Chapter 100

Obsession… what Jaughnn asked of me got me thinking deeply lately.

I never thought I’d hear that word from him – it’s confusing and scary, what exactly does he mean by obsession? I never got to ask him – however, he did brush the topic under the rug like he never said it.

“You can take your time, I will wait,” he added – as if it was a proposal for marriage.

I sighed in frustration – in this world and in the other, I can’t seem to understand him at all. The complexity in his mind – it is difficult to entangle and dissect.

“What exactly is on your mind?” I mutter to myself – lost in my thought as I walked around the streets of New York. I wanted to buy a little something for Lux before I went to visit him.

Of course, Jaughnn wouldn’t leave me alone completely – and so, I am currently being followed by dozens of guards in civilian clothing. Probably having timers on their hands for my medicine.
