Chapter 5 - Drama.

Jonathan realized that the character he had been given, was in fact necessary to activate the extra task in the world of One Piece. And in possession of 1 more talisman, the character that would appear would be utility-focused, to help him along the way, just like [Felix].

After talking to his team, they all decided that they were going to use the character roulette one more time. So Jonathan asked to Jeane.

"Jeane please, we'd like to use the character roulette."

"Hey brother, will you let me go first again, please." - Jong-su asked.

"Of course, i hope you bring out an amazing character again, it'll help our team a lot." - Jonathan said sincerely. "Everything is fine for you girls?" - He asked the rest of his team.

"Yeah." - Alisha replied.

"No problem." - Janet said.

"Umu." - Emily nodded positively.

"Thanks guys." - Jong-su said with a big smile on his face.

Then Jong-su approached the roulette wheel and pulled the lever.

"Come on, come on." - He said nervously.

[Ultimate Aggregor - Ben 10 Ultimate Alien]

"YES!" - Jong-su celebrated with his arms up in the air.

Everyone congratulated him on his luck with the character.

"Who wants to go now? I don't care about the order, after all we're all going to use the roulette now anyways." - Jonathan said sincerely.

The girls looked at each other and briefly discussed who would be the next one and this time they chose Emily to go next.

She approached the roulette wheel and pulled the lever.

"Hmph! It could've been better, but now with the gigantification skill everyone will be able to admire my beauty even more. Umu, umu!" - Emily said arrogantly.

"*Sigh*" - Everyone sighed at Emily's arrogant words who was still playing Nero Claudius.

The next to pull the lever was Janet.

[Jinx - Teen Titans]

"Interesting, bad luck isn't it. This will come in very handy." - Janet commented.

And being the last one of the girls to pull the lever, Alisha spun the wheel.

[Emma Frost - X-Men]

"Very good, i always liked this character so i'm glad i got her." - Alisha said immediately transforming into the character.

She started groping herself which made her team blush. The girls embarrassed and the boys with eyes glued to her sexy body.

Feeling the watchful eyes of her team, she looked at them and stopped groping herself blushing a little embarrassed, and apologizing right after.

Alisha ducked her head, still embarrassed and gave Jonathan a few quick glances, but he didn't even notice as he was congratulating Jong-su on the character that he got, which was one of his favorites ones in his previous life.

He didn't notice, but the sharp gaze of the girls did, and when Alisha looked at them, Janet and Emily were looking at her with a smug smile on their faces, as if they already understood everything, which made Alisha completely red with embarrassment.

But they decided to change the subject.

"Now it's your turn, John." - Janet said.

"You're right, let's go." - Jonathan said determined.

He approached the roulette wheel and pulled the lever. The result was...

"Who?" - Jong-su asked with a lost expression.

*Sigh* 'I won't even bother to complain and just accept it already. After all i'm sure he'll be useful on the long run.' - Jonathan thought disappointed.

"Kiyo is the partner of the demon Gash Bell, from the Zatch Bell anime in English. He is just a normal human, with a very useful ability called [Answer Talker], which allows him to know the answer to any question he may come across. A little bit broken ability coming to think of it." - Jonathan explained to Jong-su.

'Maybe my luck became really good with these talismans.' - He reflected on his luck.

"Ok, you still have 200 points to spend, what do you want to do with the rest of the points?" Jeane asked with a friendly smile.

"I don't know. Do you have any suggestions Jeane?" - Jonathan asked.

"Hmm. Have you guys heard of the Gift Card item?" - She asked.

"No." - The team responded by shaking their heads in denial.

"Very well, with this item you can register your ID and give it to someone you don't want to forget your presence, in any world that you go to perform some task. Depending on your affinity level with the character, it can ask for help by generating a personal quest, or you can summon the character to help in some way as a summon, and when you dismiss the summon, the character will immediately return to its home world." - Jean explained.

"Interesting, and how much does a card like that cost?" - Janet asked interested.

"100 points each." - Jean replied.

"Hmm." - Jong-su said thinking.

"How about we each buy one of these cards? We kind of don't need them right now, but just in case we do, we already have at least one in our inventory." - Alisha suggested.

"You're right." - Jonathan said and everyone nodded in agreement.

Then, as agreed, each of Jonathan's team, including himself, bought a card.

Since abilities don't work on the Nexus, the team decided to test the characters in the Training Grounds.

Once there, they started training with their characters in mock battles but Jonathan, since his character's only ability was the [Answer Talker].

As soon as he started using this ability he felt his mind and vision expand.

'Woah, what a weird feeling. Should i ask something, or want to know something? - Jonathan thought. 'I already know! *Cough, cough* How does the [Answer Talker] ability work?'

They can understand the mechanics behind any issue they may face and know what must be done to solve any problem. 'Hmm, so that's how this ability works. The information pops right into my brain as if i always knew the information, and apparently i'll always be able to remember the information whenever i want. Nice.' - Jonathan thought understanding how the ability works.

