh, why are you asking me anyway? You know the answer just as well as I do. You're me! "Urgh!" Well since I'm you I recommend we calm down a little bit. What do you mean by? Lilith notices my overreaction, "June don't worry about her. She acts all nice and perfect. The truth is, though, she looks down on anyone who she considers below her standards. She most likely didn't even mean to show you a look of disgust. But because you are very observant you noticed. So, don't take it personally. And if that doesn't make you feel better, I think you are very... Um... Attractive." Her last words trailed off to a faint whisper.

Im at a loss. Did she really call me attractive? This is a complete one-eighty from her personality from when I first met her to the short time we've spent together. I wonder if she was like this when the me from the past knew her. And now that Im thinking about it again, wasn't this my entire reason for coming here? To fill the time gap in my brain. "Thank..." "Lilith what is with this sudden change? Is someone in l-o-v-e?" How many times am I going to be interrupted? I also blush from this accusation.

Lilith's face turns a deep shade of red. "Seven I definitely do not... lo... lov..." "He-he I knew you treated him differently from other men ever since you found out his identity." Seven says with a mischievous giggle. "Lilith there is no reason to be embarrassed it is normal for girls our age to fall in love. Do not let Seven get under your skin." I stay silent, still, in all that a girl is in love with me. Im just... Concerned with how fast this development is going? Exactly. Even in crappy anime there is at least some type of connection. Ah, but there is a connection between the two of you. While this may be true, I have no recollection of the me from the past. So, your suggesting she loves the old you. Precisely, think about it, she was on the verge of killing me. I just happened to call out her name. And what, we've talked for no more than a few minutes total. Even as we think, we have had the minimalist of conversations. Now she supposedly loves me. No, I don't accept it. It is too good to be true. There must be more of a connection between the me she knows know and not the me from the past. Especially since I don't have any recollection of the time during or, a couple of years, after the incident. How did the me from back then live like this? You are overthinking this too much. Why don't we just accept her affection? Who knows you might even get your first kiss. I stop me right there. Even I, a depressed otaku, have certain ways I want love to be. Whatever that's our loss.

"Yeah whatever." I say in a babyish voice to mock my inner self. "Lilith wasn't like totes lying when she said you talked to yourself." Did she say totes? I thought only girls in B-movies said that. But never mind that. How much has Lilith told these two about me? "Ah, yeah sorry about rambling on. Talking aloud to myself helps me think." "Well since you're not alone why don't you share what you're thinking with us?" Seven says pushing me to spill what I was just thinking. Trust me I don't think you want to know. "Does it happen to pertain to Lilith?" Ivory makes an accurate remark. But its not like I can come out and say what I was thinking. Since its not the most positive response. "Okay then. Just remember you forced me to tell you." I see all the girls eyes light up; even Lilith's. Maybe we got their hopes up a little too much. It especially concerns Lilith. Yeah same. I hope she doesn't hope for a return of her feelings.

"Well..." "Just spill it already." Seven interrupts for the thousandth time. This might be a hyperbole, but sheesh I wish I could speak without her intervention. "...I was thinking of how Im going to enjoy adventuring and bringing bad men to justice." Wow that's more cringe worthy than I thought it was going to be. All three of them look at me in shock. Hah I bet they were expecting a response to the, somewhat, confession. Seven speaks; not surprising. "We are flattered to have you tag along with us." She starts to get overly excited. "Eeh this is getting my blood pumping. What's it going to be like with a guy on our team?! Is he going to fall for one of us?! Or all of us!? Will he and Lilith have a happy ending, or will he reject her!?" She ends panting heavily.

Ivory must have seen my reaction and says, "Do not worry about Seven she always gets excited when something interesting happens." Ivory looks over to Lilith and then to Seven. "Seven I think it is about times to give these love birds some time alone." "What?" Lilith and I say at the same time. Except with two very different tones. Mine was in denial; actual denial of the term "love birds." While, on the other hand, Lilith's was in denial; when she adores the term. I'm blushing from embarrassment. Shes blushing from an accurate representation of what she wants. Now Im not saying I wouldn't like to be romantically involved with someone. I just don't know her enough as of this moment.

