Dylan stared at the sobbing woman before her, her heart heavy with empathy. Harper's former partner, Leonie, had arrived at her doorstep, a broken, weeping mess. Dylan's own partner, Lydia, had simply shrugged her shoulders and left the task of comforting Leonie to her.
This was the first time Leonie had come knocking on their door since the day she had called Dylan to inform her of her breakup with Harper. At that time, Leonie had not shed a single tear, but now, two days after seeing Harper and Rachel together at the train station, the floodgates had opened, and she could not seem to stem the flow of her tears.
For an entire year, Leonie and Harper had been together; the latter had never asked her to come stay in the motorhome she called home. Instead, Harper had always been the one to visit Leonie at her apartment in Berlin, where they would spend two or three days before Harper would go to her sister's house and mostly spend a week.