'Wait a minute. Since i'll know the answer to any question... - He thought activating the [Answer Talker] once more.

'[Answer Talker]: What happened to my family?' - Jonathan asked a little nervous.

"What?! Even without the weaknesses the ability can still be blocked by the way." [Answer Talker]: Who blocked the information?." - Jonathan asked this time aloud, which caught the attention of Alisha who was eating a sandwich sitting next to him.

"Hmm? Did something happen, John?" - She asked.

"No, it's nothing, i'm just testing my new ability." - He quickly denied.

"Ok, if you need anything just say so." - Alisha said with a warm smile.

'Hmm?! Did something happened to Alisha? She's been acting kind of weird lately.' - Jonathan thought looking into Alisha's eyes, which made her blush slightly and look in another direction.

Jonathan decided to let it go and see the ability's response.

'*Sigh*' - Jonathan sighed internally. 'This won't lead anywhere, better think of a more common information first' - He thought.

'[Answer Talker]: What should I do first to get more powerful?'

=[Train [Haki], learn techniques and skills through [Answer Talker], and spin the character wheel once more.]=

'Finally some progress! And how do i train [Haki]?' - Jonathan asked himself.

So Jonathan continued to chat with [Answer Talker] and get some valuable answers. But unfortunately he couldn't get any information from the future, as the skill only responded with [Unknown].

'Maybe this is some limitation of the ability, maybe it needs more clues or something, after all this ability is not omniscient.' - He reflected.

During the rest of the day, Jonathan started to practice the [Haki] ability with the assistance of the [Answer Talker], and he managed to reach Adept mastery level during the week. At this mastery level [Haki] was at the post time-skip level where [Haki] darkened the area of ​​the body or object that was infused.

(A/N: Remembering that the ability [Haki] encompasses the 3 manifestations, Armament, Observation, and Conqueror.)

Jonathan also helped his teammates and they all managed to reach Adept level during the course of the training week. In addition to learning new abilities for his character [Gyarados (Shiny)] and choosing a technique he always wanted to use since his childhood the [Fist Of The North Star]. Jonathan started to learn how to manipulate Chi/Ki and Mana as well.

Unfortunately the rest of his team was too busy training with the new characters, so he was only able to help them reach the Adept mastery with [Haki], as they already had the ability at the Beginner level.

All this training lasted 2 weeks. During that time Jonathan didn't even sleep, he just trained and barely stopped to eat and drink water.

The ability [Answer Talker], provides an injection of knowledge in the brain, that is additive. Jonathan literally stayed on Crack, and every time he got tired or sleepy, he would hit himself with his [Fix-It Hammer], which would restore all of his stamina and energy, while eliminating fatigue.

After the 2 weeks, this crazy training he did was over, and seeing that he and his team were more ready than ever, they decided to move on to the next task.

The next morning, everyone gathered and walked over to Jeane, who greeted them with her usual friendly smile.

They followed the necessary procedure and looked at the task catalog. This time, strongly suggested by the girls on his team in particular, they decided that Alisha should choose the next task.

Jonathan and Jong-su agreed, just shrugging their shoulders, and looking at each other without understanding why the girls had taken the initiative.

Jonathan being experienced, noticed that Alisha blushed again, which happened frequently during the 2 weeks of training, and he doesn't need the [Answer Talker] ability to guess what's going on.

Alisha is clearly interested in him romantically, or at least sexually.

After all, his appearance is indeed very attractive, but he needs to observe for a while to know if in fact what she feels for him is love, or just physical attraction.

Unfortunately he is still grieving the death of his wife, and the fact that he can no longer see his family, makes him even more emotionally unstable, and he doesn't want that kind of distraction right now.

"Hmm. Moana is a pretty cool choice, actually." - Jonathan commented.

"Isn't it!" - Alisha said excitedly, but then blushed a little, cleared her throat with a cough and continued. *Cough* "I really like the Moana animation and thought it would be a really nice and peaceful world to visit, as we've recently been to the battle oriented world of [One Piece], and i believe the task won't be too difficult with our current power." - She clarified.

Everyone agreed with her line of reasoning and got ready for the task.

But in the corner Jonathan saw Janet and Emily high five.

'Tsk. I knew it.' - He thought angry, knowing the reason why Alisha chose this world.

Then Jonathan seeing that Janet and Emily were further away he approached them, bowed a little so only they could hear, and said.

"Ok, whose idea was it really, for us to go to the [Moana] world?" - He asked the two. "I know Alisha is a more serious woman, and the odds of her choosing a childlike world like [Moana] are pretty low. So tell me who came up with the idea, and why?" - He continued with a serious look.

"I don't know what you're talking about." - Janet said turning her face to the side trying to avoid eye contact.

