Guilty of Slander

"You! You're being unreasonable! My child has been in pain for days. How can it be fake?" A boy's mother continued to argue.

Qiao Yue laughed arrogantly, her eyes full of ridicule. "He's in pain and it's my fault? You're so interesting!"

With that, Qiao Yue turned to the teacher and said, "Teacher, you can check the surveillance footages from the first and third floors. You can analyze my movements compared to theirs to see if I caused trouble for them, or if I had other help."

At this moment, Qiao Yue's smile was a sign of unrepentance to these parent. Some parents were so angry that they wanted to hit Qiao Yue, but they were scared away by her bone-chilling gaze.

Since they couldn't attack her physically, they attacked her with their words. The mothers who initially cared about her face were now like runaway horses. They said anything and everything that was unpleasant to the ears, making the office look and sound like a dirty and messy wet market.

Just as the two sides were arguing, or more accurately, a group of aunties making a ruckus forcing Qiao Yue to apologize to their children while Qiao Yue ignored their words, there was a knock on the door. It was the boy whom the teacher had asked to retrieve the surveillance footages.

The boy was handsome and had a charming smile on his face. He was pleasing to the eyes and there were two other people behind him.

What a coincidence, Qiao Yue knew these two people.

"Mom!"

Qiao Xin shouted and quickly ran to her mom's side. She pretended to cry and said, "Mom, Qiao Yue bullied me at home and wanted to hit me at school. My classmates tried to protect me but was hit by him!"

As soon as Qiao Xin finished crying, the two women instantly turned their hard eyes on Qiao Yue.

"What's wrong with you, Qiao Yue? You've only been in school for a few days and you're already causing trouble!" The first madam of the Qiao family scolded.

Why did Qiao Xin only told on Qiao Yue two days after the incident? It was because she couldn't get hold of Qiao Yue for two days.

She had asked her second brother but he told her not to disturb Qiao Yue for two days, which made her very angry.

After waiting for two days, she finally managed to catch Qiao Yue at school. She immediately got her classmates to call their parents.

Qiao Yue glanced at the first madam indifferently and didn't take her words to heart. "Teacher, the surveillance footage should show that they were there to block me, right?"

Based on the way Qiao Xin did things, she was vicious and stupid. If she wanted to stop anyone, she would just get a group of people to show up. So, anyone who saw the video of them walking into the office building aggressively would think that they were up to no good.

The teacher took off her glasses and massaged her eyebrows. "Dear parents, the surveillance footage shows that Qiao Xin was the one who brought people to find Qiao Yue first. As there isn't any concrete evidence, it's hard to prove everything that happened. We can't conclude that Qiao Yue is in the wrong."

"What? He beat up my child and you're just going to let it go?" A mother screamed.

Qiao Xin's mother also frowned and said, "Teacher, this matter must be dealt with seriously. Although there is no surveillance footage, I feel bad that the children were beaten up because of Xin'er. Although Qiao Yue is a member of the Qiao family, we will not side with him. He's just started school and he's already caused so much trouble. The faces of the parents softened when they heard Qiao Xin's mother's words. It was just the third madam's words that made them more comfortable, but it was also on account of the first madam's face.

Otherwise, they would bear a grudge against Qiao Xin for what she had incited their children to do.

"Third Madam Qiao." Qiao Yue opened her eyes and said lazily.

"The teacher had already said that I'm not at fault. Are you deaf?"

Insults after insults had been hurled at Qiao Yue that she had long been impatient. Her entire being exuded an irritated aura.

"Qiao Yue, how can you speak to your aunt like that!" The first madam frowned and glared at Qiao Yue.

"So, there is somewhere here who know that the third madam and I are related! " Qiao Yue's words were sarcastic.

"Qiao Xin and I were just having a family feud, but she incited outsiders to pick on me. I'm impressed that Third Madam Qiao still had the cheek to show up here today." Qiao Yue started clapping as she spoke, as if she really admired her aunt. But the indifference and contempt in her eyes were like an invisible slap that ruthlessly slapped her aunt's face.

Third Madam Qiao's face turned green and white in anger. Finally, she retorted with a sullen face, "You were the one who started it first. Her classmates were just helping her and speaking up for her."
