My heart started beating faster as the moment started to heat up – my cheeks started to flush. Is this finally it?

“…to hire me as an assistant!” He exclaims – my face dropped instantly. But reality hit me faster than the way he had me waiting for his wish.

“What was I thinking?!” I ask myself as my face blushed in embarrassment – I start to cover my face as I lay on the bed helpless below him.

“What’s wrong? Was that too mu-?” I stopped him before he could say anything more. “Of course, I’ll do it – just tell me when you want to start,” I smile as I regained my composure.

“Thank you! I liked the experience I had today – but I also want my shift to be in the afternoon,” he said as he looked at me with puppy eyes.

I chuckled, “Maybe he prefers the afternoon shift because he’s not a morning person.” I also noticed lately how he has started to get out of bed later than me.