Emily did the same but she kept whistling an unfamiliar song.

"Hmph. You don't have to play Cupid. I already know what's going on here, tell her to talk to me directly." - Jonathan pressed as he hated people planning things on his back.

They began to sweat profusely as if they had been caught committing some crime. Trying to keep up the fax, they decided to get away from him and ran towards Alisha and Jong-su, who were talking a little further away.

"*Sigh* Jong-su, come here a moment please, i want to tell you something in private." - Jonathan called Jong-su in order to let the girls talk to each other.

Jong-su concluded the conversation with Alisha and walked towards Jonathan. As he approached, Jonathan quickly thought of a random topic to keep him busy, and started chatting.

As for the girls, they were panicking as if their plan had been ruined.

"How does he know? He's a man, and men shouldn't be so attentive." - Alisha said frustrated that their plan had been discovered.

"Seriously, you didn't even try to be discreet. I could tell you had a crush on him from miles away." - Janet tried to justify.

"And you Emily, i told you not to choose the [Moana] world, because there were many other worlds that would be better." - Alisha said trying to blame someone.

"But i like the animation, and i always wanted to know what it would be like in real life. The chance came and i really wanted to go, i'm sorry." - Emily said with tears in her eyes.

Seeing that they had hurt Emily, they apologized and hugged her.

"Hmm? What happened to the girls?" - Jong-su asked confused seeing the girls hugging.

"It's nothing, it's probably woman's business. Let's go ahead and wait for them at the teleportation circle." - Jonathan said putting his hand on Jong-su's shoulder and heading towards the teleportation circle.

After a few minutes the girls arrived and tried their best to avoid eye contact with Jonathan.

"*Chuckle*" - Jonathan laughed when he saw the way they were acting.

"Hmm?!" - Jong-su said completely lost.

Jonathan ignored his friend's doubtful expression and just said.

"Start Task!"

And in the next second he and his team disappeared into particles of light.

When the team opened their eyes they were on a beach, with the sun rising on the horizon, and before they could say anything they heard music playing in the background and a themed psychedelic illusion.

In it Maui was singing the song "You're Welcome" trying to show off and trick Moana into stealing her boat.

Leaving aside the internal situation of their team, everyone prepared for the challenges ahead.

"Remembering that our job here is to help them guys, not to do the quest for them." - Jonathan remembered.

His team nodded, and they decided to stay hidden and just keep an eye out and help out in tight situations.

Jonathan decided to transform into [Gyarados (Shiny)] and give the rest of his team a ride.

They waited until Maui managed to steal the boat and leave Moana behind trapped in a cave.

The first story change that happened, was that Moana was unable to push the statue, and out through the hole in the cave ceiling.

Then at Janet's charge she used her [Jinx] ability and the statue's left leg started to collapse and the statue fell in the convenient direction where Moana could jump into the gap and climb to the top.

The second change was the absence of the Ocean helping Moana, so Jong-su was in charge of the [Water Manipulation] ability from the Water Hazard part of the character [Ultimate Aggregor], he picked up Moana and put her back on the canoe several times, as Maui went crazy for spending 1000 years of solitude on a desert island.

Which reminded Jonathan of Chuck in the world of [Cast Away]. If in just a few years he was already talking to a ball, imagine 1000 years talking to just an animated tattoo.

This changed a lot the perspective of how he saw Maui, as the film made a point of showing him as an insensitive person who only cares about himself, which is far from the truth.

Alisha who was in Jonathan's head literally, saw sadness in his eyes, and after a while of watching, she gathered her courage and asked.

"John, are you alright?" - She said with a worried expression.

Hearing her question, light returned to his vacant, melancholic gaze. He looked back and realizing that the rest of his team was also interested in knowing the answer, he finally answered.

"I'm fine, i'm just reflecting on Maui's personality change." - He explained.

"Change? What change? Isn't he just going to change at the end of the movie's story? For now he's just this idiot." - She said and looking at his team he realized that they agreed with Alisha's statement.

"Wrong. Look at him closely. What's he missing?" - Jonathan asked trying to help his teammates to use their brains.

"A shirt?" - Jong-su said innocently.

*Laughs* - All of his teammates including Jonathan laughed at Jong-su's honesty and innocence.

"Why are you laughing, did i say something funny?" - Jong-su asked with a vein pulsing in his forehead angryd by the laughter.

*Sigh* Jonathan sighed deeply remembering that Jong-su was just a teenager, therefore inexperienced.

"Hahaha, calm down Jong-su. In fact you're not wrong, he could in fact be wearing a shirt. But the point i'm referring to is what Maui lacks as a person." Jonathan explained.

"Hmm." - Jong-su replied calming down.

"Maybe his hook?" Janet suggest doubtfully.

"Maybe... would anyone else like to try?" - Jonathan asked wanting to know their opinion.

"Hmm." - Alisha said in with her index finger on her chin in a position of reflection.

