My Intergalactic Soulmate

[WARNING: Violence and gore] “Did I just kill her?” Alexis was lying on the ground with wounds and bruises all over her. And to add to that she appeared to be lifeless. But slowly a soft crackling sound was heard. Alexis’s body was glowing in azure color. It seemed as if she was on fire. “No, no, no… you can’t disappear. Please don’t disappear.” But rather than disappearing, Alexis was now levitating in the air. Her whole body was lit in the azure fire. Her emerald eyes were now glowing like green balls of fire. Her dark ginger hair was floating aggressively behind her. She looked fearsome and at the same time also looked captivating. The fire around her was starting to engulf her. And after a while, an energy blast left her body. The blast was so powerful that the wall and structures around her were turned to mist. Preparing for the Assessment

The digital screen on Alexis's room was displaying the time and date. It was 6:59 in the morning and the date was 8th August, 2293. It was a fine Sunday morning. And Alexis and Natalia were still sleeping soundly, tucked in Alexis's bed.

They both had been working hard daily for the past one month and today, they decided to take a break from their routine. They had final assessment coming in the next two days and they wanted to dedicate at least some time for their studies.

This was of course not a problem for Alexis with her super-memory. But Natalia was losing her calm because of the approaching examination.

The alarm rang at exactly 7 AM and Natalia was the first one to get out of the bed. She quickly ran in and out of the bathroom as if she was in extreme hurry for something. And before Alexis was awake, she took out her portable screen which was the size of a tablet and started to go through the notes of Aerodynamics.
