My Husband Cheated On Me So I'm Marrying My Ex

Disclaimer: Some mature scenes are included “I’m sure she wasn’t feeling sorry when she’s all up on my husband last night!” When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. But there she was, anger, betrayal, and sadness washed over her all at once as she stared at her husband and the woman who had the same dark brown eyes and dark hair as her. They looked almost identical...? That same night, she stumbled onto the beach and before she knew it, she was sitting across the table from her high school ex, Caleb, looking down at the terms of their marriage contract that he drafted up hastily. Fuelled by anger and betrayal by the people she once loved, Alexandra knew she had to take things into her own hands. Together with Caleb, they plot her revenge. ---------------- "Alexandra…" Her name rolled off his tongue effortlessly as though it had always belonged there, the deep baritone of his voice causing her heart to skip a beat. Silence enveloped them in an instant as the air between them crackled with unspoken tension. The flood of memories engulfed them at that moment. How long had it been since they had last seen one another? Effortlessly, he reached for her back and under her knees, carrying her bridal-style before heading back to the car. "Is there anything I can help with? As thanks for… not running me over and providing me shelter?" "Actually, there is," Caleb said.  Alexandra turned, raising an eyebrow. She hadn't expected him to so shamelessly take her up on her offer when they both knew it was just to be polite. "This probably ain't the best time but… Do you want to get married?"

Chapter 58: One chance

His hand hovered over the door for a moment as he contemplated his decision, a million thoughts racing in his mind and he could feel his heart thumping against his chest. It was unlike his usual self to be feeling or acting this way, but he eventually mustered up the courage and he proceeded to knock on the door, and the sound of the knocking echoed in the apartment.

The door in front of him swung open in an instant. Kelly peeked through the gap and her eyes fell on Caleb standing on her front porch. His body was stiff and rigid, a tense look plastered across his face. She was going to close the door in his face but was stopped by his hand as he stuck it out to stop the door from closing completely. He forced the door open almost effortlessly.

Tension lingered in the air as silence as a moment of silence settled between them.

His features on his face softened. "Please, just let me see her, I need to talk to her. Even if it's one minute."