"Time." - Emily whispered.

"Hun? Can you please repeat for everyone to hear Emily?" - Jonathan asked gently.

"Ah! No, no, i didn't say anything, i just thought something silly, tehe!" - Emily said nervously and giving a small punch to the her head.

She got even more nervous as everyone was staring at her, so she turned her back, hoping to disappear due to embarrassment.

"Calm down Emily, you didn't do anything wrong actually, you hit the spot where i wanted to go." - Jonathan said trying to calm Emily, because she is very sensitive.

"I got it right?!" - She said impressed with herself.

"Yes. Now, can you please repeat what you said before so everyone can hear?" he asked.

"Right." *Cough* - Emily coughed lightly, clearing her throat. "I said that, what Maui lacks is time. Time that he wasted and won't come back." - She explained.

"Exactly, more specifically speaking, Maui dedicated his life to helping mortals. Helping so much that he made a terrible mistake to satisfy his own ego and human greed." - He continued explaining and looked down towards Maui who threw Moana out of the boat for the thirtieth time.

"Due to this mistake, made with only good intentions, he suffered the wrath of the goddess Te Fiti, who in her wrathful form became Te Kã. Maui was seriously injured and was exiled to an island for over 1000 years. No water or food to feed himself, imagine the guilt and loneliness that brought him to the brink of despair.

He was abandoned by the gods and the humanity that he loved so much. And instead of forgiveness and help to turn the situation around, the gods punished him severely. Just imagine how close he came to breaking, how close to totally losing his sanity he came.

The gods could have solved the whole problem on their own and easily, the very divine Ocean Spirit that chose Moana for the quest could have solved it right away.

But no, for them this is all just a game or just to prove a point, and i hate it with all my might. And this damn movie just spat at his dignity, who once was a hero, a Demigod, and now, demoted to a buffed-up coward." - Jonathan declared with contempt, and venom on his tongue.

Everyone was silent, taking in Jonathan's point of view, who returned to look at Maui with wistful eyes.

He just kept remembering the helplessness he felt watching his wife die before his eyes, and of even now being kept from knowing what happened to her and his family.

This began to spark a feeling of frustration in his heart, as if nothing was under his control. If his experience and age were not the same maybe he would have already given up on living and even choosing not to be a Saint.

But hope shone like a bright light in his heart, as he saw the happiness of those he helped in this job, and that desire to help only grew every day.

Jonathan looked back again and saw that the mood had turned heavy and gloomy, so he suggested that when the task was over, they stay a little longer in this world, to relax on a beach day when they return to Motunui with Moana.

The rest of the story followed as in the movie, with some changes for the better, like the total destruction of the Kakamora pirates and the death of Tamatoa.

When they finally reached Maui, he destroyed his magic hook as a last resort to save Moana. The explosion revealed the spiral in Te Kã's chest and she understood that Te Kã was actually Te Fiti all along. And that this monstrous appearance was the spirit of Te Fiti out of control.

With the help of the "ocean" she placed Te Fiti's heart in the place where it should never have left, returning the goddess to her former glory.

The rest happened just like in the movie, and this time they didn't get any [Achievement] or [Extra Task].

So they decided to stay on the island of Te Fiti and enjoy the rest of the day off enjoying the beach.

The girls took care of everything, and set up a camp and a picnic area.

Jonathan took advantage of some local fruits and coconuts to make a fruit salad while the girls changed into more "comfortable" clothes.

30 minutes later, after Jonathan take a nap along with Jong-su on the grass, he was woken up by Jong-su.

"Bro, bro, wake up you have to see this." - Jong-su said shaking Jonathan's sleeping body.

"Hun? What happened Jon-"

Jonathan couldn't even finish his sentence when he saw the girls of his team in bikinis that left almost nothing to the imagination.

But he soon pulled himself together, as he was once married. So the girls' sexy bikinis didn't affect him as much as they did when he was younger. Unlike Jong-su who had his eyes glued to them and was almost drooling.

Jonathan gave Jong-su a nudge to wake him from his trance, and said.

"Calm down Jong-su, remember that you still have a lot of chances to find a girlfriend, don't let your hormones control your judgment." - Jonathan said trying to warn about the mistake that many young people make.

But it all seemed to go in one ear and out the other, as he got up all clumsy and went to talk to the girls stuttering.

*Sigh* 'Congratulations on getting into the friend zone my buddy.' - Jonathan thought feeling sorry for the boy.

The girls were a little embarrassed by the barrage of questions Jong-su asked them.

Seeing that the girls started looking at him for maybe validation, Jonathan got up and decided to go over and talk to them.

Walking up to them he put a warm smile on his face and praised their looks and bikini choices.

But what surprised him even more was that the girls brought swimming trunks for him and Jong-su.

