My Intergalactic Soulmate

[WARNING: Violence and gore] “Did I just kill her?” Alexis was lying on the ground with wounds and bruises all over her. And to add to that she appeared to be lifeless. But slowly a soft crackling sound was heard. Alexis’s body was glowing in azure color. It seemed as if she was on fire. “No, no, no… you can’t disappear. Please don’t disappear.” But rather than disappearing, Alexis was now levitating in the air. Her whole body was lit in the azure fire. Her emerald eyes were now glowing like green balls of fire. Her dark ginger hair was floating aggressively behind her. She looked fearsome and at the same time also looked captivating. The fire around her was starting to engulf her. And after a while, an energy blast left her body. The blast was so powerful that the wall and structures around her were turned to mist. The Magical Words

The phone alarm rang at 5:30 in the morning. And Alexis slowly opened her eyes to turn off the alarm. She could feel the warmth of Vorian's body behind her and could also feel the weight of his arm around her waist.

Not wanting Vorian to leave her side, she did not wake him up. She wanted to stay like that in his embrace for some more time.

But she thought that she was behaving selfishly and was going to make him late. Though they had ample amount of time before reaching to the base, it was always better to account for some unfortunate mishaps like the car breaking down or something. That was the reason why Vorian wanted to hit the road an hour earlier than what was necessary.

Alexis did not want to feel guilty if something like that made Vorian late for his ship. So in the end, she put aside her desire to stay in his arms for some more and woke him up.

She turned around and gently placed her hand on his jaw, "Vorian, it's time to wake up."
