Chapter 37 : Dreams

# I may go back and edit the previous chapter… IF I HAD NOT PUT 12 hours into p5s. It's a good dynasty warrior type game. I wonder if koei tecmo just doesn't have a good concept for games or P5 is just that good as a concept for hack and slash. Anyway onwards to the chapter.

"White-wolf, this way."

Hmmm I heard someone called out Yu's nickname. As I see Yu along with Nanako and Haruka are here.

"Yu! What are Yu doing here"

"Akira-nii, that's just bad." - said haruka worryingly.

"I found Kanji earlier today, so I was home early."

"We wanted to buy groceries" added Nanako

"Izanami-nee had a counseling session today, so I had to do the groceries." - Said Yu.

So, he saved Kanji, and is now out for food, hmmm his training must have paid off as he is now able to walk around normally even after sometime inside the TV world.

"Ah, Narukami-kun, who are these?"

"Hideyoshi-san, this are my little sisters, Haruka-chan and Nanako-chan"

"Hello/Hi"

"Aren't you two the cutest in the world!?"

Nanako simply hides behind Yu as she is shy around new people, haruka on the other hand seems more interested in showbiz.

"Hideyoshi-nee, are those idols?"

"Ah yes, and I'm a boy Haruka."

Hideyoshi is Hideyoshi, don't lie to my little sisters.

"What are they doing?" I can see stars in Haruka's eyes.

"We're just wrapping up the shoot, we have been doing this the whole day. Do you want to meet them?"

"Umu!" Haruka hurriedly nodded her head, as she grabbed Nanako and went with Hideyoshi to meet the idols.

"So, did you tell Uncle Ryo you found Kanji-kun?"

"Yep."

"Your training seems to do wonders, as now even after getting high, you don't look tired at all."

Yu shivers for some reason before looking like a dead fish, I wonder why.

"Hahaha" only a nervous chuckle escapes his mouth.

"Ah, Director! Thank you for your hard work."

Hmmm what's this. A new idol it seems, she had green double bun hair. It looks cute honestly. As she greeted me and Yu. she seemed younger than me, I wonder if she's just a middle school student.

"The pleasure is all mine. Though I am not a director."

"Not yet perhaps but look at this!"

As she cheerfully showed her phone towards me. The screen is displaying news that's just been uploaded.

With a picture of me pummeling someone, wait wasn't this just 30 minutes ago. They sure work fast.

"Hahaha" now is my turn to chuckle, "So, who are you again?"

"Mou! My name's Alice Hiragi, the next [Breakout Japan] idol! "

"Well do your best Hiragi-chan."

She simply nods, and before long she is being called by another staff member. As Hiragi-chan said [Breakout Japan] is Uncle Majima and Hideyoshi's big project. The first season is in the Kansai region. From what I heard from the staff, more than a million entries from all over Japan for the Female Idol bracket and about afew ten thousand or so for the male side. The competitions are fierce from what I heard. And Alice seems to be one of the top 100 contestants. I can't begin to fathom the work needed to sort out a thousand entries. Not to mention a million.

Not long after, Hideyoshi walks back towards us carrying both Nanako and Haruka whose both smiles, as another Idol is accompanying them.

"Nii-san meet Rise, she'll soon stay at Inaba, isn't that awesome?" - Haruka excitedly told me as she points towards Rise, who just greets us like before, with a professional smile and enthusiasm.

"Please take care of me maou-sama."

"Yu, she's all yours."

Rise flinches at my words.

"HAHAHAHAHA! No not that, I'm saying that if you ever need anything find Yu. he's more of a people's person than me. The name's Akira Dojima, or as you would most likely have heard, [Demon king of Osaka], and this is Yu, my sworn brother, the [White wolf of Inaba]."

Rise relaxes a bit, but is still cautious more than anything.

"Where will you be staying?" - Yu asks

"I'll be helping my grandma's tofu store just down this road."- answers Rise.

"Tofu? Oh yeah we're going to get those for dinner, let's go to Rise-nee's store." Haruka urges as she pulls the sleeve of my shirt, seemingly wanted to spend more time with Rise.

I looked at Hideyoshi, who was still on his notebook jolting something down.

"Hideyoshi, I'll borrow Rise for a moment."

"Sure, I'll bring the car towards her place later."

"You want to stay for dinner?"

"Thanks for the offer maou-sama but we're still working, maybe next time."