"Humph, it looks like you guys thought of everything, didn't you. If i didn't already know you guys had something like this planned, I'd be even more impressed than i already am. Still, thank you very much." - Jonathan thanked and the girls were embarrassed because he already knew they would do something like this.

*Cough, cough* "If you like it, you can go change, then we'll talk more, ok?" - Alisha said trying to avoid eye contact.

Jonathan and Jong-su looked at each other, nodded, and went to change.

After 2 minutes they came back in just their swimming trunks. The girls stared at them gapping, looking first at Jong-su who had the slim body of a young man.

Then they looked at Jonathan, almost drooling at the sight of his muscular body, and well defined abs. He has an enviable appearance after all it was based on a Greek god.

Noticing the hungry looks of the girls Jonathan just sighed and approached them who were blushing.

"Better shut your mouths or you'll end up eating flies." - He said sighing.

As soon as the girls heard his words they snapped out of their reverie, which made them blush with embarrassment.

Instead of saying anything, they just ran into the water in their bikinis and kept whispering and looking at him.

"*Sigh* Young people..." - He thought aloud.

"What?" - Jong-su asked Jonathan not understanding what he meant and the weird way the girls were acting.

"Forget about it Jong-su, thinking about it too much will only give you a headache. Women act weird especially when they're together." - Jonathan explained seeing the doubtful expression on Jong-su's face.

Obviously Jonathan can read these girls' actions like an open book. To him, they couldn't have acted more obviously.

"Let's join them and enjoy the day off. Let's leave the worries for later." - Jonathan said with a warm smile on his face.

"Yes!" - Jong-su replied with a bright and excited smile.

Then, Jong-su ran ahead towards the sea and dove into the water and swam deeper. There is no danger of drowning of course, as they have the protection of [Halo Of The Saint], which allows them to survive in any environment, even underwater.

Trying to relax Jonathan decided to forget about everything else and just float in the sea water with his eyes closed. After a few minutes he finally managed to relax to the point of almost falling asleep... if he wasn't interrupted right away by Emily.

"John, Alisha wants to talk to you." - She said.

"About what?" he asked, frowning, opening one eye, and feigning ignorance.

"It's a private matter, she said." - Emily said trying to keep the non-existent mystery.

"*Sigh* Alright, alright, i'll be right there." - He replied, getting up and heading towards Alisha, who was waiting sitting on a towel on the sand.

He sat beside her and trying not to be insensitive he asked.

"I heard you wanted to speak with me privately. What would it be about?" he asked with a warm smile on his face.

"Well a... I-I'm a... fine. We've known each other for a few months now and i've b-been thinking about your situation, and the fact that you're kind of sad. Ah, what i mean is that you don't seem interested in having any relationship at all. Well, so i-i was thinking… *sigh* W-Wo-would you like to go out with me?" Alisha asked with determination in her eyes, stuttering a little bit.

Jonathan just smiled warmly in response. But unfortunately he couldn't respond to Alisha's feelings as his family's memories were still very vivid and fresh. He would feel bad for the memory of his late wife if he moved on so quickly. Almost like he was cheating on her, which he wouldn't in a million years.

Then looking at Alisha in the eyes with a sad face, he replied sincerely.

"Alisha, i need you to hear me out to the end before i say anything." - He said.

"S-Sure." - She replied with tears in her eyes, already anticipating what Jonathan's answer would be.

"Look i like you, i really do, but unfortunately i'm not ready to move on yet. The memories of my wife and family are still very vivid in my mind. And i would feel really bad if I got into a new relationship feeling guilty. I'm still grieving for them. But i'll make one thing very clear, the problem is not you but me so don't feel rejected i only ask one thing if you really want to wait for me to get over this feeling of anguish, i will be very happy to reciprocate your feelings. But if you want to move on i will understand your decision. I'm sorry." - Jonathan explained with a serious and sad look at the same time.

"No... *Sob* it's fine... *Sob* I... I need to go." - Alisha said crying and ran to her tent.

Watching the events unfold, Emily and Janet followed her into her tent, trying to comfort her in some way.

Soon after, Jong-su returned from his long dive carrying a white object wrapped in ropes.

Seeing Jonathan sitting on the sand and not seeing the girls he asked.

"Hey bro, look what i found! What about the girls? - He said lifting and showing the object, and then asking about the girls.

"The girls are fine, they just decided to rest in their tents. And this thing over there, is that what i think it is?" - Jonathan explained and asked.

"You bet, hahaha." - Jong-su said laughing.

Laughing with good reason, as the object Jong-su found is none other than Maui's ancient broken magic hook.

When he found the hook, Jong-su immediately remembered the one person, who had a magic hammer that could fix anything.

So immediately he had the brilliant idea of bringing the hook to Jonathan to fix it.

Jonathan, curious to see if his hammer would work on a magic weapon, immediately summoned his [Fix-It Hammer].

As Jong-su held the broken hook, Jonathan immediately received the necessary information on how many times he should strike the hook with the hammer.

