63 Erina's Challenge

"Hayato... you've become an old man!"

"Take a look at yourself first Senzaemon before saying that!" 

And then the two laughed loudly at the same time. Hayato stood up from the sofa and then he greeted Senzaemon with a bear hug.

"It's been decades since we last met brother!" Hayato smiled at Senzaemon

"Yeah! Time really flies! Without realizing it, we both became old!" 

While the old ones were talking, the teenagers were looking at each other. Miu was first to say. 

"H-hello! Nice to meet you guys.." With all honesty, she was pretty nervous and shy.

Alice was the most open person in this room, so she greeted Miu with a smile. "Hi! Hi! Nice to meet you!"

Seeing Alice was easy to get along with, Miu smiled and started to talk with her. As Alice was good with conversation, she talked naturally with Miu.

While Hito and Erina were having a staring contest. After a few moments Hito decided to talk.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Tadano Hitohito. Would you give me the pleasure of knowing your name, beautiful lady?"

'Oh no...I didn't ask for this.' Hito thought, however he decided to learn it anyways Cough- for future purposes.

He decided to upgrade it to Prodigy grade, however he accidentally upgraded it to Monster!

Oh sh*t….

"Eh? Uhmm…  nice to meet you I guess?"

As Hito opened his mouth and talked, all kinds of sweet words assaulted Erina. He totally didn't do it on purpose!

It was like an instinct to him, there was no way he could stop it! 

Erina's cold heart started to beat faster and faster and she thought 'What is this?! T-this guy he is totally flirting with me right?! B-but… it isn't so bad..'

The more they talked the more Erina blushed. Hito wanted to cry but there weren't any tears in his eyes.

Finally Senzaemon noticed that Hayato wasn't the only one who came here, he asked. 

"Those 2 kids, who are they?"

"Oh, that girl with blonde hair is my granddaughter and her name is Miu. As for the boy, he is a disciple of my Dojo! You can call him Hito."

Senzaemon nodded, but then he suddenly noticed that Erina, who was usually cold to everyone, was giggling while talking with Hito.

'This kid… how the heck is he doing that?' Senzaemon thought. He didn't stop it though as he thought that it's better this way.

He even encouraged Hito in his heart so that Erina would finally be open to everyone again.

But then suddenly Hayato said. "Oh I almost forgot, that boy, he said that he wanted to exchange knowledge with you regarding cooking."

"Oh? Is he good at cooking?" Senzaemon asked.

"Good at cooking? Haha! He is even better than you!" Hayato said honestly. The last time he ate Senzaemon's dishes, weres a few decades ago.

So naturally he'd say Hito was a lot better than Senzaemon. Hearing that Senzaemon couldn't keep his calm anymore!

He knew that he's brother doesn't like to lie, he never once did especially when it came to his dishes.

He looked at Hito in a different light, and thought 'Then this kid… is a Prodigy at cooking?' 

Senzaemon decided to talk with Hito, so he looked at his brother and said. "I'm going to talk with that kid. If what you said is true then it's more the reason why he should join my school! Totsuki!"

Hayato nodded, as he gently stroked his beard, thus the two of them went to Hito.

While Hito was talking with Erina. He tried his hardest not to flirt. Why? It's because Erina was almost overloaded!

Her face was so red that it could be compared to the reddest of tomatoes. Hito was amazed and fearful of this skill.

If he couldn't control it... didn't it mean that he'll flirt with anyone while talking?! Every skill he had to first adapt before upgrading them to Monster, however… this was really a mistake.

It would take him a while so that he wouldn't unconditionally flirt with anyone! Especially a girl.

"Kid, I heard you want to exchange knowledge with me in cooking?" 

Hito stopped talking with Erina and his attention was shifted to Senzaemon.

Temporarily, his flirting skill deactivated, as his eyes were burning with fighting spirit. He wanted to challenge Senzaemon into a cooking match!

Hito slowly realized that the skills would slowly affect his personality if they were upgraded to Monster grade.

He looked at Senzaemon with a serious expression. "Senzaemon Oji-san, let's have a cooking Match!"

Hearing his declaration. Miu was surprised! While Alice and Erina were shocked.

They knew exactly how capable their grandfather was! His achievement in the gourmet world wasn't something that a teenager like Hito could think of!

They thought that Hito was being arrogant! Erina once again changed her opinion about Hito, her attitude turned cold, if it was about cooking she took it too seriously.

The previous good impression about Hito turned bad. Cooking wasn't easy and it would never be!

Senzaemon was surprised at Hito's sudden challenge, but he was even more surprised to see Hito's absolute confidence about this match.

True Hayato said that Hito was even better than Senzaemon, but what Hayato meant was the Senzaemon from 20 years ago!

He was interested… he touched his beard and finally said.

"Fine, I accept. I'll see how good you are."

"Grandfather?!" Erina was shocked to hear that her grandfather casually accepted a teenager's challenge!

Alice was equally surprised, but her smart brain started to analyze, and finally got a conclusion.

'Grandpa doesn't usually accept any challenge from anyone… however since he accepted, it means that this guy has the capability to match those top chefs!' 

The more she thought about it the more she felt that it was incredible, she couldn't help but think… how old is he?!

Even she and a well known Genius like Erina, couldn't hold a candle against Senzaemon, if it was about cooking.

Yet a nameless guy actually has gotten the qualifications to challenge her grandfather!

Hito couldn't help but grin, he originally thought that Senzaemon would refuse his challenge, but who would have thought that he accepted it so casually, just like that!

But then suddenly Erina shouted. "No! You aren't qualified to challenge my grandfather!"

Hito shrugged, and replied. "Why would you think so?"

Erina greeted her teeth, and said. "Challenge me! If you can beat me then I'll accept that you're qualified."

Hito looked at her, and scratched his head. "Okay…. If that makes you happy I'll do it."

Erina blushed a little, but then it quickly disappeared as soon as it appeared.

"I'll show you that you are nothing!"