Ivory and Seven start to get up, when I realize I have a ton more questions for them. "Wait Ivory I have more questions for the two of you." She gives me a tepid response. "Questions can wait." "Then what about the food we ordered." Seven responds, "June cant you read the mood?" I shrug my shoulders in more embarrassment. The two of them walk off and its only me and Lilith. Shes looking down. Then I look down. We then look back up at the same time and make awkward contact. We do this for around two minutes. I've had enough of the awkwardness. "Lilith, I think its about time that we..." The waitress comes by with our food. Oh, my goodness, another interruption! "Here's Yawl's food." She gives that million-dollar smile. Albeit hiding her true snobby personality. She puts down four drinks of water and the specialty. To me it looks like a weird type of meat with brown sauce. Thanks to my memories I figure out the specialty is BBQ boar meat; It smells super good.

"Where are the two other folks you were with?" She looks over to Lilith, she doesn't respond, then to me. "Um yeah they left just before you brought the food." She looks at me with prying eyes. Does my answer not suffice? Whatever we do we should not give her the satisfaction of knowing why they left. She needs to mind her own business. I couldn't agree more. However, her alluring presence won't allow me not to go deeper into the topic. Crap Im about to break. We got this don't give up yet! I look down trying to break eye contact, but she doesn't budge. Come on lady don't you have other customers to attend. I can't help it and gaze into her eyes. They are deep, dark, brown and seductive.

"They left to give me and Lilith a chance to catch up on things." I say with haste. She looks over at Lilith and gives a tiny giggle. I can tell she knows the whole situation. She wastes no time to mess with Lilith. I knew right after she saw Lilith's flushed cheeks the next events were set in motion. She takes the seat on my right, where Seven was sitting, and says, "What luck; Y'all were my last table before I got a fifteen-minute break. And since there is extra food, Im sure you wont mind me eating with Y'all. Will ya?" She looks towards Lilith with a stuck-up grin. Lilith doesn't answer. Again, she looks my way. My hormone filled teenage body can't take her mature look. "Yeah sure I don't mind. If you don't?" I look towards Lilith for the latter part. She looks to her bottom right and gives a slight nod and a "Humph."

"That settles it then. Now Lilith how did you two meet?" June, June, June were in for it now. Only if I was your main personality and source of reason. I know my conscious is right, yet again. Lilith fiddles with her hands and responds, "Well we've known each other since we were kids. I guess you could say we are childhood friends. But, the last couple of years we haven't seen each other. So, here we are now." The waitress doesn't seem satisfied with the brief summary. "And?" "Um... Well there's not much else; which is why were trying to catch up." Lilith ends with attitude. There's no doubt the waitress didn't notice it. She does and acts accordingly. "My gods after that long of not seeing each other." The love that the two of you had when you were young must be coming back strong. Am I right?" Her whole demeanor is mockingly sarcastic.

Lilith is pissed. Her cheeks go blood red and her brows narrow. "Oh, I see. Im sorry to pry, I was just curious to know about your young love; Li-lith." As she says this, she scoots closer to me with each passing sentence. Lilith's face grows more tense. "What about you... Um?" "Ah, sorry my names June." "No worries I should have asked sooner." She becomes even more alluring the more she speaks. Her chair is now touching the side of my chair. I look back to Lilith and I can feel the same killing intent as before; I believe it's even stronger. "My names Sabrina." She leans in and wraps her arms around me. "Oh, my gods I cant believe how cute ya are." What a witch, lying without an ounce of guilt. My conscious is cut short. She squeezes too hard and I can feel her maturity all over my overly sensitive body. Not to mention she smells amazing. She smells of a flower field on a warm spring day. The scent of a goddess; what I imagine a goddess would smell like.