Then he struck 3 times. Each hit with the loud sound of a church tower bell.

As Jonathan hammered the hook for the third time, a golden light shone brightly. When the light disappeared the hook was completely restored.

But what surprised them both was that the hook shrunk to a size that Jong-su could use.

Which was strange, because in the movie this didn't happen because it looked like the hook had been custom made for Maui.

That aside now they needed to test the hook to see if it still had the magical powers he bestowed on Maui.

Being men, they didn't say anything, they just looked at each other and gave a big smile.

Immediately Jong-su focused and in a bluish-white glow he transformed into an eagle, and flew away.

As Jonathan watched Jong-su test the hook's powers which seemed to work perfectly.

The girls came out of the tents with swollen eyes from crying and approached Jonathan who was standing looking up.

"We heard the sound of your magic hammer being used, what happened and where is Jong-su?" - Janet asked.

Hearing the question Jonathan turned to Janet and explained what happened. Looking at the girls his eyes fixed on Alisha, who turned her face to the side trying to avoid eye contact with him.

Sighing Jonathan decided to go back to watching Jong-su having fun, transforming into various animals.

After a few minutes, finally tired, Jong-su decided to lend the hook for everyone on his team to test but they weren't in the mood.

So the night finally came and everyone was having dinner in silence, except Alisha who wasn't hungry and decided to stay in her tent, when Jong-su couldn't take it anymore.

"Argh! What happened to you guys? Are we at a funeral by any chance? Why is everyone quiet and why Alisha isn't here having dinner with us?" - He asked completely lost.

The girls just stopped eating and looked at Jonathan who sighed deeply, getting up and calling Jong-su for a walk.

"Jong-su come with me for a walk on the beach." - Jonathan said leaving.

Curious Jong-su got up and followed Jonathan towards the beach. After a few minutes of walking on the sand and talking, Jonathan explained his situation with Alisha.

"What?! How did it happen so suddenly and out of nowhere? I didn't notice anything going on between you two." Jong-su asked perplexed.

"Hahahah, You have to read between the lines boy, just so you can find a girlfriend, or you'll end single." - Jonathan explained laughing.

"But you don't like Alisha?" - Jong-su asked curiously.

"It's not that i don't like her, it's because i'm not ready yet." - Jonathan explained.

"But Alisha is so beautiful, and smart, and has so many other attractive qualities. And seriously, she looks like Rias Gremory i doubt anyone would have rejected her." - Jong-su declared.

"*Sigh* I know Jong-su, but i was married 20 years to the same woman. My feelings for her are still very deep. Also appearance is not the most important thing in a long-term relationship. I will never have a romantic relationship with anyone, purely and simply for the looks. A loving and lasting relationship is built with much more than that. And it's not that i don't like Alisha, in fact i like her a lot, but the loss of my wife still hurts a lot, understand? - Jonathan he explained calmly so that Jong-su could understand his motives.

"Wow, i think I've aged about 10 years in this conversation, you're too Boomer for your own good bro, hahahah!" - Jong-su joked and started to laugh, but his respect for his older brother increased even further.

"Argh!" - Jonathan just grunted and quickened his pace leaving Jong-su behind.

"Hey wait for me bro, i was just kidding, hahahah." - Jong-su said with a big smile on his face, running to catch up with Jonathan.

In the camp the girls were lying in the same tent and the boys in another. Around 2 am, Jonathan woke up and went for a walk on the beach, trying to free his thoughts from his worries.

Seeing the full moon in the sky light up the night so clearly, he decided to find a more distant place to practice his [Haki] which was already very close to reaching Veteran level.

Using [Answer Talker] Jonathan has been adjusting his spirit and willpower to manifest and emit his [Haki] in an outer layer to cover his body, and utilize the Conqueror aspect to further strengthen his attacks.

When, after an hour of training, a message in the system signaled his progress.

⟨Congratulations your ability [Haki] has reached Veteran mastery level!⟩

Jonathan took a deep breath and couldn't hide the smug smile on his face.

With his [Haki] and [Answer Talker] still in use Jonathan was informed that he could use [Haki] in conjunction with [Mega Evolution] and [Dynamax!] in the form of [Gyarados (Shiny)].

And that's what he did. He transformed into [Gyarados (Shiny)] and used [Mega Evolution], [Dynamax!] and [Haki] at the same time when the system signaled.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!!!" - Jonathan shouted in bewilderment.

A few minutes before Alisha couldn't sleep due to Jonathan's rejection, so she decided to get up and go for a walk on the beach.

After 10 minutes of walking and enjoying the cool night air, she saw some crashing noises and explosions.

She thought about going back and asking her team for help, but feeling that the sounds were familiar she decided to investigate on her own.

Getting closer she saw Jonathan training his [Haki] and was saddened to remember the rejection. But she decided to stay and watch, as she liked to see him as dedicated as he always was when training.

