'Why… Pandora?' Vol asked the Fragment the question inside his head, barely summoning up the energy to do so. 'Why would it assist our efforts, if it doesn't wish to respond to our orders?'

"It didn't do it to please you, Vessel. It did it to please itself. These monsters might not obey you, but for the most part, they are unlikely to attack you. They recognize that you are the one who summoned them. They would find no special pleasure in your demise. The suffering of the humans around you, however… That is a different story. And this is a different kind of suffering. The kind that only a creature of human intelligence can begin to inflict," Pandora said, speaking as if she understood everything there was to know about the monster.