Im sweating profusely. I hope they have a decent hygiene system here. I know that she is trying to make Lilith jealous. However, the question is why? I was informed of her vain personality, how she looked down on everyone "lesser" than her. Still that doesn't explain the way she acts towards Lilith. It's almost as if shes trying to be better again. Ha that's it. What's it? Don't play dumb you know good and well. Your absolutely right and to answer your next answer I completely agree with your judgement. My face lights up. Sabrina's face also grows. Just not for the same reasons. She is satisfied because she believes she is taking Lilith's man; me. While Im satisfied with the fact of figuring out how to deal with this cliched heroine. I look towards Lilith. To me she looks defeated. Perfect.

Sabrina continues to spout nonsense about how cute I am and how she wants to eat me up. I have a hard time controlling my laughter. But this works to my advantage. To them it looks like Im being embarrassed by all the flattering. Here it comes. I release the laughter I worked so hard to contain. "Ha-ha-ha!" "Im making you happy aren't I." She gives her knock out seductive look again. Lilith still looks like shes in defeat. Although usually people in defeat don't let out a killing intent severe enough to make a grown man shit himself.

"Oh, heh-heh, Sabrina how right you are." Sabrina gives a victorious look; a look rightful for victory only if. And Lilith looks in awe; a look that should be used amid defeat. "June..." Lilith's voice sounds so devoid of happiness it gets me off kilter. No time for this. I ignore her plea and continue looking at Sabrina. "I'm glad how about tonight I give you a private order that only 'special' people receive" She licks her lips. My heart beats faster, but I manage to ignore the comment. "You know what Sabrina..." Before I say the rest, I take a quick glimpse at Lilith and I see the tiniest tears well up in her eyes. "...Girls like you make me want to kill myself." The elephant in the room goes off with major commotion.

Sabrina, clinging to me, blinks once, twice, thrice, before releasing her seductive hold. I can feel her true self about to show. "June I must have misheard you, or something. Instead of saying I make you want to die You really meant that I'm so special you would die for me." She reastablishes her composure and twirls her hair. "Nope you heard correctly..." I say with confidence and a deep persona of masculinity. I didn't know we could be this cool. Don't say things like that. Trust me I'm having a hard time keeping up the tough guy act. "Girls like you really do make me want to go... Keck. I take my finger across my neck and swipe; while my tongue sticks out and my eyes roll back. To show the action of my throat being slit. Sabrina's perfect persona farce crumbles.

"You-you-you Mother F-!" Sabrina that's a bad word. But thank goodness you snapped like this. Let the domino effect begin. My face reeks embarrassment, but my pride roars more than it has my whole life. Is this the feeling of success. And when my parents told me anime and light novels were a waste of life. If only they could see me now.

I give a quick wink to Lilith and her morose demeanor shatters. She gives a genuine sense of happiness and her killing intent starts to recede. After Sabrina said the F-bomb she manages to throw in a few more cuss words. "My, my Sabrina what is with this sudden change in personality?" I give personality a little kick with my vocals. Sabrina is about to make more of a scene. I stop her right before she makes even more of a condescending move. I lean in to her left ear, before she can react to push me away. The funny thing is mere minutes ago she was all over me. "I wouldn't try to cause any more of a scene. Who knows, if more is said you might mess up your perfect image." She goes stiff and listens to the rest without resistance. "Sabrina to be honest, when I first saw you, I thought of you as every other man; pure and attractive. That was until I saw that disgusted face you gave me when I returned eye contact. You might ask how?" She nods her head slightly. "To answer that I've been told Im very observant. So, your sleekness wasn't very effective." Sabrina gulps and I can feel Lilith's eyes; along with the eyes of everyone in the Inn. "I don't know what is going on between you and Lilith... Ah wait, that's it. Could it be that you're jealous of Lilith?" Her breathing changes slightly. If I remember anything from taking psychology, in my junior year, I believe that a change in breathing is a sign of... Nope, don't remember, but lets say hypothetically it does; It makes me sound cooler. I guess... I ignore myself and get back to my intimidation tactics.