He suddenly stopped moving, took a deep breath and transformed into his [Gyarados (Shiny)] character and then he used [Mega Evolution] and [Dynamax], which surprised her as she had never seen him using these forms. What surprised even more was the fact that he wore them at the same time, and not only that, his skin suddenly changed from red to black, which left her gapping.

'Is he using [Haki] along with the transformations at the same time? Is that even possible?' - She questioned in her thoughts.

But what happened next scared her a lot. Suddenly Jonathan screamed with the huge mouth of [Mega Evolution|Dynamax!|Haki Gyarados (Shiny)].

"WHAT THE FUCK?!!!"

Frightened, she hid behind a coconut tree, thinking that maybe he had found her. And indeed he had, but that was not the reason for the scream, but the amazing thing that had happened to him.

Jonathan was completely euphoric, as one of his favorite Pokemon was Rayquaza not to mention the Pokémon was ridiculously overpowered.

Without any hesitation, he commanded the system.

"System, evolve my [Gyarados (Shiny)] to [Rayquaza (Shiny)]!" - Jonathan shouted at the top of his lungs.

'Hmm?' - Alisha thought without understanding anything.

In the next second Jonathan's body began to glow internally.

⟨New form incompatible with the natural abilities of the characters [Gyarados (Shiny)] and [Mega Gyarados (Shiny)]!⟩...

When the intense light disappeared an almost black gray serpentine body appeared in place of the previous one almost twice the size.

"RAY!" - Jonathan roared like Rayquaza.

Seeing the event before her eyes Alisha's mouth dropped open once more.

'Did it really evolve into a [Rayquaza]? But how? That should've been impossible.' - She thought, unable to process the events happening right in front of her eyes.

Meanwhile Jonathan felt an enormous urge to fly into space, as if at a call to return home.

Deciding to find out what would happen if he followed that instinct, he flew at high speeds upwards and within seconds he was in outer space.

⟨[Dragon Ascent] ability learned!⟩...

⟨The [Mega Evolution] and [Dynamax!] transformations have been unlocked!⟩...

Once again his body glowed brightly and he transformed into [Mega Rayquaza (Shiny)].

A great feeling of limitless power passed through his entire body and looking into deep space, he saw the planet Mars and felt the urge to go there. Unconsciously he activated the ability [Extreme Speed] and in the next second he was flying over the atmosphere of Mars.

"Damn, that was so fast that it almost feels like teleportation." - Jonathan said impressed with the speed of his new character.

Taking advantage of the fact that he was on a desolate planet he began to use his abilities. Immediately he realized that his character abilities were so strong that if he didn't control the output of his abilities he could easily destroy the entire planet.

Deciding to test the speed of his base form, he canceled [Mega Evolution] and reverted to being just a normal [Rayquaza (Shiny)]. Then using the ability [Extreme Speed] he went back to earth, and after only about 30 seconds he was already passing the moon and reaching the Earth's atmosphere.

Very pleased with his new character, he landed on the beach next to where he was training, and reverted to his human form.

Tired he decided to sit on the sand and get some rest. Recalling his past he began to sing his late wife's favorite song Send Me an Angel - Scorpions.

"Wise man said just walk this way

To the dawn of the light

Wind will blow into your face

As the years pass you by

Hear this voice from deep inside

It's the call of your heart

"*Sigh* I wish you were here with me Lidia." - He said sighing.

Hearing Jonathan's singing and mournful wail, Alisha mustered up the courage and went to him.

"So you finally decided to come here, didn't you, Alisha." - Jonathan said with a laugh.

"Huh?! How did you know it was me?" - She asked perplexed.

"I felt you with my [Haki]." - He explained.

"Oh. I'm sorry if i disturbed you or something. I waited for you to finish training so i could approach, and the Rayquaza was a surprise that shocked me." - She explained.

"Hahaha, isn't it? I was shocked by that too." - He replied laughing.

Then he explained how he achieved this feat and a few more things he learned in his [Haki] training, and even gave her some tips on how to master her [Haki] as well.

After a few more minutes of talking, they were silent looking at the waves of the sea breaking on the edge of the beach. Curious Alisha decided to break the silence.

"And that song you were singing earlier? Singing very well by the way." - She asked a little awkwardly.

"Oh, that song was Lidia's favorite, my late wife. She loved to hear me sing that song." - He explained with a warm smile remembering the good times he had spent with his wife.

"Oh, I'm sorry if i touched on a sensitive spot." - She said apologizing.

"No, that's fine. She was an amazing woman, and it's a pleasure to remember her. The only thing that tortures me is knowing that i won't see her again, at least not yet." - He explained.

"Can you tell me how she was like?" - She asked interested in knowing what the woman was like, the woman who conquered a man in such a way that he would never forget her.

"Fufufu, of course it will be a pleasure. She was..."