We walk following rise's direction towards her grandma's house.

"Grandma!"

"Rise-chan look at how big you've grown!"

"I miss you Grandma! How's the shop lately?"

"It's been OK, but we could always use some extra hands. And who are these Rise-chan? Someone from work?"

"Nice to meet you mam, we are Rise's friends." Yu said almost immediately.

"Ah! I see, thank you for taking care of Rise all this time."- replied her grandmother.

"NO! granma, we've just met !"- a flustered Rise quickly corrected. What's this? Love at first sight?

"HAHAHA! Kids these days. So what are you doing here today, I thought you'd be here by the end of the week not today."

"My work suddenly asked me to shoot a short announcing my break, so here I am grandma."

"Oh, that reminds me Rise, your things have arrived earlier, they're in your room. If you had time to spare can you help me dry this tofu?"

"Of course " - Rise immediately went and helped her grandma, wearing an apron on top of her idol clothes. As she went towards the back of the shop with Nanako and Haruka following her helping her carry some of the tofu.

"So what do you think of Rise?" her grandma asked Yu.

"She's a fine lady ma'm."

"Oooh you don't have to be too stiff around me White wolf."

She said that while giving off killing intent. The pressure she is giving off is also nothing to scoff at, although being lighter compared to Isshin and Father-in-law. Damn. Are old people all hidden masters in this world?

"Of course ma'am." although with some hardships, Yu managed to squeeze out some words.

"Good, if I meet that old fool Isshin I'll tell him to at least double your training, your current training is too light, and won't give you improvements."

Yu shudders at the thought of doubling previous training

"T - thank you mam!"

"Good, so what about you maou-sama, what brings you here?"

As now she directed her pressure to me.

"We're buying tofu." I just replied normally.

"What kind of tofu do you want?" sharp, I suddenly felt the air itself have sharpened.

"What do you recommend ma'am? I don't usually do groceries. Haha"

"Hmmm, if you're about to cook miso, I would recommend a medium regular tofu. It's denser than silken tofu, ideal for soups ---"

"Then we'll take them."

I paid for the tofu. The pressure she left off didn't ever stop, such tenacity. As we heard steps coming to the shop, the pressure finally dissipated.

"I'm done grandma!"

"Thank you Rise-chan. Are you staying here tonight?"

"No, I still have work to do until saturday."

"Ooh I see it's a shame."

"Don't worry Grandma, I'll be helping the store in no time."

"Hahaha, it is as you say."

As Rise finished helping her Grandmother, she left her apron by the counter and prepared to leave along with us.

"Yu, escort Rise back to Hideyoshi would you? It's getting late, I'm going back first to cook."

"Waga Maou" Yu said as he bowed with his hand cupped into his fist and got down on his knee. Damn, wrong reference man.

I got back home with Nanako and Haruka who's already tired from playing all day. By the time we arrived back home, Nanako and Haruka fell asleep on the living room sofa.

I started cooking alone. While thinking about Haruka, since she's going to live here, I've got to go to Nanako's elementary school to register Haruka too huh. Or maybe I could ask Uncle Ryo to do that. Although he is usually busy. Where's that stupid brother of mine when I needed him the most.

"I'm back"

"Welcome back Izanami. And ssh quiet down, they're sleeping" as I point towards the sofa.

"Ooh sorry. Hehe."

"So how's your day?"

"Nothing big, It seems that I need to find what I want to do in the future"

So that's what's keeping Izanami at school huh.

"So what do you want to do?"

I ask her while I continue preparing the meal.

"I wanted to be with you, nothing else matters to me."

She whispers softly in my ear as she wears her apron and helps me cook.

"Did you say that to the teachers?"

"Yes."

"I can imagine you get a mouthful after that."

"Hahaha, you're right. And they're going to scold me some more hence the delay today."

I can already feel your pain oh Izanami's classroom teacher.

"What did you do to convince them to let you come home?"

"I told them I wanted to learn more about humanity."

"Hmmm that's interesting."

"It is, apparently there's a new project my teacher is involved in. It's About [Cognitive Psience]. She wanted me to be her co-researcher and help her out starting next year."

Huh?

"Hey what's with the shocked face?" asked Izanami worriedly.

"What's the name of your teacher?"

"Well she's not a teacher per-se. She's a researcher who came to my school to do research in exchange, she teaches advanced subjects like chemistry and psychology. Her name is Wakaba Isshiki."

"Fuck."
