CHAPTER 70

"Jolene, I won't stop saying sorry until you forgive me. I feel so tormented and tortured and really wish to see you again. Only if the moon goddess can grant my my wish," 

I continued walking on the dry land beside the stream, I felt better as the breeze blew. 

I feel better and relax anytime I come here.

The stream was really larger than I expected.

Suddenly, the unexpected happened. 

Jolene's scent suddenly hit my nose and I froze immediately.

"Oh my goodness! I think our mate is nearby," Killian suddenly said and I gasped.

I sniffed the air again and could still perceive her scent.

Hope this isn't an illusion or imagination?" 

"Jolene!" I screamed out and began running down the stream with speed, I was following Jolene's scent.

I kept running down the foreshore hoping to see Jolene miraculously, my heart won't stop racing fast.

I stopped running when I couldn't perceive her scent.

"Killian, please help me! Let's try and find her, my instincts keep telling me that she is alive. I just need to find her, can you try tracing her scent again?" I asked Killian, looking around, to see if I could find anyone.

"Her scent is gone, I think she was close by but has gone back." Killian said and I sighed disappointedly.

My only joy is that she was alive! 

There's still hope of seeing her again, I will make sure I visit her every day..