So Jonathan and Alisha spent the rest of the night talking about what his and Lidia's life was like before they died.

Alisha also opened up to Jonathan telling her what her life was like before all of this. The happy moments and the sad moments. Sad enough that Jonathan had to hug and comfort her.

And without realizing it, they ended up falling asleep hugging each other on the beach.

A few hours later Alisha woke up and saw that they were still hugging. She felt very happy, and at the same time ashamed.

Recalling the events of last night, she decided to respect Jonathan's decision and give him the necessary time to grieve.

So she got up and went to her camp, where Janet and Emily were pretending to be sleeping which she soon noticed.

"I know you guys aren't sleeping." - She said.

Rising immediately with a surprised look Emily asked.

"H-How do you know?"

Sighing Janet scolded Emily.

"*Sigh* Emily, you didn't even try to disguise that we were still sleeping?"

"But she said she knew." - Emily said completely lost.

"But she could be bluffing." - Janet said through gritted teeth.

"Oh. Sorry." - Emily said with an apologetic expression.

"I'm still here, and i wasn't bluffing." - Alisha said with a tired expression. "Come on, tell me what you saw last night."

"We followed you last night, and saw you and Jonathan talking and hugging. Are you guys dating now?" - Emily asked curiously and with a smile on her face.

"Emily! You promised you wouldn't say anything!" - Janet said angrily at Emily's lack of discretion.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot, Te he!" - Emily responded by giving herself a light punch on the head.

"Argh!" Janet just grunted at Emily's innocence.

"That's enough! No Emily, nothing happened last night. We just talked, nothing more, nothing less." - Alisha explained.

"Well, what the fuck? What kind of man wouldn't take the opportunity to date a woman who looks like Rias Gremory? Is he gay? He spends a lot of time with Jong-su, maybe both-

"Shut up, you're making me imagine things i don't want to. He's not gay, the guy's a widower, are you out of your mind ?" Alisha interrupted Janet's flow of absurd theories.

"Hehe, Jong-su and Jonathan." - Emily whispered drooling thinking of the two of them in an intimate moment.

"Fuck you, Emily!" - Alisha shouted and stormed out of the tent.

Unfortunately, she came across Jong-su and Jonathan vomiting in places far apart. Clearly they overheard the girls' daydreams and ended up imagining the situation as well.

Dying of embarrassment and frustration she just screamed high and ran away.

"Aaaah!"

"Gah- Alisha wait!" - Jonathan said washing his mouth and face with the [Water Creation] ability.

So he ran after her, while Jong-su passed out from vomiting and fell on his own vomit.

Seeing the racket outside and Alisha screaming, Janet and Emily came out of the tent to see what was going on.

As they came out, they saw Jonathan running after Alisha, and Jong-su lying on top of an unidentified pile of liquid.

Emily and Janet looked at each other and decided to follow Alisha and Jonathan. They did a high five and ran in the direction they had run.

So ended their busy day off, and they decided to return to the Nexus to complete the task.

Jeane, Melissa, and the rest of Jonathan's team were impressed with the evolution from [Gyarados (Shiny)] to [Rayquaza (Shiny)], which had happened before in the history of the Saints, with another Pokémon characters, but not with a [Gyarados] evolving into a [Rayquaza] .

This event was so rare that it had only happened another 16 times since Project Savior began.

Nothing very relevant happened after that. They went on to more tasks and further strengthened their friendship.

The rest of the month before the tournament flew by, during which time they didn't get any more Achievement or Extra missions, but Alisha and Jonathan became closer and closer to each other.

Besides, nothing very important happened. As a result, they only got 1000 points after completing 7 more tasks.

Finally the tournament was going to start in 2 days, so they decided to exchange their points for new characters.

So they approached Jeane and asked to use the character roulette. The characters that they got were: to Emily [Blossom - The Powerpuff Girls], to Janet [Baby Five - One Piece], to Jong-su [Ikki Kurogane - Hakudai Kishi No Eiyuutan], to Alisha [Fubuki (Blizzard Of Hell) - One Punch Man], and to Jonathan [Rou - Re:Monster].

Everyone really liked their new characters, until Jonathan's came out and surprised everyone first because nobody knew the character, only Jonathan knew who he was because the character [Rou] is kind of obscure.

"Basically it's a nerfed, less glorified version of [Rimuru Tempest] from the anime [That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime]." - Jonathan explained.

Everyone was surprised because of the characters that Jonathan usually gets at the roulette, this one has the greatest potential so far.

"Hehehe." - Jonathan gave a scary maniacal smile so big it looked like it was going to split his face in half.

Even his team was scared as they had never seen him like this before.

He said goodbye to his team and went straight to a solo training ground, that was much smaller than the team ones. Arriving there he closed the door and started laughing crazily like the Joker. So he declared.

"It's time for the Thanos Grindset!"
