ALEXA'S POV .
" Who is that mummy , does he like football ? " , My smile i'mmediately vanished from my face when I heard him ask that . I had been concentrated on him that l forgot that Adrian was also still around . ". Um Ivan he is ..... " , . ". I like playing football , can you play with me " , Just as I began stuttering , Ivan turned his attention to Adrian and when he smiled at him , he continued with excitement glittering in his dark brown eyes .
" My mum doesn't know how to play it and my dad doesn't like me very much to play with me " , When none of us said anything , he again added . At his words , l felt my heart beat more faster . The fact that Ivan at his young age said that Mark doesn't love him shattered my world .
It was now evident that even the little kids were getting effected by Mark's not being around at home . I wasn't that surprised because after him refusing to join them at the dinner , it disappointed both him and Chrissy . Jessica was fine , she had no time for him . That was all fine but now , Ivan had embarrassed me in front of Adrian . I didn't want him to intervene in to my personal life .
It was already late because when I turned and looked at him , he was all looking furious . l wasn't surprised still . After telling him the other night that l wanted to forget my husband ,he now understood my point . He did tell me in the club that he hates men who mistreat women . ". How about after you have eaten , we play some football in the garden if that's okay with your mum " , When Ivan continued to look at him with sadness in his eyes , Adrian lastly talked carefully and with love in his voice .
" Mummy are you okay with it? " , When Ivan turned his attention to me , all l did was nodding my head but l inwardly didn't know whether it was possible . Adrian was a bit different from all the billionaires l do know . Most of them are tough and arrogant but he was cool . At my response , we silently started to walk out of the room.
However as we walked , Ivan all of the sudden reached out and took Adrian's hand . " Ivan what are you doing come here , you can't just take a random man's hand , you don't even Know him " , l seriously murmured and at my words , Adrian looked at me and his jaws clenched with anger . Whatever it was , l just ignored him and gazed at Ivan . I would be seriously a dead meat if Mark sees him like that .
" You said that I could play with him football that means you Know him mummy " , My eyes instantly snapped wide at Ivan's response . I didn't think that when l nodded my head , it meant yes . I didn't even know him , it was just a one night stand with no strings attached but now here he was .
" Alexa it's fine " , Understanding my point , he uttered out before he turned his attention to the kid . " Your mom's right , little man you shouldn't be doing that , it's not safe , your mum is trying to make sure that you okay " , He reprimanded him in a good fatherly tone . I was honestly amazed . This was the first time for someone to agree with me .
" Can l get to know him mummy please , l do like him mummy , l promise l will eat all my horrible vegetables " , l became more speechless when l heard Ivan . At four years of age , he could shockingly say that . " We will talk about this later , we need to first find your sisters " , l changed the topic with a thought that Adrian won't intervene in to my personal life .
" Can I sit next to you at the table please " , My mouth immediately fall open when l heard Ivan speak to Adrian . He was surely not ready to give it a rest . It was now evident that he had found another role model of him . " Sure little man , if that's ok with your mom " , Adrian retorted and Ivan smiled brightly .
" Mummy are you okay with it ? " , He asked with his eyebrows raised up in askance . " Ivan , am looking for your sisters " , l still ignored it with a plastered smile on my face .

By the time we were in the dining room , most of the eyes were on us . Just like business men , after Adrian's friends walking over to him , l sighed in relief before l walked away with Ivan to go and look for his sisters . We walked but l didn't know what to do with him because he kept looking back to gaze at Adrian who was chatting with his friends .
" Played good ? " , With us now in the dining room , l stared at my daughters who had wide smiles on their faces . Ivan wasn't on us , he was gazing around , looking for his friend . " There you are Alexa , how are you darling , Mark told me that the kids were playing that is why you were late but l didn't believe that even one bit " , Just as l was chatting with my daughters , Mey , Henry's wife walked over to us .
