"How can the Academy be so devious?" Angel was unsettled.
"Yes, the Academy is devious, but who said I am from there?" Teresa stated, pausing briefly before continuing to move.
"Weren't you fighting as a mage guard or something?" I asked.
"Don't be foolish, boy. Can the Academy achieve powers like mine? I was at the Academy... yes. As a guard... no. To kill or waste you... DEFINITELY YES!!! HA-HA-HA-HA-HAA, now DIEEEE!!!"
Right in front of us, she veered around into a snake, which started charging at us. We ran and started sprinting.
"She isn't a guard there?" I asked.
"That's what she declared just now." We were just running to avoid her.
"You can't outrun me. This is MY WORLD. You should stand still; it can be easier for us and less exhausting," Teresa spoke out.
"If you want us dead, you can come and catch usssssssssss." I mocked her snake lecture.
We tried every junction we could find to dodge her, but as she said, she appeared right in front of us. We were shocked for a moment. "I told you, you can't dodge me. You are just stressing yourself," before she finished the line, we snapped out of it and ran the opposite way.
We thought we had escaped her, but there she appeared again. "You guys don't get it; you can't escape me." She was intimidating, but we still ran, and it continued happening until we got tired, and she finally got to us. "You guys are just stupid and don't get it. This is my world; you can't escape me. And if I want—" *SNAP* "(the next second we were tied separately with ropes and with a wind-like force pushing us to the back and slamming our backs against the wall) "—I can just slaughter you guys in a heartbeat." Then, there and here, she transformed into her normal self (TERESA).
We were in so much pain from hitting the wall and were unable to react to it for a while. Teresa's speech began. "You are a nice boy, Anon, and you too, Angel. But the moment Zelda told us about you, I knew I had to come and see for myself. And yes, indeed, I do sense a lot of KI from both of you. But, Angel, you're just pathetic. If I were a little bit weaker, then I might have been after you too. But you are just scrawny, FRAIL, WEAAKK!!! ha-ha-ha. But seriously, I admire your strength. But good for you, you are weak, and I will just let you go and take my precious Anon. My boss will be so proud of me. He said dead or alive, but he is just going to be amazed if I bring you in alive, ANON. Could this day even get any better!"
"I have dream paralysis. You will wish you got that and not leaf manipulation or even your light magic. But I will give a little credit because that's cool. And that's why we wouldn't let you keep those powers to yourself. Hmm, I wonder what your other grimoire does apart from showing that girl up…" Teresa's nonstop talk of her power continued, and it started boring us. I could have even slept off, but then "…and now it is time for your doom," she ended.
She came right to us and then clasped Angel by the hair and started kicking her in the guts. This got me pissed, and the strength came up from somewhere. "Let her be," I stated.
"Ohh! He speaks now. No one could have ever moved after my DIVIDER SLAM ATTACK, but you…"
"I said let her be." The anger in me was just escalating the more she held Angel by the hair upright.
"Hmm, he's coughing something. He's a big boy. I like you…"
*BAAM* The fury in me had already grown to its limit, and I couldn't just take any more of her talk. I tore through the rope and gave her a life-changing punch right on her, a punch that pierced a little into her face and then forced her off, sending her flying over the room to the other side. The moment she hit, the entire room glitched white, but this time it was too fast; I couldn't see what changed.
I wasn't concerned at all about anything but Angel. I quickly held her up and gave a heartfelt hug. I wouldn't stand the chance of her being hurt or losing her. She was comatose. "Angel, please, are you alright? Hey, Angel, please answer me. Pleeease, An...gel, please don't do this to me!!! ANGEL!!!" I screamed.
"She wouldn't… wake up, you know." I looked just to see Teresa getting up with her neck twisted and her head to the back. "Oww!! No one has ever drawn blood from me before in a long while now. Now I don't care if the master wants you alive…."
"You did this to Angel. I wouldn't forgive you. You will pay, you will PAYYY!! DIEEE!!!!" We charged at each other in rage. I threw the first punch before it could hit her; she vanished. Before I could react, she reemerged at my back, punching me right in the back, which sent me soaring into a table.
"Ahh!!" It was more painful. I looked to my right to find the broken glass bottle beside me. I picked it up and hurried towards her again, threw the first punch, and she vanished likewise.
"Do you know what all those powers you have lack? Do you know?!! SPEED, YOU LACK SPEED, BOY!! Well, in all sincerity, not just speed. Your whole existence is a lack. You can't DEFEAT ME. JUST GIVE UP AND DIE!!"
She reappeared by my side this time and gave me a face-slamming kick, which pushed me back towards the table. The moment I almost hit it, she reappeared at my flank and gave me another. Before I could shoot up through the atmosphere, she carried me by the cloth, knocking me to the ground.
She started punching me in the face on every side.
"Ha-ha-ha, YOU WERE STUPID TO THINK YOU WILL DRAW THE LAST BLOOD, BAAAKAAA!!"
She continued punching, and I started bleeding and coughing up blood. I was already losing all hope, but by the time I turned my face to the side and saw Angel still lying on the ground unconscious, the rage in me filled back up before she could hit me again.
I clashed my hand with the blow she was about to give me, and she looked very shocked. She was in fear for some reason. That's good; I like it that way. I stood my ground and held her by the tip of her cloth, dragging her in and giving her a head bump. She blacked out again, and this time I saw the whole atmosphere disappear. For a moment, a white atmosphere surrounded everything, from top to bottom and all sides. It was like there was no beginning and no end to it.
We were floating in a blank abyss that covered all inches of everything. I pushed Teresa over to the side and hurried to Angel, who was seemingly moving. "Angel, are you there?" I was anxious.
She opened her eyes to me, and I was so glad I let out a downpour of tears. I didn't know how things would have been without her after she came this far with me. It had just been weeks or days, but I was already attached.
"Why are you crying, Anon?" she asked.
"Don't you know any minute without you would fill me with so much emptiness? I can't stand to lose you," I replied, tears streaming down my face.
"Anon, I wouldn't think of losing you too," she smiled.
"Aww, what an awesome couple. Too bad I am GOING TO BREAK IT, HAHA!" Teresa interrupted.
The room took back its shaggy appearance.
"Anon, I have figured it out. Why she can't kill us yet, and why she is stalling, she's..." *SWOOSH* Before Angel could finish, a strong breeze hit me, and when I opened my eyes, it felt like my heart stopped. I couldn't believe my eyes—I found Teresa holding Angel's head up by the hair, across the room, holding a knife.
"Don't lay a finger on her," I said.
"Anon, I will always be with you..."
"Shhh, girl!" Teresa interrupted.
"I said don't touch her."
"I'm sorry; my journey here has come to an end." Angel started sobbing, which triggered mine.
"I can't lose you again. Don't you dare touch her!" I stood up and started hurrying towards her.
"Goodbye, Anon. The key to winning is not fear but strength and..."
*SLASH* "HAHA!" Right in front of me. I couldn't comprehend what just happened. Her body dropped to the ground, my face frozen, fixed on it. I couldn't react. The greatest shock befell me.
"No one tells my secret under my nose," I looked at Teresa to see her holding Angel's head, tears rolling down her face.
"In the clan where I am from, they call this the ZETTAI SAYONARA."
