"MAY NOT REMAIN A MENDOZA FOR TOO LONG!"

If someone had any kind of doubt about anything then there was only one thing that Tiffany Mendoza had none about.

She was to wed Adam Herrington and there were no second thoughts regarding it.

She put the white pleated gown on top of her as she analyzed her look in the mirror.

Her sister, Melani stood behind her adoring her sister in their mother's wedding gown.

"So what do you think?"

Tiffany asked looking at her sister's reflection.

"You look beautiful."

"Just beautiful?"

Tiffany questioned. Melanie raised her eyebrows at her, not knowing what else to say.

Was not beautiful enough?

"I want to look more than beautiful."

Tiffany sassed.

"Anything my daughter-in-law wears will put the moon to shame."

Fiona got inside, interrupting the two sisters.

"Now that was the kind of response I needed."

Tiffany claimed, looking over at Fiona and then back to Melanie.

"I'm sure Mellie meant the same too."

Fiona came to stand beside Melanie, patting her back.

"So all that is left for my son to propose right?"

Fiona let out, making Tiffany's face turn sore and they all noticed it.

"Sometimes your son is a dumbass, no offense."

"None taken."

Fiona raised her hands, shaking her head. Tiffany knew she would never mind.

She had watched those girls grow up, alongside her boys. Eventually had to take the place of their mother when Ana Mendoza passed away suddenly leaving the girls motherless just on their fifth birthdays.

"But I'm sure Adam is going to pop that question very soon."

Fiona added to cheer up Tiffany's mood. She eyed Fiona if she was serious.

She had come to know that her soon-to-be mother-in-law would say things just to calm her nerves down.

"How soon?"

"Oh take a breath! Tiffy, he loves you, he will ask you eventually. "

Melanie said to which Tiffany just rolled her eyes. And in that very moment, Perry entered.

"I have never agreed with Melanie more than right now."

"Not you too, Aunty Perrie."

Tiffany hollered dramatically.

The two older women in their mid-forties shared a look of distaste because Perrie never liked the fact that the girls were closer to Fiona, an outsider than her.

"I know because he had given me some hints. "

Fiona dropped the bomb in the room making Tiffany jump up from her bed.

"You are serious?"

"So you think I will lie to you?"

Fiona retorted back playfully. Tiffany shook her head no and engulfed Fiona in a bone-breaking hug...just like that cheering up her mood.

She exactly knew what to say and what not to say to make the girls light up in the snap of her fingers.

"I mean can Adam even do better than me?"

Tiffy boasted. Fiona could not contain her laughter.

"That is out of the question...my daughter-in-law has to be a Mendoza anyway."

Fiona said making Tiffany grin. Perrie wanted to be out of there at that very moment. No wonder she did not like staying with them because Fiona would be more here than in her own place.

But the conversation continued regardless of Perrie getting annoyed.

"Should we have a beach theme wedding or in the church?"

"So do you think I should give them a hint about my upcoming wedding?"

It made her assistant look up at her from the iPad.

"What do you think?"

Tiffany asked again as the hairdresser did her hair.

"Did Mr. Herrington drop the question already?"

Beatrice questioned. Tiffany shook her head no.

"Well eventually he will, Bea."

Tiffy rolled her eyes. Bea was quick to walk up to her boss and get the matter straight.

The interview was to be simple, all about her rise in the modeling career and so she had made the interviewer focus only on questions regarding her career.

But if Tiffany wanted to be asked about such a personal question, there had to be a change of script.

"I made the questions all about your modeling journey. "

Bea let out. Tiffany shook her head getting annoyed.

"Then how is that supposed to break the TRP score, Bea?"

"People would watch you anyway, Ms. Mendoza."

Tiffany was sure about that. And it was too late to call for a change in the script anyway.

"Let's just get this over with then."

She responded by getting up and heading straight towards the studio.

Adam had gone to attend a business meeting out of the States and she was sure that he would ask her the big question as soon as he returned.

At least that was what Fiona assured her about and she could not even doubt that.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Tiffany Mendoza."

The clapping of the crowd took her by surprise, breaking her train of thoughts.

She graced the crowd with her brightest smile and waved her right hand just like she had been taught to.

Melanie watched her sister on the television, being in awe of how smoothly Tiffany handled the media and attention.

She could never as she thought about it. While she was the introverted Mendoza's sister, Tiffany was the outgoing one.

She was the unknown one, Tiffany was the known face of the family, besides their father even when she worked with her father in the company. Tiffany was never interested in the business anyway.

And in that way, Melanie felt obligated to come stand for her father. He was getting old and after their mother's demise, he had shut himself off emotionally, transforming himself from being a cheerful man to a cold one.

But the affection for his daughters remained even though it was hidden underneath his skin.

That was when their Aunty Perrie made an appearance, slowly trying to take the place of the guardian for the girls as their father was too consumed with work.

And Tiffany got close to her because her line of work collided with Perrie's. Perrie Mendoza had a name in the clothing fashion brand.

"Anything spicy you want to let out before we wind up the show?"

The interviewer tried to dig with a grin on her face. Tiffany smiled and even though she was not sure if she should have said it or not to the media, she went ahead either way.

"I might not remain a Mendoza for too long."

"What the fuck!!"

Melanie scoffed watching her sister on the screen as the crowd got crazy. Adam had not even asked her yet.

"So this confirms the rumors huh?"

The interviewer chuckled.
