CHAPTER 15

"Everything about Lycan. I only know that they're stronger than werewolves."

"We Lycans are always human before we turn, and our turning process would take us nearly two years. And after that, we'll be bestowed with our own Lycan. And that's how it's going to go with you, darling." Mom explained which made me excited. 

I'm finally not useless, I wondered what Maverick's reaction would be when he discovered that I'm actually not weak and I'm very powerful instead. I rubbed my hands in excitement.

"During your Lycan awakening training, you'll also be trained as the next leader." Dad suddenly revealed which made me freeze.

"Ly… Lycan king." I gasped and stuttered in shock, excitement, and trepidation.

"Yes, you'd be the next Lycan king after your dad," Mom said nonchalantly which made me surprised about how they were casually saying this.

"But… I'm just ordinary…"

Dad's face hardened which made me gulp in fear, "Don't ever say that." He interrupted me.

"But, I dunno if I can be a Lycan King. A powerful one like Dad." I said in fear.

Even though I was excited about the position, I don't think I'm capable of being a Lycan king, especially when I'm new here. "Would everyone be willing to accept me, a person without training?" I asked them.

Mother pulled me into an embrace. She began to stroke my cheeks in comfort as tears pooled in my eyes.
