D. Private Detective

Jack suddenly stopped, sending Kenzio's body crashing into his burly body. Kenzio's body immediately fell backwards.

"What's wrong, huh?!" Kenzio shouted. He got up and cleaned his pants which were dirty from falling on the asphalt.

"Look north, Ken! I found it, didn't I? You're lucky for this, Ken. Remember! You owe me one wish!" Jack said while pointing to the North side, where the figure of a teenage girl was walking unsteadily in this quiet night.

Kenzio immediately pushed Jack aside.

"Nana!!" Kenzio screamed as he ran towards Nana and hit the child, causing Nana's body to fall backwards.

"Dad?" Nana whispered. She sat on the paved ground. Did not understand the sudden arrival of her father.

Kenzio stood on both knees. He hugged his little daughter's body.

"Thank God! Nana, are you all right, Sweety? I'm sorry, Honey! I couldn't protect you!" Kenzio said while crying on his daughter's shoulder.

"Daddy!" Nana whispered back.

"Thank you, God! I'm safe, my daughter! Daddy has been so worried since you disappeared earlier, Nana!"

Nana smiled at her father, who sometimes acted childishly like this.

Kenzio pulled himself up. He examined Nana's whole body and touched his daughter's forehead. Nana's forehead was slightly warm. Maybe a fever.

"Wait! Who brought you earlier, Nana? How dare someone kidnap my precious daughter. I swears, he will teach the kidnapper a lesson if he finds it!" Kenzio hissed.

"What's wrong, Dad? What if I was kidnapped by someone else?"

"What?" said Kenzio, confused.

"I'm a grown woman, Dad. And I feel like I can protect myself after this. Daddy doesn't have to protect me at all costs or to hurt someone again after this."

While saying this, Nana forced a smile.

Kenzio's brow furrowed. He looked into Nana's eyes, asking for an explanation.

"I want to say a sentence like before, that I want to live independently. But, why do I feel I can't, Dad? I don't want to be separated from daddy and my brothers yet." Nana raved with slurs that Kenzio didn't understand at all.

And Nana started sobbing like before.

Nana wiped her tears, harshly. She glanced sadly at her father.

"So, if you still thinks of Nana as a child, please don't keep anything from Nana, Dad!" Nana tried to smile even though the tears had betrayed her.

Kenzio nodded quickly and wiped the tears on his daughter's reddened cheeks. Maybe Nana's fever is getting worse.

"I promise to obey whatever daddy orders, as long as daddy doesn't keep anything from Nana, okay?" Nana's gaze was still dark. She looked at Kenzio with a glint in her eyes.

Kenzio grabbed Nana's head to rest on his chest. He rubbed the girl's back gently.

"I'm not hiding anything from you, Nana. So, believe me!" Kenzio whispered.

Hearing Kenzio's words, Nana cried harder in her father's chest.

PRANG!

"Kyaa!"

I flinched at the sound of broken glass and the sound of people screaming. I was surprised to see something fell from the roof of the apartment.

Not something, but someone.

Without thinking I immediately ran towards the place of someone who had fallen who was now lying face down. Blood was flowing from her head and not far from her body were broken glass and eyeglass frames. Not far from the body there is also a guardrail.

I saw the unreadable look on her face. There is fear, trauma, and tension.

"Quickly call an ambulance!" I shouted.

One of them took his cell phone, while two people not far from me pointed their index finger at the roof with frightened faces.

"A-murderer!"
