Mind playing tricks

"We need a healer, "the woman says

"No, its okay Serena, is okay"

[Serena]" no we need one, we can find them at the school"

We were hiding behind some trees, it looks like we were in a dark forest, not mythical but literal, I was panting, I have been injured or something.

"Oh the school that's right, we still need a swordsman and archer"

"Just seal it, then we can get the healer and the rest of the crew".

[Serena]"You know I can't control my magic."

"Don't worry about me just do it."

[Serena]" Are you sure about this?"

Anon "Yeah, just do it."

Okay she said

She brings out her grimoire as she recites twice

"Close now not healed and remain locked until I need (sealing spell)"

I would have said that was a healing spell but with the words it's quite obvious it was a sealing spell.

"You have to rest you know your head was hit, I will drop you off at the school " Serena said.

"Who are you? Where am I? OOUCHH! My head"

"Noonoooonooo!! This is what I was avoiding "Serena screamed

"I don't feel so good..." I fell cold and unconscious at that moment.

"Anon wake up"

"Wake up Anon!!"

I woke up stressed out.

"This dream again! I have even forgotten about that woman. Serena, Serena!! , all I know is that we knew each other but the problem is from where and when did we know each other" This whole thing was confusing.

"Now I am free I can search for you Serena and find the connection between us".

I looked outside the window to see it was still the middle of the night and I have time to take a lot of sleep. I laid back on my bed to sleep, stupid me ignored the voice that woke me up.

*voices*

"Who is there?" I flinched.

I looked and saw no one

Seems like still heard more voices.

"Ah, not this again!" I said with agony.

The voices became more excruciating but I just had to keep calm to not draw any attention to myself.

After the protracted excruciating misery, it dwindled and tardily ceased.

"Phew, it's gone, Angel, I miss you, it's only you that can help me with what am going through now"

"I should probably go back to sleep" then I did as I decided.

*6 minutes later*

[Amelie]"let's just check if they are still there"

[Jonah]"yes we should, now it's late"

"What are we checking?"

*CREAK*

[Amelie]"open it gently"

Jonah whispers "yes"

"Open what," I asked.

I was still bewildered but I managed to unfurl my eyes, I opened and could but was incapable to locate anyone in my room, I was perplexed, I am losing my mind or was that just a dream with just audio?

I say to myself on the bed thinking when I heard "okay they are still there" it was Amelie's voice again.

[Jonah]"let me put them all together"

I was confused, I thought I was losing my mind until I heard a sound from downstairs like a creak and I was very curious, maybe something could be happening down there.

I tiptoed downstairs to see what was happening, I hid behind the wall and peeped to find Amelie and Jonah coming out of the trapdoor room.

[Amelie]"now they are all placed together we can go and rest"

"Lock it first" Jonah whispered back.

"So it was them all along but how did me..., oh they are coming this way" I murmured to myself.

I quickly ran up to my room and sat to think things through

[Amelie]"we should check on Anon"

[Jonah]"yes that's a good idea"

"Uh, they are coming here,"

I quickly lay on the bed opposing the door then Amelie and Jonah came in.

[Amelie]"that's good he is still asleep"

[Jonah]"yeah we should let him rest e can be ready for the great good news we will tell him in the morning ".

[Amelie]"now we know where Angel is, he will be delightful and very happy"

[Jonah]"let's go before you wake him up".

They finally left my room, "Angel!! Thank goodness, wear is coming back together, but that trapdoor, I have to find what or who they are hiding."

It was already morning but still very early, the sun was barely out, well I woke very early because I woke up very early to check out the trapdoor room before Amelie and Jonah woke.

As I woke the first thing I did was to go and check if Amelie and Jonah were already up and luckily for me, they weren't.

I tiptoed past their room and then downstairs and I had to be very swift and quiet.

I first removed the rug that was covering up the trapdoor room and then it was time for the hard part which was to open the door. I knew Amelie and Jonah opened it but the big question is how?

I searched and looked around looking for a keyhole or just maybe a lever or button somewhere but I couldn't find one.

I was about to give up and give all hopes up when I noticed a pattern carved out below a corner of the trapdoor, it consisted of three shaped holes with a line connecting them, with a crescent moon like shaped hole inverted on both sides and the last hole there was a star like and I was about to study more when I heard the sounds from upstairs.

I quickly opened up the trapdoor with the rug and peeped if anyone was coming and when I saw no one coming I ran to the toilet and waited till when someone will be coming down so I can act like I was coming out of there and well it went as if I wanted.

Amelie came down "Anon! Anon!!"

Anon "I'm coming"

[Amelie]"oh you are in the washroom? "

I quickly came out of the washroom.

"Do you need something, Amelie?"

[Amelie]"Oh no, I just came to your room now and you weren't there and I was worried, that's all"

"Oh, nature called and I hurried in"

[Amelie]"okay I just wanted to do my morning sweeping so when it will be time for I and Jonah to go to the forest to get some stuff we wouldn't be held back"

"Erm... no need for that now am here, I will do all house chores willingly" I can't let her notice the moved rug.

[Amelie]" that is nice for you but you don't have to"

"you have helped me a lot and I think doing all house chores is the only way I can pay back for now "

[Amelie]"still you don't have to "

"Amelie I insist" I can't let her do it.

Wait!! For some reason, I just realized I had fully recovered from the Teresa incident.

How could that happen, not even a bruise anymore?

I should ask Amelie and Jonah, No!! That would not be good, if I ask they might not want me to clean up again, hence leading to them finding the moved rug.

"If he insists, he can do it, there is no harm there", Jonah said as he came downstairs.

"Oh! You are awake"

"yes I am, since he said he can do it, then we can start going now, it's best we just go currently, we just woke so when we come back we can have enough rest" Jonah responded.

"Will you come with us anon, we can both do the chores when we get back"

No, I have to stay back and check out more about that lock, no time to waste.

"Oh, maybe tomorrow we will all go, I haven't gotten much sleep and I am really tired" I replied

"Okay, then you should proceed to sleep, we will be back on time".

I quickly kept an eye on them through the window as they left and as they were out of sight I quickly opened the rug and started OPERATION EXPLORE THE TRAPDOOR.

"I don't understand it was here"

To my surprise those cutouts weren't there anymore, are my eyes and mind playing tricks on me?
