Becoming a Monster
"I'm turning into a monster, aren't I?" Alexis whispered to herself. Even when she vocalized this, she was still not feeling guilty about what she had just done.
But she also could not afford to feel guilty because then, she wouldn't be able to kill the enemies and protect the base and Vorian.
She averted her gaze from the mess she had made and stood in front of the core engine again. She focused her energy and created her fireball again. They were already nearing the base so she had to do everything real fast. She also had to finish off the other ship before it was too late to do so.
She aimed right at the core so that it would create a huge blast, causing the whole ship's functions to shut down and eventually, destructing the whole ship. She eyed at the window one last time before firing her fireball.
"Go!" And the moment she released her fireball from her palms, she broke the window pane and shot herself out of that burning ship.