"Looks like I hit the bullseye. Let me go a little deeper into your jealousy. You Are Jealous Because She Gets More Attention Than You." I say the words with weight and once again her breathing changes. "It might seem that you get more men ogling at you, but you're very perceptive when it comes to your hierarchy. And because of that you realize that more men give Lilith the eye. Moreover, after all of the 'things' you do for these men. For what? Why would you retort to being nothing more than a plaything? To beat Lilith. In my opinion your wasting great potential for something as trivial as being popular. I also don't know what has gone on between the two of you in the past. But as someone who knows the real you, I suggest you stop these antics and get on with your unfulfilling life. You know you should too." I hang my breath around her ear; to add a menacing, but heartfelt affect. I slowly start to move away from my ear and when I do, Im surprised at what I see.

Sabrina sitting with her arms hanging aimlessly by her side, her face placid, has streams of tears running down her face. I was expecting a slap to the face or at least more name calling. For example, "You, filthy pig never come back here again." At least I believe that is what would have happened in an anime. However, Im witnessing the opposite. She finally gets up, slowly. She doesn't even bother to wipe her tears. She starts to walk towards the kitchen area near the bar. As she walks, she doesn't give a single glance back. Everyone in the Inn is silent. Then, as Sabrina gets fully enveloped by the kitchen, all the patrons start to whisper and gossip about, I guess, what just transpired.

I sigh in relief. Damn when did you become so cool. I ponder the same thing. During the conversation I did sound insanely awesome. Didn't I? Yes, Insanely. Thank goodness all the time I used watching anime and reading light novels came in handy. I notice Lilith looking my way. Her expression is that of a child who just won the jackpot from a ticket machine. I blush and ask nervously, "Wh-what is it?" She stares for a couple seconds and replies, "Sorry it is just... How do I put it?... You seem different?" "Hmm?" "Not in a bad way or anything. Its just you seem more confident in yourself. You were always shy and timid. To state frankly you seem like a different person." As she speaks, she waves her arms frantically trying not to make me think of her observation as negative. I give a gleaming smile, "Thanks that means a lot. I've been working hard to get out of my shell." Albeit literally when I came to the Inn. Some people say a person can't change easily. I agree whole hearted, but I also think when the situation calls for it, like being transported to another world, it isn't as hard to spread your wings.

Lilith puts hear glistening hair behind her ear and says, "Im glad to hear that." My heart skips a beat. Dammit this crappy love plot is moving too quickly. Why are you complaining? I already told how, even though Im depressed, I have the perfect love setting envisioned. I can tell y- I mean me right now that I want a love that blossoms over time. Love isn't something controlled. I know. I go back to reality in defeat. "Okay then now that fiascos over with lets get back to the main reason for coming here." Lilith's face goes back to how it was when I first saw her. "You're right. No more procrastinating." To be honest I'm nervous with what she's going to tell me. I mean it cant be so bad, since I didn't live it. "Im prepared so give it all to me." She looks into my eyes with disdain. "D-did I say something wrong." Her face is awfully serious to the point of scary.

"Like I mentioned before, I won't be telling you what happened. I will only be giving you the key to open the door to your locked memories." "Wait locked!" She looks off to her side then back to me. She grabs a thin silver bracelet, with a dark green orb in the center, off her left arm. I don't know how I didn't notice such an ominous object before. "This is the key." "If I may ask what makes that bracelet special; the key?" "The magic I'm going to use to activate your lost memories requires a seer." Oh, if I remember correctly a seer is an item that is very precious to an individual and eventually forms memories of its own. "I think I get the picture now. But I still don't understand why you can't tell me?" She moves her body in one swift motion and says, "I'll explain everything when you come back."

Before I can react, the silver bracelet engulfs me in light and- "June, June, June!" I blink a couple of times and when my vision comes into focus, I see a kid; a girl to be exact. Her cheeks are puffed, and she looks irritated. She has golden-brown eyes and emerald-green eyes. "Lilith?" My voice, its not deep, it's... I'm a kid again. Lilith looks confused, "Yes silly, where were you just now?" She blinks with concern. "I... I don't know I guess I zoned out and-" "Who cares about the past lets go. We are going to be late."

I haven't even noticed the monstrous size school entrance in front of me. I've figured it out. This must be how the magic works. This magic allows me to see what was once there. This must be the day when the unspeakable horrific event happened; the event referred to as 'that.'

A little tidbit "Stochock" is one of my many pen names.
