Where the hell did that magic circle take me?

After the magic circle lit up, I saw myself in a new location currently standing on a large expanse of land filled with grasses with the gentle breeze blowing around giving me a feeling of calmness and the air was filled with vitality.

"Wow, what a beautiful scene. It looks like it just came out of a movie but what is this place?

The circle I stepped on earlier is what teacher calls a teleportation circle but who drew it there and left it and why" these were the questions I asked myself but I had no answer to them.

"Thankfully it's a two way teleportation circle, if not I would be in deep shit right now. Let me take a look around and take in more of the scenery" I said to myself looking at a similar circle under my feet.

I walked for what seemed like fifteen kilometers before I saw some creatures at a distance. I boosted my speed and ran towards them but before I could get to them, the sky darkened and I could hear the sound of wings flapping.

I looked up to see what creature it was and I saw a huge bird which almost looked like a phoenix we usually see in movies but the difference was that this particular bird was not red and it had no flames on it. Even though the bird was very hidden in the clouds. I could still make out its shape from its massive shadow.

" What kind of creature is this and how did it get here?" more questions left with no answers.

What I heard next was a shriek and the sound of thunder booming in the sky.

"Sh*t is that a f**king thunderbird? Where the hell did that magic circle take me to?" I screamed internally.

Remember when I said that nothing can make me lose my cool, well I lied because my cool just went through the roof.

The thunderbird was still in the air, I kept my mouth shut trying not to make any sound even though the bird seemed to have sensed something off. It immediately came out of the clouds and looked at me with eyes filled with curiosity.

It flapped its wings which made thunder sound,it landed at a distance and immediately a massive gust of wind swept towards me threatening to knock me off my feet. It looked at me with the same look of curiosity and it cawed and walked towards me cautiously.

It was now at a close distance and I could see it clearer. The thunderbird was very huge and as little as I am, it was twice my height.

Its white dove-like feathers covered it body, it had two sets of wings, one which was very broad and wife and the other set looked small. Golden lightning could be seen snaking around its body all the way to its talon. It had something that looked like a horn on its head. I couldn't quite describe it because it was way taller than me and I had to raise my head to look at it very well even though it was at a distance of ten feet from me.

It was now standing very close to me, if we were the same height we would literally be face to face right now.

It bent down and lied on its belly looking at me with curiosity.

"..... It's not attacking me or anything, it seems to have never come in contact with humans before.

The look of naivety and curiosity in its eyes is adorable and it has no hostile intentions towards me." I said to myself internally after analyzing the situation I was in.

I raised my hand slowly to touch its head and to see its reaction. It moved its head away from me but it didn't stand up. I brought my hand back and waited till it brought it head closer to me before raising my hand to touch it and this time I succeeded.

It's been two hours since the magic circle lit up and the guards were still waiting for Edward.

They were already sweating on their hands and feet.

"The young master has been gone for some time now and we don't know where that big circle took him to. He just stepped on it and he disappeared. I don't know what to tell Madam when we get back home." One of the guards said.

"Stupid Hughes, do you really dare to go home without the young master?

Have you forgotten what she did to us the other day when we came back home with injuries and the young master was exhausted? If you have forgotten let me f**king remind you. She dragged us by our ear from the main hall to the courtyard and she made us carry fifty kilograms of stone fifty times from one end of the courtyard to another and the courtyard was twenty yards". The other guard replied to the second guard whose name is Hughes.

"Marron, please don't remind me about that. It makes me weak in the knees whenever I remember it.

We actually have no choice but to stay here and wait for him to come back." Hughes said, trembling slightly as he remembers the punishment he received the last time they intruded on the territory of a ferocious magical beast.

"True but I hope he comes back fast because if he takes too long. Lord Reiss will dispatch the guards to sweep out this forest and if it happens we are done for" Marron added

Hughes and Marron trembled visibly as they visionalize the Lord of the mansion leading the guards in an expedition to search for his child.

While the two guards were being traumatized, Edward was high up in the sky feeling the fast wind on his face. He is currently on the back of the white thunderbird and it seems like it is taking him somewhere.

After Edward touched the thunderbird head, its eyes glowed golden briefly but it was not noticed by Edward. The bird brought it head down until it almost touched the ground and cawed at Edward like it was asking him to climb onto it.

"Huh, you want me to sit on your back" Edward asked it

" Coo.. coo" the bird cawed again in agreement.

" Okay, here I come. Please don't throw me to the ground and crush me under your big body" he said as he cautiously climbed onto the back of the bird.

Immediately the thunderbird stood up straight and took flight into the sky to an unknown location. The speed at which the bird was flying was unimaginable, Edward is very sure that the set military aircraft and a fastest train on Earth don't have one-third of its speed.

They have traveled for about one thousand kilometers now and they have come across different types of ground and aerial creatures.

This place seems to be filled with only magical beasts, no wild beast could be seen.

Everytime the thunderbird comes across a magical beast, it would caw and then would look at it before they start following it.

We now have hordes of magical beasts following us. If they were to be released into the Kingdom of Ameria, it would be flattened in seconds.

"Why are they following us, is it because of me or is something happening that I don't know about.

No matter what happens as long as I'm safe then I'm good." Edward said to himself comfortingly.

I tried asking the bird to see if I could get any answer from it but proved impossible because I couldn't understand what it was saying as it cawed everytime I asked it.

We kept flying and the hordes of magical beasts kept following us without slowing down. They kept a distance of five feet from us and they maintained it until now.

Up ahead I could see some small floating islands with waterfalls cascading down from them. The closer we got, the bigger the islands got. When we were at a distance of forty kilometers, the islands were so big that I couldn't see the top anymore even from the top of the bird.

We flew past the floating islands and continued until a massive structural edifice came into view. I could swear that the building covered the whole of Ameria to tell you how big it was

When we were at a close distance, the thunderbird slowed down before landing on the ground in front of the building and the magical beast behind us did the same. I alighted from the thunderbird and looked at the building but I couldn't see it clearly but could only catch glimpses of it. There was a massive flight of stairs ahead, the end of it I couldn't see.

"Wow, so big and beautiful. How do we get to the building? Don't tell me we need to climb these stairs first?" I asked myself.

The thunderbird cawed at me and nudged me with its head. I looked at it, pointed at myself then pointed at the stairs and it answered by nodding its head.

It nudged me again. I took a deep breath and took my first step, immediately my two legs touched the step. My vision changed and I felt a massive pressure that threatened to make me fall face flat to the ground pressed down on me.

In front of me was a beautiful female elf looking at me with her deep green eyes.
